Football managers will tell you โ€“ once youโ€™re in the groove and have momentum, the last thing you need is a break. Here on the โ€œFantasy Flutterโ€, we’ve been cashing in on Paddy’s prices week in and week out – most recently bagging a tidy sum from Jamie O’Hara’s anytime goal contribution in gameweek 11. With the international break now over, we have to hope that we can rekindle our form and sting our bookmaker friends once moreโ€ฆ

Normally at this stage in the Flutter, I begin to dissect play and performance of a few of the Scout picks, suggesting some nice safe odds for our pennies in an attempt to grind some profit out. But pennies only buy pennies, and the taste of victory is never that sweet when the return can’t even buy you a pint. So this week, let’s see if we can make some decent wedge.

Weโ€™re looking to turn a ยฃ6 stake into a healthy ยฃ102 courtesy of Paddyโ€™s Leighton Baines market. Paddy are posting a 16/1 market for Baines to score from a free-kick against Wolves, and we’re going take it with bells on. Baines is a Fantasy favourite after last seasonโ€™s returns, and although heโ€™s failed to live up to his billing so far this term, heโ€™ll be a key man as Everton look to climb back up the table with a win over Wolves this weekend.

That punt leaves us with just ยฃ4 from our tenner stake, and with four markets left to go, it better be a ยฃ1 on each.

Up first is another Scout Pick from the Everton ranks, the firecracker that is Royston Drenthe. Eased into the starting lineup by David Moyes, heโ€™s now established on the scene, having made a real impact in recent weeks. Weโ€™re backing a few goals in the Goodison encounter, so weโ€™ll go with Drenthe to score and assist at 20/1.

West Brom haven’t had much to cheer about this campaign, having been heavily disrupted by injuries up front. Chris Brunt has had to lead the charge from the middle, and although heโ€™s only netted once, he will be key for the Baggies as they look to climb the table. With Bolton at the Hawthorns this weekend, weโ€™ll back Brunt to score and avoid a booking at 4/1 for our quid.

Nicklas Bendtner might get some rough treatment for his delusions of grandeur, but his performances so far for the Black Cats, have given Fantasy managers room for optimism. He’s cheap, threatens goals and assists, and can even pick up a few bonus points in a Sunderland side bereft of big starts. With two goals during the international break, the Dane should be brimming with confidence when he lines up against Fulham this weekend โ€“ the first of several decent fixtures for Steve Bruceโ€™s side. Paddy have Bendtner at 9/2 to score a header, but theyโ€™ve gone two points better on him to score two or more goals at 16/1. Thatโ€™s better odds than the other bookies, and enough to claim a pound of our pot.

And finally… in our โ€œwho will score the most goals specialโ€, weโ€™ve included Robin Van Persie, Sergio Aguero and Luis Suarez โ€“ all big name strikers who will be heavily backed by Fantasy managers this weekend. With Van Persie and Aguero near even money, and with only a single nugget left, weโ€™ll take 9/2 on Suarez to net against Chelsea as the final punt in this weekโ€™s Flutter.

Money Back Specials

No doubt where the big Money Back Special can be found this week – down at Stamford Bridge. With Fernando Torres set to face his former club, Paddy are promising that, if Torres scores a goal at anytime in the match, they will refund all losing 1st/last goalscorer, correct score & scorecast singles on the match.

Register and Bet ยฃ10 And Get ยฃ20 Free

If youโ€™re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free ยฃ20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Powerโ€™s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I saw an interview with Jags and he said if he rested it would heal quicker but if he plays it will still heal but it'll just take a bit longer to heal. He just needs to have a pain killing injection before the game so he said it wouldn't stop him playing.
I think I used the word 'heal' enough then didn't I?

My thinking is Sess has better fixtures for the next 4 weeks.. and then if Drenthe looks the real deal I'll ditch Sess for Drenthe then (for Swans and Norwich at home)

Depends how much risk you fancy TM.

Walters is probably most consistent, then Sessegnon, then Drenthe.

Short term fixtures are good for Stoke too, but then they toughen up, while the other 2 are better over 6.

Personally I'd take Walters (and have). But I can understand the risk/reward argument for the other 2.

Ferguson is a disgrace. You're going to need your bench over Christmas so they MUST actually play football occasionally. I think your Sub order is right though. Might need him if Jones doesn't play. Possible after 2 games for Eng.

I disagree, I think Ferguson is very handy. Most teams will play 3 big names upfront. Most teams will have VDV, Silva and perhaps a Walter's like figure.

You can only play 4 in mid and if you already have a mid priced player perhaps Ramsey/Brunt etc then you'll be forced to drop one to the bench. I think 2 playing subs and your 1 free transfer will be enough to cope with the christmas season

This is how i have it now:

    Westwood
    McCauley – Wilkinson – Lescott
    Walters – Modric – Silva – Mata – Drenthe
    RVP – Suarez

    Vorm, Ba – Enrique – R.Taylor

Any Suggestions, ive done my free transfer!

    Replies appreciated,
Response would be good this time...
Is Hibbert crazy talk? Got this:

    Ruddy (Given)
    Kompany Brown ShawX (Bos, Simpson)
    Moses, Silva, VDV(vc), Ramsey (Sinclair)
    RVP(c), Ade, Sturridge.

    Got 2 FT’s, 1.2m in bank.
Thinking boring, Bos out for Hibbert, need a def with great fixtures the next 5, and save the transfer to ditch Given and maybe Kompany next week. Would play 4 at back and bench Moses!
Any suggestions team??? (Technically could do Moses out for Drenthe….)

Cos if I wanted to know about cricket I would go on a cricket website? Its got fack all to do with this site so its surely pointless. Like me going on a cricket forum and saying

"do you think VDV will be fit Monday" Mean f all

Blatter's remarks is not helping Luis Suarez.
I think they'll (The FA) be wanting to set an example.
Got a feeling he'll be getting a hefty suspension.

Whenever a player wears new boots, they always score. CR7, Cesc and Rooney have proved the theory.

Suarez will score today, so will Bale
