With gameweek 12 now complete, it’s time to round up all the miscreants and take stock of the ramifications their offences will bring. We’ve already spoken of the 22 Saturday yellows in our previous review and after the addition of the Sunday and Monday games, that yellow card count ticked up to 29.

However, there were no further names joining Wigan’s Antolin Alcaraz, and the Saturday additions, Joey Barton, David Dunn, Stephen Hunt and Jamie O’Hara on the ban list for gameweek 13 (extending to GW14 in the case of the Wigan man).

Meanwhile, the population of the Suspension Tightrope was boosted tonight by a fourth yellow card for Villa’s reborn Bulgarian, Stiliyan Petrov. There are now up to 11 nervous souls on the tightrope, with Saturday’s new faces: Ryan Shawcross and Lee Cattermole, already making themselves uncomfortable on the high wire.

The final mention in the shake-up from gameweek 12 must go to the card happy pair of Steven N’Zonzi and Lucas Leiva. The Blackburn and Liverpool enforcers both picked up further yellows over the weekend. N’Zonzi’s in the bizarre 3-3 draw at Wigan, making that six in just 12 league appearances, with Lucas’ yellow in the win against Chelsea, his sixth in 13 games across league and cup this season. The pair now forge ahead together in the lead of the card β€˜race’, with a two-match ban; the prize if either (or both) of them makes it to 10 before the distant April 8 deadline.

Gameweek 13 Bans

  • Antolin Alcaraz (Wigan) – FA Charge
  • Joey Barton (QPR) – 5 Yellows
  • David Dunn (Blackburn) – 1 Red for 2 bookings
  • Stephen Hunt (Wolves) – 5 Yellows
  • Jamie O’Hara (Wolves) – 5 Yellows

Gameweek 13 Tightrope

  • Gabby Agbonlahor (Aston Villa)
  • Stiliyan Petrov (Aston Villa)
  • Frank Lampard (Chelsea)
  • John Terry (Chelsea)
  • Brede Hangeland (Fulham)
  • Steve Sidwell (Fulham)
  • Gareth Barry (Man City)
  • Ryan Shawcross (Stoke)
  • Glenn Whelan (Stoke)
  • Lee Cattermole (Sunderland)
  • Richard Stearman (Wolves)

Motherflippers! God a red arrow after the updates πŸ™

That was my own fault for posting earlier saying I'd taken four 4 point hits and they had all resulted in a week with a green arrow, and that hopefully the Spurs bonus wouldn't take me down 2,000 places.....they did

Who to bench next week out of:

    Lamp / VDV / Silva / Walters / Sess
    RVP / Sturidge / Klasnic

Everybody except VDV and Silva have easy home games....

Expect load of points, althouth this week the trio Lamp-VDV-Silva (2+3+1) brought me less points then Walters (7) by alone.

I had Silva from the very beginning, but my first choice really is Silva. I would not bench Klasnic, since he might score, seems to be in form.

Problem with Silva is that he has never had two poor weeks in a row - it means after the poor gameweek (as previous one), he scored next week a load of points.

        Shall I be brave?

        To bench Silva?

When RVP was in his scoring form last season I benched him against a top 4 team (Utd) and got away with him just getting an assist.

Sometimes it pays to be a little brave/different. If you really like your other players fixtures then you have to take into account that Liverpool shouldn't be an easy game for City (although I expect them to win).

So getting rid of Adebayor to fund VDV paid off well for me!

In fairness though he had 7 shots in 69mins to get the 2 goals, so maybe long term will be better off.

Got a very red and white team next week, only VDV letting me down!

£2.4 in the bank to upgrade after this week.

Was originally going to be a Milner > Silva/Nani this week, but quite like that team for the coming gameweek, so going to stick and see if Sunderland flop again this week in attacking stakes or if Stoke remain useless defensively.

That's what weekly transfers are for.

Stoke/Sunderland had a good 4 week fixture list including last weekend. Shawcross only stayed because of QPR and Wigan being terrible........

Sunderland Brown will stay, then either Sess or Bendtner may dependent on form.

basically arsenal can win 1-0 anyday and stoke and sunderland are not guaranteed returns. u may find urself with 20pts in any given week so be wary to this fact that's all.

I'd take 1-0 on a midfielder here and there, can't get assists and goals every week, so happy with a 6.5 (that's what bought for) at top clubs.

As season pans out would expect the big clubs to continue with big wins here and there, with small clubs less likely.

I agree on the Stoke/Sunderland but the 4 week fixtures meant fancied keeping in and Wilkinson seemed stupid to not get in comparison to Mcauley etc, based in fixtures.

Sess or Bendy or both will probably go in the long term, especially if don't get much on the good run of fixtures they have!

Keeping? I was going to to Nani > Lamps this week but i am tempted by Silva > Lamps. All depends on if Nani starts in the CL this week.

Thinking Kompany is over-priced for what he is scoring. Looking at replacing him with one of, Jagielka, Assou Ekotto, Jones or maybe use my 2 freebies and grab Baines via dumping nani or vdv > bale.. not sure what to do

        nah already have simpson..

        team is

        Vorm (Ruddy)

        Kompany, Brown, Wilkinson, Barnett (Simpson)

        VDV, Nani, Silva, Larsson (Allen)

        RVP, Aguero, (Graham)

ideally i play simpson most weeks but will play barnett with nor playing qpr
wilkinson has been terrible since i got him in. and need to avoid playing allen or graham most weeks.. so if i downgrade kompany or vdv/nani to a certain degree i can start saving up for a better 5th mid / 3rd fwd.

I'm going to start him against Blackburn though...

Not much better at 4.0 though - i'm upgrading to Jagielka with spare cash next week.
