As we announced in our previous post, Rafael Van der Vaart is available for Spurs tomorrow. Elsewhere, another fast and furious Friday brings plenty news from around the Premier League- read on for more as the press conference updates begin to roll in.

Dimitar Berbatov, Rafael and Fabio have all been ruled out of Man United’s trip to Aston Villa tomorrow. The trio picked up injuries in the midweek Carling Cup defeat by Crystal Palace, though Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed the Bulgarian’s injury is not a serious one.

Sylvain Distin looks set to return for Everton’s game against Stoke. The centre-half has been training with the first-team since Monday and is likely to recover from a groin strain ahead of the Goodison clash on Sunday. Phil Neville, Jack Rodwell and Royston Drenthe are all being assessed as the Toffees go for three wins in a row.

Shane Long is to take pain-killing injections in order to overcome a groin problem and play at QPR tomorrow. With Zoltan Gera ruled out for the season earlier this week, Long’s presence up front will be a major boost for West Brom ahead of the Loftus Road showdown.

Cheik Tiote will be missing once again for Newcastle as Chelsea make their make to Tyneside. The Ivorian has been sidelined for five games now, though Danny Guthrie has proven to be an able deputy alongside Yohan Cabaye. Leon Best is set to recover from a groin problem and boost Alan Pardew’s forward options.

Steve Kean received a significant boost ahead of tomorrow’s game with Swansea. Chris Samba, Martin Olsson and Michel Salgado are all available for the Ewood Park showdown for bottom of the table Blackburn. Junior Hoilett is a doubt, though, having picked up a virus.

Owen Coyle’s defensive worries are starting to ease up. Joe Riley is making good progress from a hamstring problem, while Sam Rickets has been penciled in for a reserve outing next week as he continues his recovery from an Achilles injury. Neither will feature tomorrow at Spurs, though. Coyle confirmed both Dedryk Boyata and David Ngog are in contention for comebacks tomorrow, though Ricardo Gardner and Nigel Reo-Coker are rated as “touch and go”, with knee and hamstring problems respectively.

Danny Graham is a major doubt for Swansea at Blackburn tomorrow. Leroy Lita is likely to lead the line for the Swans, with Graham struggling to overcome an Achilles problem sustained in last week’s draw with Aston Villa. Ashley Richards should deputise for Angel Rangel at right-back, with the Spaniard sidelined for a month with an ankle injury picked up in the same game.

Richard Stearman is set for a speedy return to the Wolves first-team. The right-back looks likely to play with a protective cast on his injured wrist on Sunday at home to manager-less Sunderland- Ronald Zubar seems set to drop out again for the crucial clash against the Black Cats.

Neil Warnock revealed he is still optimistic that Shaun Wright-Phillips will be involved in QPR’s game with West Brom. The winger- who has been playing up front of late- picked up a foot injury last week but is set to feature, providing he comes through today’s training session unscathed. Adel Taarabt could return to the first-team squad, while Kieron Dyer and David Connolly are making good progress from injury.

Damien Duff is a doubt for Fulham’s game with Liverpool on Monday night. The winger returned to the first-team in last night’s Europa League clash with FC Twente but suffered a recurrence of a hamstring problem.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I would leave it - Sess with something to prove to a new manager and a nice fixture next week when O'Hara is away to Man U.

Put him in the week after next if you want when Wolves have 2 nice homers and Sunderlands fixtures get tougher.

yes, because now my dilema over my spare freebie has resurfaced. I was gonna drop Rafa for Theo for 1 week, but now that he's fit I'm gonna stick by my man. I want 2 frees next week, so what to do with my 1 spare Team is linked

    Here are my options

    1) Westwood - Cerny

    2) Woodgate - McAuley/Gabbidon

    3) Sinclair - Drenthe/O'Hara/Hunt

    4) VDV - Theo

    Thoughts???

Can't afford Ward, no cash in bank, plan is to eventually replace Wooders with Jags and Westy with Friedel, so they would be short term moves, but every chance Sincs could score (but I have 2 Swans) really tempted by Gabs/McAuely, and Simpson is out as I want Ba next week and Tiote is being replaced b Barfa (at least that's the plan, unless a Leon Best sized hole gets put in it, so would have 3 Newcastle players)

Just throwing some thoughts out on the choice of Baines Vs Vidic leading to the DGW.

Baines: STO ars NOR SWA sun wba (2 cleanies, 2 Goals, 1 assist, 8 baps)

Vidic: ast WOL qpr ful WIG BLA (3 cleanies, 2 baps but only played 4 full games)

Both have some very nice fixtures coming up and either way id want Baines for the double but considering since Vidic has been back United have kept 3 cleanies out of 4 i look at those two sets of games and fancy Vidic to get 4/5 cleanies. Young is also back and can deliver some mean set pieces, Vidic is good for the odd goal so is it worth going Vidic this week then swapping for Baines before the double or just get Baines now?

I'm also trying to decide between these two. I'm sort of leaning toward Baines because of the DGW, but I do see United really racking up the cleanies over the next couple of months.

The double isnt for a while yet tho, im thinking maybe getting Vidic is the thing to do, then switch to Baines for the double. Like u say i think United will tighten up over this period near Xmas, 3 cleanies out of 4 that hes played, yet to score this season but always a threat from set pieces...Hmm...

depends who they swapped him for. If its Bale then its just a sideways move to a cheaper player with the same potential. Actually Bale could prove better points per value over the next few weeks.

If the swap was for anyone else then they must be gutted.

    ok my team for wknd

    vorm (ruddy)
    kompany walker enrigue
    vdv walters drenthe silva
    rvp aguero adebayor
    (allen, simpson, wilkinson)

now i,ve 2 freebies but cant see anywhere to use them
i want to make 1 transfer to tidy up few weak spots and still have 2 freebies next week

i know drenthe might not start but allen is an ok sub, so i'll leave him for another week, besides i'd only have 6m and dont really think there's alot on offer at that price.

    so would you
1)get rid of ruddy for perhaps cerny(can change at wc if it doesnt work out)
    or
    2)wilkinson for 4m defender(and who?)
    or
    3)anything better

I'd keep Wilko as your cheap link into the Stoke defence (which will improve as they get their sh*t together again), and downgrade of of your expensive defenders in order to upgrade Ruddy to someone decent.

City have scored atleast 3 in most games this season and Norwich haven't conceded more than 3 so far. So, I am predicting a score of 3-0 to City. Aguero and Balotelli to start and score a goal each. The third one could be scored by anyone. Just thinking aloud.

Was thinking of bringing Hibbert in but wondering if Distin's return is going to affect his chances of starting? I know they play different positions but it would mean Heitinga possibly being displaced to right back instead?

I was a bout to ask whether doing Rooney to Kun for 1 week was worth it. I have Silva so and Rooney as my only Manc & Manu coverage So I'm a little loathe to do anything rash.

Seen him sold for gash like wolves players.. Achamps league chaser with an easy game sold for average player at relegation fodder-madness

ok I have worked out a way to get Theo, VdV and Silva, but it's dependant on no price rises before next GW (assuming I do my 2 frees before sunday)

This week I do Woodgate - McAuley

Next week Sinclair - Walcott and Aguero - Ba

Week after - Westwood - Krul and maybe Brown-Jags for 4 point hit

this leaves me half a mill spare which I could leave Tiote in with and have as spare to cover potential rises and then see what is left to replace him with, but he does rotate well with Allen.

    Thoughts???

Don't think Walcott is worth it at 8.9, why not get Bale who's on much better form and is actually cheaper? Having Spurs in abundance seems pretty wise at the moment, and Arsenal's fixtures are a lot tougher than Spurs' in December. RVP would be enough Arsenal
