Happy New Year From The Scout!

As the made-up words of Auld Lang Syne drift off into the night, here at the Scout, we’d like to wish all our visitors a happy New Year!

Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to enjoy another superb twelve months. The new server setup that keeps us running on deadline day, the redesign, the Premier League columns – it’s been a fantastic year of progress once again.

We’re not quite sure what 2012 will have in store – although I am sure that we’re going to go on delivering the best Fantasy Football resource we can.

Plans are being hatched, progress already made behind the scenes. Ed our genius technical director is already playing with new toys. Pure Olivia is also working on new stuff and Sir Paulos is, as we speak, learning some new words. Commercial man Chris meanwhile, is finding some new pop-up adverts to annoy you all. It’s going to a big 2012!

A massive thanks goes to those guys and all the Scout contributors past and present – Granville, Andy, Akers, Greek Fan, Big Dunc, John, Money Mike, Anorak, Ryan Da Beeeez, Karl and Greg.

And, one again – thanks and Happy New Year to you – our visitors.

    hmmm....I can afford Gallas or King, I know if King comes back Kaboul will be benched but if Dawson comes back too Gallas will prob be benched...what to do....

      if king is back gallas could be benched too because harry has some love for kaboul with his association back to pompey

      king will def play one of the nxt 3 home games for spurs (basically their next 3 games) and will probably feature in 2 of the 3.

      Dawson is also nearing fitness meaning he will probably feature in the other one and gallas most likely will be sacraficed

      Gallas is 4th choice CB acc to the sages on here. However, King is crocked and never going to play these games in close proximity.
      Dawson has started full training again so is unlikely to play just yet.
      You might want to do what I did and just try to get 2-3 games out of Gallas and then remove with the w/c.
      Watched the highlights earlier-q impressed with Kaboool dribbling the ball in SWN penalty area.

        Thank you for everyone's advice. However, a question has arisen, and that is whether Drenthe will play both matches in the Double Gameweek. Will the arrival of Landon Donovan put Drenthe's position in the starting eleven at risk? Furthermore, Everton are unlikely to score against Tottenham, so is it still wise to transfer out Larsson, who will be playing Wigan?

    1. Shotton played 41 minutes, did he start or come on as a sub? Any reason for lack of minutes?
    2. Sturridge failed to play 70 the last 2 games, Christmas rest or?
    3. Nani, what is wrong with that silly man?
    4. Who you all captaining for DGW? Going to watch the Spurs reply when it's on, but I saw on the espn soccernet that Bale was almost CF again, will probably go him with points for CS and 1 more for a goal.

          With Wilkinson and Pennant back, Shotton may be back on the bench, especially after conceding the penalty today. Don't know much about Stoke though.

          Nani had the letter N shaved into his head today, directly above one ear. Lot's of shots, most off target.

          I'm going with Adebayor ATM simply becasue he's the #1 striker, but your logic may be more sound.

      Just goes to show how shit this game is.

      The scoring system is a load of bollocks.

      A four point deduction, in light of the aforementioned crap scoring system, for a 2nd transfer is, quite frankly, ludicrous.

      All in all, FPL has to be the most tragic Fantasy game ever.

      Those 2 would be my priority to be honest. But if I had to choose between them then I'd go for Bale.

      But c'mon they are THE two you need above all others (including VDV, Walker, BAE etc...).
