Our Player Projections in the Members Area have now been updated for the half-season period. These now offer our view on the predicted returns from Gameweek 21 to the end of the season, giving some further assistance for those still to play their January Fantasy Premier League wildcards.

These projections use various factors, including past performance and historical data, the difficulty of fixtures facing each player and current form. Members can sort the table by any of the data columns, including total points for the season, projected points from Gameweek 21 onwards and projected value based on these returns.

They will be updated leading up to the Gameweek 21 deadline this weekend, should any injury or transfers come to light – the only pending transfer currently included in the tables is Gary Cahill’s seemingly inevitable move to Stamford Bridge. Just to be clear, these projections won’t be updated after the Gameweeek 21 deadline. Much like the pre-season projections, they provide a snapshot view.

As mentioned earlier, half-season memberships are now available for just £10. This will give users access to these projections along with the Opta player and team statistics, the full season ticker and exclusive Members articles.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Constructive criticisms are more than welcome...

    Krul (Vorm)
    Enrique BAE Jones Simpson (Shotten)
    Bale Silva Valencia (Walter) (Sessegnon)
    Sturridge Aguero RVP

Much obliged ladies and gents 🙂

I'd rather have a cheap midfielder, say Moses, as bench cover and use the extra cash elsewhere. Seems a waste to have one of Sess or Walters on your bench every week.

Very good point....and I have thought about it. But I couldn't see where I could pump the extra funds.

I have had Walters since gw1 so I wont get rid cause he's a legend. Sess could be downgraded for Ben Arfa....can you see where the savings could be pumped into?

I disagree. Walters only gets his points at home, so rotating him when he has away matches seems like the way to go.

You can't assert that a certain player ALWAYS gets their points away from home. It has been asserted many a time before and proven wrong every time.

Quite a few RMWCT with RVP-Rooney-Aguero up top. Now I think RVP and Aguero are the best two striker picks for now (given form, position, fixtures etc.) but I'm still not convinced Rooney is worth it.
    Rooney Pros:
+ Plays in a very good attacking team
    + Penos
+ Shouldn't be rotated now this silly little episode is over
    + Some direct FKs

    Rooney Cons
    - Doesn't usually play as main striker
    - Can be deployed in central midfield
    - Not the greatest fixtures

On balance I'm still not sure he's the third best striker option in the game - Adebayor for example whilst having tough fixtures (same as Rooney) is nailed on and always plays as the main striker. Yakubu has decent fixtures, penos, plays in an attacking team and is half the price.

    What do other people think?

He's my best decision of this year as I got him in the day he was added to the game and hasn't left since. If he'd scored vs. West Brom he'd still be in most RMTs.

yep he's done nothing in weeks to show he's worth the money to the extent the other two are and there's cheaper united coverage that can be just as effective, too many cheap value strikers to be worth going three huge up top.

well I did 2 teams 1 with the big 3, one without Rooney, people seemed to think the non-Rooney one is better. You're also forgetting about Demba Ba when he comes back, Yak or Sturridge could be easy to transfer out for Ba, not so with Rooney

I went for Aguero ahead of Adebayor purely for fixtures given that he wont be available for the city game.

I would rate Adebayor/ Rooney as the next best thing, adebayor shading it!

If you don't pick Rooney the obvious alternative is to have Nani or Silva to bolster the midfield instead but that has been done already. I can see Rooney going on a good run. Fixtures don't matter cos he can score against anyone.

sorry for repost... lost at bottom of previous page...

basically need some help prioritisng. have already played 1 WC, a bit apprehensive about playing another so early too.

if you had this team, would you WC?

    Howard (Ruddy)
    Kompany Enrique BAE Simpson NTaylor
    Silva Bale Etherington Drenthe Moses
    Ade RVP Sturridge

the plan for this week was to do Eth > Valencia, that still viable given Sturridge / Silva potential injuries and Kompany’s ban? Back 4 prob has enought in it to do the next 2 GWs?

    1.9 in the bank.

    Thoughts much appreciated!

howard should go. he's not reliable, especially with everton injuries e.g. Hibbert, Jags et al.

kompany 4 game ban must get rid.

personally don't rate enrique. check his career scoring stats. never gets goals!

neil taylor - swansea fixtures terrible. can't see any clean sheets for a few weeks.

drenthe you probably got in for DGW. i would get rid now.

ade would keep if you got him cheap, otherwise get rid and get back again after city game which he will miss.

use the money you save by making the above savings by upgrading sturridge to aguero, given man city's superb fixtures, and the injuries to balo and edin ensuring game time for the sergio.

swap Helguson for Yak or Sturridge, lose one of Sess, Walters or Barfa as you'll struggle to know who to bench every week and go cheap, maybe Moses or McLean if you lose Sess. I'd say go Sigurdsson or McEchran, but Swansea's mid could be about to get as unpredictable as Norwich's, then upgrade Ruudy to Schwarzer

Youve got too much in your midfield. You will have to bench either walters, sess or BA everyweek. Just bring in moses/mclean and bump up helguson to somebody else. Unless you really want helg in your team. Or try and get dempsey in after downgrading one of your mids.

I think I really want Helguson, reckon Hughes coming will affect his playing time though?

This is for GW24 btw, so Fulham fixtures not great are they? Not too keen on him if i'm honest. Thanks for the help though, maybe the three mids are too hard to rotate.

    Krul, Migs
Richards, Simpson, Shotton, Caulker, Kelly (all cheapies rotate well)
    Silva, Bale, Dempsey, Walters, McLean
    RVP, Rooney, Aguero

I guess re-sale value (mine is 105.4m) is the key figure. I think you are right about the bench thing, and rotation works well with the first team

Enrique has done me proud, but his fixtures look reasonably tough for the forseable, and he isn't doing anywhere near as much attacking stuff recently.

I think I'll plump for the first, as it has so many good value players in it.

Yep, we are on equal terms 😉 Not really keen to bring in Caulker (or any Swansea cover for that matter) until GW30. Then again, not really keen on doubling up on Stoke either. (And pay an extra 1.1M for ShawX)

For me Swansea fixtures look okay after GW23. With Richards as my Man City defender, a rotation of 2 from Newcastle, Swansea, Fulham and Stoke City seems to be fine, as long as those players are regular starters.

The ones I have chosen seem fairly nailed on and cheap. Therefore no need to double up (except Newcastle for me with Krul, but Newcastle are looking very good defensively.

I dont think City, Tottenham or Uniteds fixtures matter, because these teams can out perform any other team in the Prem (we did have a strange Christmas week, granted)
So dropping any players from these teams due to upcoming fixtures is unnecessary in my opinion.
The more players from these teams the better because these are the finishing top three, and to finish in the top three you have to score goals and keep the odd clean sheet - Against anyone.
Sorry to any Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool fans but I just cant see you finishing top three (even if you sign super Cahill)

You're trying to optimize rotation between two teams - you want them to be at home as often as possible. Click on the tab for the first team at the bottom. It will then tell you which team you should rotate it with to have the fewest GWs away from home.

My defence: Richards, Simpson, Shotton, Kelly, Caulker

One good defender who plays each week. Rotate the other four, playing two each week. There is obviously the risk that the likes of Shotton and Kelly might not play, but given their very low price I think it's worth the risk, and if one doesn't play then there are two other defenders on the bench. So overall I think the likes of Kelly are viable so long as you other defenders are worthy of coming off the bench.

Not sure about Bramble, but now that he's got three sex case charges against him I'd be surprised if he plays for Sunderland again.
