Seven three o’clock kick-offs with Chelsea, United, Liverpool and Spurs all enjoying home comforts – the scene is set for a bonanza of Fantasy points. While such a scenario has a habit of smacking us round the chops, we’re remaining optimistic and have opened our Dugout Discussion chatroom ready to soak up your views as the points pour in.

It’s safe to say that the Old Trafford clash between United and Bolton will carry the biggest expectation amongst the Fantasy fraternity. Wayne Rooney and Nani will go into the game with armbands stacking up, while Tottenham’s attacking talent will again carry our hopes as they face up to Wolves at the Lane.

Good luck for the Gameweek, we’ll see you on the other side with the Knee Jerk.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I, like most here am really frustrated with the past 3/4 GW. It was our opportunity to prove that its worthwhile putting in effort in our fantasy teams but instead it has been chaos. Dead teams and minileague leaders who are playing 3 newcastle boys at the back and taking no DGWrs are lucking out every week. They put in no effort make no transfers and still outscore us hardcore FFrs by 20 points. I can only hope that in the coming weeks our luck will change, there is just under half the season to go. I am chasing some well within the top 1k and will not give up. I know we have the ability all we need is luck.

F*ck it!! its Saturday night!!! lets get p*ssed drown our sorrows and wait until next week (or tomorrow/monday if u still have a captain to play)

I know what you mean. Agree with most of that. Well that's the magic of FPL isn't it, it's unpredictable. It's been a very volatile season and right now you'll probably get more points from following team news obsessively than from following form obsessively. Over the season the hardcore players will win, just by not as much.

Exactly what I had in mind (get the extra 0.1, which will net me 0.1)

Looks like I'm now gonna play the WC earlier than intended. Which means I made the wrong transfer (McClean) for this GW, should have got someone stronger in just for one match.

Cup exit may beckon when Rooney gets the BAPs and Bale doesn't

Its not because it was a straight red. If you're the last man back and you deny a goalscoring opprtunity and get sent off, thats only a 1 match ban. But in Yakubu's case, it was a dangerous tackle, so that is a 3 match ban.

Actually considering Lampard for my gw23/24 WC team.. sounds crazy right?

At the moment I'm settled on:

    McClean Walters Dempsey Silva

... and with enough money for anyone to fill the last spot. With Spurs/Utd out of my picture, I'm actually starting to think Lamps might be a good (albeit risky) alternative.

    Better suggestions from anyone?

GW23/24 WC Team currently looking like:

    Westwood/Carson Vorm
    Huth Richards Kelly Simpson Caulker
    McClean Walters Dempsey Silva Lampard
    RvP Aguero Sturridge

    1.1m in the bank

i think the 2nd one is most in doubt,
      http://www.101greatgoals.com/g.....-bolton-0/

Assists are awarded to the player from the goal scoring team, who makes the last touch before the goal is scored.

If after this touch, an opposing player touches the ball outside the penalty area altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist is given, except if this intervention directly results in an own goal

Rooney will probably get 1 assist and 1 bonus.

Keepers look bad for next 6/8 wks unless you'll trust QPR for clean sheets - Vorms fixtures are really tough.
Jones and BAE should be short term in my opinion - horrible fixtures coming up after GW 23. Cahill at Chelsea, Hangeland or Shawcross migh be better options for a while.
Two stoke midflelders? You gotta swap Etherington for Sess - stoke don't score near enough goals for that.

How did McClean perform today? Heard he missed a few chances but I was impressed he was picked for an away game against a big team, must be a nailed on starter now.

Although he missed it, it's good to know he is getting forward to miss an open goal he could offer decent returns for a bargain price. Is it the only real chance he had?

on the plus side he's actually getting in positions to have attemps on goal. not bad for a 4.5 player 😀

Not great stats even though he had a great chance to score:

Nani to Valencia and McClean to Sessegnon.

How about Fulham and Stoke for defenders, some good fixtures coming and they rotate well...

BAE for GW 23 then Cahill?

i've found a good way of identifying solid point scorers from now on. they always tend to be my 3rd sub, and perform very consistently.

Thanks to whoever it was that gave me some advice on not using my WC this coming week. Probably gonna take a 4 point hit to get things sorted.

    Current team is-

    Vorm, ruddy
    Enrique, Richards, brown, Simpson, shotton
    Bale, vdv, nani, silva, dyer
    Ade, yak, rvp.

    Thinking if doing

    vdv > sessengnon & yak > bendtner

Big gamble on sunderland, any suggestions?

Sunderland are a new team under MON, but Bendtner is still useless. Get Sess in there though! 😉
