Swansea’s fine 3-2 win over Arsenal concludes the weekend action, leaving tomorrow evening’s clash between Wigan and City as the only unfinished business in the Gameweek. Time then, for us to extract the key statistics from our Members area and make a stab at the destination of the Fantasy Premier League bonus points…

As good as the Fletchamobile is looking, I'm fancying the longetivity of the Morison Miner.
Sublime consistency for 5.2 and allows for the eventual return of Silva (though there is Ba to factor).
Next week I can bench him v Chelsea for one week as it is a one off Sess and Walters week before they rotate.Open Controls-

Don't fancy the Torres tram then?

I'm doing the exact same thing!!! Ive been meaning to have him in my team for a while but him being benched led me to go with sturridge over him this week, which in turn has made me wc!!!
The problem I see with Morison is that I feel like we will be inclined to leave him on bench a lot lolOpen Controls -
Corrigan don't worry about Ba for now, maximise your points with the wc and then worry about Ba when he's back, that's what transfers are for, just make sure you have 2 frees available for when you want to bring him back in.
Open Controls -
Yeah, Norwich are turning into this year's Blackpool. Can't defend to save their lives but have plenty going forward. I've got Morison in on my WC as I think he'll continue to keep scoring as Norwich have plenty in midfield to supply him, like Hoolahan, Surman, Pilks and Johnson.

If you could do a 1 week punt for GW22 of either a defender (budget of 6.0) or striker (budget of 9.9) - who would you pick? Only 1 FT.
Leaning towards Crouch, Helguson, Huth, Zamora, Ruiz or Bellamy. Am trying to find a 1 week replacement for Ade or Jags - neither fit in my WC plans.
Thanks for your help!Open Controls -
thoughts on Cahill at chelsea? anyone reckon he'll start of Luiz (until terry is suspened)?
Open Controls-
he'll probably start ahead of luiz of bosingwa. i'm praying he does because i got him in.
Open Controls -
avb hastalked him up but who knows
Open Controls -
Not sure about him at all, good value if he plays consistently but not sure if they will ditch Luiz, as bad as he is, are they going to leave a £20m player on the bench?
Think ill stay clear for nowOpen Controls-
they left a 50m player on the bench
Open Controls-
Very true, but Torres seems like he could hit some form now.
My point is you never know what AVB is gonna do, too unpredictable for me so im staying away from Chelsea defenders.Open Controls-
totally agree, its total guess work with him, unless you're willing to pay the 7m odd for cole/terry

Wildcard team.
Mignolet Krul
Simpson J.Evans Senderos Enrique Young
Dempsey Valencia Mata Bale Surman
Bendtner RVP Aguero
2.0m left over, to upgrade bendy to ba when hes back for his lovely fixtures from GW26
Thinking of captaining Bendtner this week, madness? I tripled up on newc defenders and it worked out pretty well this week 😀Open Controls-
i'll probably end up captaning sess but bendtner is madness.
Open Controls -
is that luke young?
Open Controls -
would young to brown sound good? do you see qpr cs's? could use the .3 (ithink) to upgrade surman maybe?
Open Controls -
Dont like Bendtner at all, rest of the team is good.

Rooney,RVP,Aguero. Thoughts on having them 3 as your strikerforce?

i think someone on the last page had this & a good midfield also, have a look back

How do you guys think given will do in the next few gws i took Krul out and put him in with
Wildcard n I can't stop regretting itOpen Controls-
do what you can to reverse it. I have had him from start and have no faith in him. I am playing vorm vs sunderland and chelsea instead of given vs wolves and qpr.

Are you still keeping the faith in Rooney Jafalad?
Open Controls-
Good question, Duffman.
I have two frees with the w/c in wk 24. So, I'm looking at who has the best fixtures for 22 and 23.
I want to bring in Sess for Dyer or Moses and change Ade.
Problem is, it costs too much to get Ade back in again on the w/c. Roo wouldn't lose me anything but he has leaky Arse this week.
A dilemna. The cheap fwd options are not helping tbh. Any ideas?Open Controls-
I'm actually thinking about getting Rooney in on my wildcard. I think he's on the verge of a big score, he was the most influential forward in the league this week. And as you say he plays a weakened Arsenal defence this week. I'd sell Adebayor if I was you. He's too inconsistent and our fixtures are terrible for a while. Look at maybe Fletcher or Zamora for a 2 week punt?
Open Controls-
Yes and he tends to score in these big games doesn't he? On saying that though, I've been waiting for a very big score from him for quite some time 🙁
Yes, Zamora intrigues me. Fletcher less so as it's The Wanderers. Crouch too if he didn't have Man U in 23.Open Controls

-
-
-
I'm hoping he ends up with 0 points, just to see the resulting carnage around here.
Open Controls-
Would be very amusing.
Open Controls
-
-
I'm confident that both will be removed.
Open Controls -
It's absolutely ridiculous. People having to freeze-frame and check the video, send emails etc to try and see if they can get points taken off other players. In both cases Rooney clearly assisted the goals. To suggest that Wellbeck deserves the assist points over Rooney for the first goal in particular is lame. If the evidence is so inconclusive (and it is), the points have already been given to the player who actually most directly influenced the goal, just let it go. As should have happened with the RVP one earlier in the year.
Open Controls-
I don't think it was a 'clear' assist for both, thus the discussions here.
Open Controls -
Without clicking on your link I knew who your captain was.
Open Controls-
It's almost a moot point because it can't be denied exactly the reverse situation happens with people of the opposite viewpoint. Not really worth taking a position on this.
Open Controls -
Yeah, I have a vested interest in them staying. But the point is, he directly influenced the goals, and the points are already with him. I'm not trying to chase up points for some 'slight tickle' he may have got on someone else's pass...
Open Controls-
But if, in a future game, he was to get a 'slight tickle' he would get an assist according to the rules. I know it's frustrating but the rule has to be clear otherwise there are a whole load of situations where assists would be debated.
Open Controls-
And I'd accept it gladly 😉 But I wouldn't send emails to FPL Towers asking them to review it or get upset if it wasn't given. These undeserved assist points to slight touches that have no direct influence on the goals are a flaw in the rules and a detriment on an otherwise great game.

Tere has been a lot of what can fairly be deemed petty behaviour in both sides, yes. Not going to get drawn on which way it's gonna go but am fairly confident inside about it.
Open Controls -
I agree, we have to go with the clear evidence. I think the problem here is that both incidents are relatively unclear who actually touches the ball.
I'm confident the first one will stand as I don't see where Welbeck actually touches the ball.
The second one looks to be from Wheater's right boot. The problem here though is that it is unclear if Rooney's left foot gets a touch/Wheater is outside the box.
If there's this degree of doubt, then I can see him keeping both assists, imo. 😕Open Controls -
I think you are on the wrong forum...
Open Controls-
-
Yea gotta agree with Part Time Pete on this one
Open Controls
-
-
-
The most frustrating part of the whole situation is that common sense can't be brought into this ... as was the case with gervinho's "accidental feather" on RVP's assist earlier in the season. The point is that players should be awarded points for creating a goal-scoring opportunity ... if someone accidentally gets a feather on a pass (as was the case in both scenarios) then they have had no influence on the goal-scoring opportunity and common sense should let the original passer take the points. Regardless of whether people have or do not have Rooney, he was the player who set the goals up and should receive points. Rules are rules, but most ppl on this site have not enjoyed the rules this year, BAPS and assists, etc. There was never this much anti-banter last year when the guy in the stands made the calls? Time to provide some feedback to our Fantasy Scout Rep to take back to the EPL Fantasy organisers and present some options for improving the system.
Open Controls-
Well said DD. I bet some of the people that have been complaining about some of the annoying rules this year are the same ones now wanting those dodgy rules applied in the Rooney situation just to see other players lose points. Common sense certainly needs to be added to these rules.
Open Controls-
Ultimately I think that I should be awarded executive decision-making powers, I believe I'd make a good (and corruptable) dictator ... with Rooney as captain of course.
Open Controls -
And on your side with this one PTP ... cheers mate
Open Controls-
Thanks mate. The other thing that surprises me with this is that Rooney's score hasn't really hurt anyone that doesn't have him. Bale got 5, RVP 6, Nani 3, Ageuro still to play etc. Rooney missing the penalty (and probably with it the chance of any bonus points) has already saved them from losing any significant ground to people who had him, but that's not enough, they want him to be stripped of more points, despite knowing deep down he deserves them for setting up the goals. Poor form imo...

Nani--Silva--Walters--Sessegnon--Sinclair
RVP--Aguero--Fletcher
Bank:£1.4mOpen Controls-
Tah guys. Using the £1.4 to get Ba in.
Open Controls-
spend the 1.4 million, maximise your points now, you can worry about Ba when he's back by downgrading elsewhere, that's what transfers are for, just make sure you have 2 frees, I'd lose Sinclair to a 4.5ish mid as who will you bench out of that front 8 and upgrade Caulker to Skrtel

Guys!
have 5.4m,which player is better for 5th mid
wanna bring in Surman, but already have Morrison.Should i take 2nd Norwich coverage?Open Controls-

Ok my front 8 as it stands
Bale, Silva, Nani, Donovan, Tiote
Odem, RvP, Sturridge
Have 0.9 in the bank
Should I make a transfer or save it and take 2 1 week punts next week before wc
Don't see the point in taking Tiote out as whoever I get will only be on bench, could lose Landon but he is at home to Rovers. Was planning a 1 week Henry punt away at Bolton in 2 weeks, so do do with keeping ThingyOpen Controls-
JK...I would do Donovan to Sessegnon....Everton are simply pants
Open Controls-
but so are Rovers....
Open Controls-
lol yet we beat you at Old Trafford with a load of kids. Funny that.
Open Controls-
It was a good performance by Rovers, a poor performance by United, square pegs in round holes or not, and I must admit you have looked much better in recent weeks, still can't keep a clean sheet though.
Open Controls-
ahhh who needs clean sheets when you can score 3 goals!!!
Open Controls-
thing is a better attack than Fulham's would probably have scored more, you can't keep conceding chances, eventually you will get punished. That being said I still think you'll stay up, there are 3 worse teams in the league right now.
Open Controls-
Yeah i was joking, i know you can't score 3/4 goals to win every week! But to be fair we've been playing Samba and a load of kids recently, and we didn't even have BIG Chris on Saturday. Will be nice to get some defenders out the treatment room. Givet and Olsson back now, just need Dann and Nelsen back now. When everyone fit out defence (on paper at least) is better than a lot of teams in the bottom half

I stand by what I said about your defence, would still get Fletcher or Morison ahead of Sturridge and lose on the Newc boys or Brown.
Right I've done you, now you can answer my question above.Open Controls

I've seen Valencia on a few people's benches for next week. The reason I wouldn't is that he is up against a very inexperienced left back in Ignasi Miquel who got owned by Nathan Dyer.

Yep looks pretty good now you have a defence 😆
Open Controls -
Looks good apart from BAE...I just don't like Spurs fixtures....can you downgrade him and upgrade Sess or Walters to Dempsey or Valencia?
Open Controls-
yep , could be a plan , although im thinking BAE always an assist chance , especially now Bale playing more in the middle , plus i only paid 5 for him so kind of reluctant to move him on

Who are people captaining next week
Aguero or Walters by the looks of itOpen Controls -
Welbeck definitely got a touch for utd's 1st goal the ball deviates. wheater gets a touch for the 3rd but maybe rooney also not sure

Odemwingie (A) Newcastile
Mc Clean (H) to Swansea
Want to play McClean but don't want to bench Odem either but which would you play?
Other bench options include bale (A) man City or Valencia (A) Arsenal but think its between Odem and Mc Clean..Open Controls-
I thought Odem is away to Stoke... Either way, I'll still play McClean given home advantage

How do people rate Richards now at his price? Is it worth thinking of Terry as part of WC also?
