Swansea’s fine 3-2 win over Arsenal concludes the weekend action, leaving tomorrow evening’s clash between Wigan and City as the only unfinished business in the Gameweek. Time then, for us to extract the key statistics from our Members area and make a stab at the destination of the Fantasy Premier League bonus points…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Spent all week trying to decide between Ben Arfa and Cabaye-went with Cabaye and thought I'd got it right when I saw hba benched-
Of course he gets injured after 20mins...with hba on instead

If it's any consolation, his injury didn't look bad. The challenge slid into the side of his foot, there was no twist or extension so fingers crossed just bruising.

I presume this has been done to deathtoday, so what is the overall consensus for a Yakubu replacement?

    Morison or Fletcher?

Anybody care to look at my team and give me your opinion as to whether this is a good WC week for me? My plan was to do it this week but now am not sure. I have the funds to do an Ade to Aguero xfer.

Upgrade Moreira for sure to someone who actually plays. Go with a GK rotation. See http://premierleaguefantasy.blogspot.com/p/strength-of-schedule.html for team combinations for goals allowed .. I use Krul and Vorm myself. But with their prices higher now, might want to look at Schwarzer once he returns. Downgrade Walters or Ses to help with that.. possibly replacing with Moses for example or Dyer if you believe todays results were no fluke. Clichy is a rotation risk and therefore a terrible pick. Look to Kompany or Richards since even Kompany only misses one more EPL game.

    Santon, Shotton, Richards

    Ruddy, H Benarfa, Evans, BAE

Rooney debate resolved finally. I just got e-mail from FPL.

    Dear Daniel,

We thank you for the interest in that game and the assists given to Rooney.

Assists are awarded to the player from the goal scoring team, who makes the last touch before the goal is scored.

If after this touch, an opposing player touches the ball outside the penalty area altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist is given, except if this intervention directly results in an own goal.

The FPL committee had a meeting and reviewed both of the assists and made the following decision:

Both of the assists are gonna go to Gervinho in Monday morning. From previous experience we saw that this is best practice.

    Regards,
    FPL

Hopefully they give him 3 BP's and then take both assists away which reduces his PPI so significantly he get's no bonus just to wind everyone up. 😈

Just played my wildcard....here is my team:

    Vorm Sorensen

    BAE Enrique Cahill Shotton Caulker

    Valencia Bale Silva Nani McClean

    RVP Aguero Sturridge

The changes decimated my team value to £108.9m (mainly from selling Ade & Jones) but do I have enough to finally break top 1k? Been hovering around 5k for a few weeks now.

Stop worrying about your bank balance and start spending it. Look at Vorm's fixtures... he's not going to get you a clean sheet each week. Swansea had great home fixtures in the first half of the season.. they're now away games in the second.

Which team do you think has the best defence? Id say Citeh are probably up there... how about Hart or Lescott or Richards.

Make some moves to give you the edge. You're not losing money by selling the players that have risen. You're cashing in the profit.

I'm on wc so could use your wisdom for couple of things, correct me if I wrong

    a) Enrigue must go - only one goodish home game before gw30 - ShawX better choice.
    b) Nani must go - He or Valencia can back to my time in gw28 if they can behave - Dempsey better choice.

    Are you with me?

Yeah, that was all set before this weeks cleanie. Now I just might keep him and take Richards also, then rotate simpson & senderos.
Your thoughts on R.Taylor - is he worth his price? Can't / Don't want to get all three of Krul, Raylor and Simpson.

      a) It depends when you bought him. If you got him around the 5.3 mark then I would say he is tremendous value... If you got him recently then Huth or ShawX MIGHT be better value but I would still back Enrique to outscore them
      b) Valencia is probably a better shout than Nani. Valencia is more consistent but Nani could explode at any moment... It's your decision

    Drum roll please.......................

    Sorensen, Lindegaard

    Richards, Enrique, Raylor, Kelly, DeLaet

Nani(not giving up), Silva, Bale, Sessegnon, McClean

    RVP, Aguero, Sturridge

9 players among season long points per game leaders at their positions who play virtually every game--

    Richards(4.4), Enrique(3.9), Raylor(4.3), Nani(5.6), Silva(5.8), Bale(6.1), RVP(7.3), Aguero(6.4), Sturridge(5.6)--

will now play virtually every week along with Sessegnon(4.5) who has form and fixtures with him, and his PPG is only a tick behind the likes of Mata(4.6), and even with Dempsey and Valencia(4.5).

Lindegaard and sorensen rotate well for a while, and sorensen will be adequate should the lindegaard experiment fail. Gets my hands on stoke's home games and hopefully united CS.

    Kelly--adequate defender sub, occasional starter
    McClean--adequate attacking sub
De Laet--helps make this all possible..

a piece of city, pool and united defense. attacking coverage for utd, chelsea, tottenham, arsenal and double coverage for city who has the best fixtures of the bunch.

what am i leaving out? besides a page break.

Raylor is getting too many assists for me to ignore him anymore tbh. It's just that his position in the team looks uncertain to me with so much competition in mid and Tiote set to return from ACN and cause a midfeld reshuffle.

Since it's a WC I would personally go with Santon (who's also looking like an attacking fullback) or Williamson for safety - but Raylor could hit big.
