Two finishes of the highest quality finally rolled over the Rovers resistance at Ewood and saw United defy Roberto Mancini’s prediction to open up a five point gap at the top. Here’s the key stats from United’s 2-0 win, along with our prediction of where the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) bonus points could be heading…
Dempsey to Siggy this week a good move?
Open ControlsSilva and Walters to Valencia and Yaya
OR
Silva and Kelly to Valencia and Cahill??????Open ControlsThanks for result earlier United, I have 100 on City to win league but priorities first. United are in for a rude awakening Sunday, Taarbat v Rafael = goals
Open ControlsTaarabt is sh*t. Arsenal's dodgy defence made him seem world class.
Open ControlsYa whatever, class act. How come Suarez and Andy Carroll couldn't do the same agaisnt Arsenal couple weeks back?
Open ControlsSuarez did torment the Arsenal defence to be honest. Carroll is sh*tter than sh*t.
Open Controls
Taarabt is a class act. Good to see him finally getting a chance after being abandoned by Warnock after getting QPR up.
Open ControlsHonestly if Arsenal would have played him the way everyone else in the league knows to play him he would have continued the sh*t run. Acres of space between Walcott and Gibbs, Song pulled out on a sucker's mission on Barton, Ramsey not able to track-back...because he's generally useless, a man w/o a position literally (left wing...I think NOT). Rafael will terrorize Taarabt. I could see, if continued, the QPR pressure on creative passers being a problem. Diakite may definitely be a problem for United.
Open ControlsAcres of space between Walcott and Sagna*
Open ControlsRecently he's looked more and more of a threat (not just talking about the Arsenal game). He's a confidence player and Warnock destroyed his confidence when he took away the captaincy for no reason except to sign Barton. Hughes is slowly re-building it.
There's no doubt he's a luxury player and that he can be a waste of space at times but he's still got the potential to be a great player.Open ControlsWhen he's confident he's busy, he gained momentum and at a point, a refocus of closing him down made no difference. Hopefully SAF doesn't pull out the Matrix (Ji-Sung Park) on him or Valencia (I own him) to hawk him. I somehow think a Jamie Mackie could cause United problems as they don't play a high enough line to prevent the post-ups that Newcastle inflicted on them. I'm sure Hughes will be all over the Newcastle Jan.4th script.
Open Controls
Andy Carroll has apologised to Dalglish for walking straight down the tunnel after being subbed off at Newcastle on Sunday.
He said he was aiming for the bench.Open ControlsTeam at the moment for GW32 (2 free transfers & 0.6m in the bank):
Vorm(NEW)
Enrique(AVL) Vermaelen(MCI) Evans(QPR)
McClean(TOT) Dempsey(bol) Bale(sun) Valencia(QPR)
Rooney(QPR) Van Persie(MCI) Suarez(AVL)
subs - Krul, Simpson, Kelly, Pilkington
Can't see all that much i want to change. Pilkington > Sigurdsson is the most obvious move i think but then who should i drop to play Siggy? One of McClean, Dempsey or Suarez i guess?
Or perhaps dump Simpson instead (seeing as i already have Krul) but then it feels like i've put off getting Siggy long enough already!Open ControlsGlad to see someone else left with Suarez 🙂 You are confident in keeping him SD?
Open ControlsNot really. I think i've put a bit too much trust in Liverpool of late but who would you get in for Suarez if you were to sell? Cisse would have to be near the top of the list on current form but a trip to Swansea and a missing GW34 are hardly that attractive.
Open ControlsI'm not going to get Cisse as my biggest rival has him and that has pretty much made me hate Cisse 🙂 Really not sure I want to sell him, but Liverpool are really struggling to create chances atm. Adebayor would be the natural choice imo. But not sure I want to do it this week. I fear looking like an idiot if Suarez scores vs. Villa.
Open ControlsYeah Adebayor as well although he also has the missing GW problem. Plus i also don't particularly fancy him to outscore Cisse in GWs32 & 33.
I suspect i'll end up keeping Suarez, he's bound to score against us anyway ðŸ™Open Controls
I'd sit McClean if you get Siggster.
And your boys played one helluva game today.Open ControlsIt felt inevitable. We gave it 100% and tbh i'd be happy with 3 points from 2 games with United ANY season 🙂
Open ControlsCan't believe you're in that position in the table. 'Burn are far better than 5, 6 other teams, imo.
Your lads gave me heartburn, high blood pressure, and killed my buzz for ~80 minutes. A really gritty performance ... they seem to be fighting for the club and their manager.Open ControlsI hope you're proved right come May! All massive games for us now, none more so than West Brom on Saturday. Gotta go there and play for the win
Open Controls
They gave it the try, and missed a couple of big opportunities to find Hoilett in the middle channel. They looked hungry.
Open Controls
Yes, do your transfer imo...Although I'm not sure how much Siggy will do against Newcastle....Suarez hasn't been producing, why should he start now? lol. I'd drop Suarez and play the Sigmeister if you really really really wanna play Sig.
Open ControlsYou are probably right but i just can't bring myself to drop a striker. Especially one at home to a woeful Villa side no matter how badly Liverpool have been playing! It's sell him or start him i think!
Open ControlsI think there will be goals vs Villa. I'm fighting the urge to do Suarez to Torres, as I feel that was a last chance saloon-type performance from Carroll. Kuyt I think will bring opportunity and quickness. I may have to dump Gerrard for sure.
Open Controls
How do you always manage to have 2 free transfers?
Pilkington to Siggy is the best move you can do. Bench McLean also. Get rid of Simpson the week after.Open ControlsI don't really do a lot of transfers, only 29 so far this season. Plus a bit of forward thinking (©Applebonkers) helps!
Open Controls
so, Young --> Valencia for 4pt hit is worth it for next GW ?
Open ControlsNope.
Open Controls
What do ya think of my transfer plan.
Team currently (capped for non GW34)
Vorm, SCWARZER
Evans, Kompany, Vermaelen, KELLY, SIMPSON
Gylfi, Valencia, McClean, BALE, DEMPSEY
Rvp, Rooney, SUAREZ
Gw32 No transfer
Gw33 Schwarzer -> Given (still play Vorm that week)
Gw34 Kelly & Suarez -> Bendtner & City/Sund defender
Gw35 Get one Bolton or Villa player
Gw36 WildcardOpen ControlsTeam for GW32 look ite? Have I got starting XI and captaincy 'right'?
Bogdan
Caulker | Evans | Enrique
Siggy | Valencia | Walcott | Bale
Cisse | Rooney(c) | RVPOpen ControlsHmm thinking of a radical team change for a 16 point hit:
Assou-Ekotto, Caulker, Ben Arfa, Walcott, Adebayor for R Taylor, Enrique, Demps, McClean, Suarez.
What shall you say?Open ControlsDude....16 pts? ....nawwww
Open ControlsIs it 'Ivan the Terrible'? 🙂
I honestly think it's nutty. Do the defenders, save the rest.Open ControlsMy Pool player are terrible + Ben Arfa and Walcott seem to be in the form of their lives.
In the last group stage round in the CL when all the good teams were fielding reserve players i did transfers for a 28 point hit and managed around 90 points. Sometimes it works.Open Controls
Next week's captaincy could be a good time to go different as plenty will go Rooney.
Although he does seem to play further forward in home games.Open ControlsThought about it myself but United are just too strong at home
Open Controlsall about crouchie next week 😉
Open Controls
any suggestions
i currently have a serious issue, i have Young as my ManU support but he keeps getting bench am wounder if Fergy will keep rotating him and why isn’t young starting moreOpen ControlsStick. SAF was resting Young today. He'll surely start next game.
Open Controls
Anyone guaranteed to go through to the 3rd Round of the FPL Open?
Open ControlsI believe so.
'Cantona's Crew'Open ControlsNo 😡
Stupid Senderos..Open ControlsPoor JOA. A sub appearance would have meant winning on seeding. ðŸ™
Open ControlsHard luck JOA. If it's any consolation I had Simpson starting all week. Benched him for Senderos at the last minute as was unsure about doubling up. Tough to go out with that score.
Open Controls
Well done.
Here is your next rival.

Me too. Any idea what the cut off for the Elite 63 is going to be? I've a feeling I'm going to miss out.
Open Controls
Hey what the hell? I just saw someone was copying my name/Grav yesterday???
Open ControlsStop lying, u were acting the jerk and now u feel guilty 😉
Open ControlsNo no serious, I was just looking through the older posts and say me saying stuff haha, I'm trying to find what 'I' originally said
Open Controls
Got a link? The admins may know who. 😉

That one makes me immediately think it was that Willis_hyde fellaOpen ControlsHopefully the admins can ban the person. Definitely not you by the style of writing.
Open ControlsYou mean the one where you say you're willis hyde? And why might one go through the trouble to impersonate another, only to announce their 'real' persona?
This is a really sad little game.Open ControlsNo, I wasn't online during that whole thing.
I'm sure Mark will be able to clear it up in the morning.Open ControlsActually, once my current gravatar changes, you'll be able to see.
Open ControlsOkay, now my Grav has changed, check those older links if you please, it isn't me
Open ControlsI see that one account's grav has changed ... yup.
If, in fact, this wasn't you, then I would send an e-mail to the Scouts with some of the links to the posts that aren't yours so that they might track them down.Open ControlsI've sent Mark one now but it won't be of use for another few hours at least.
Open Controlsthis above comment isnt mine. he's back here again. what a sad loser!
Open ControlsGreat...
Open Controls
Interesting, been waking at early hours lately but it wasn't me.

Top of my League
WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 🙂Open ControlsGood evening Lads and Ladies
Is Rafael nailed?Open ControlsHis understanding with Valencia on the right is getting better and better each week, and i reckon he should start next week too based on the last 2 games. But he's not really worth the risk when you can get a nailed on Evans instead.
Open ControlsI've problem with my ManU players. I've Evans, Valencia and Rooney. My rival has de Gea, Young and Evra.
He keeps getting extra points for CS's week in week out.
I'd really like two ManU defs and probably ditching Roo.Open ControlsKeep him till atleast GW 36, and ditch then if you want. Pretty confident that he'll be able to help you wipe out your rivals points for the extra clean sheet. Also when Nani comes back, it could be less points for Young. Stick with your trio, it's the right way to go.

So I have 8 dgw and 10 players to play for gw34.Open ControlsDropping RVP with Wolves and Wigan to come?!?!
I can predict the moaning from you in a few weeks time when RVP grabs a few against those sh*t heap teams.
RVP was never going to score in every game.
So many knee jerkers on here.Open Controls
baps predictions for the utd game cheers
Open Controlshi!
i know it's a little early to be tinkering with my team, but I just want to know what you guys think will be my best starting XI. so far, i have it as so:
schwarzer
evans, cahill, caulker
valencia, walcott, bale, dempsey
rvp, rooney, cisse
bench: vorm, sig, kelly, king
i want to play sig for this gw, but i have no idea who to drop. also, am i right in playing schwarzer in front of vorm, since vorm as an in form newcastle (even though they are home).
any advice is appreciated! thx guysOpen Controlsplace us in order two get in:
A debayor
B en Arfa
C isse
Out:
A nthony Pilks
B a
C errard (Damn, this worked so well for first 5)Open ControlsCurrently:
Vorm, Schwarzer
Evans, Caulker, Skrtel, Simpson, Kelly
Bale, Dempsey, Valencia, Sigs, McClean
RVp, Rooney, Suarez
I have 2 FTs and £2.4 in the bank, and want to field 10/11 in GW34, I only have 8 currently, and am planning Dempsey to Walcott after this week, and want Kelly out this week, along either Simpson or Skrtel at some point.
Any thoughts on Skrtel to Verm/Kaboul, Kelly to Bardsley/Turner?Open ControlsDempsey > Walcott - planning the same transfer for next week.
Can you get some ManCity DEF cover with the Kelly transfer?Open ControlsI could afford it, but I'm not sure I want to while City are choking. With the Kompany/Lescott partnership back they might be a bit more solid, but 3 conceded at home to Sunderland with Komps playing puts me off.
Open ControlsI would say only that one change with Kelly (although, playing Bolton... worth keeping?)
Reckon that your side is pretty spot on for the upcoming GW
Perhaps a Suarez move-on then, if you really had a itchy transfer trigger finger?Open ControlsYeah, I mean this week I can play:
Vorm
Evans, Caulker, Skrtel
Valencia, Dempsey, Sigs, Bale
RVP, Rooney, Suarez
(Schwarzer, McClean, Kelly, Simpson)
I will probably not double up on swans considering Papiss' form, and play Kelly, and I guess if I'm benching Simpson I could move him onfor Kaboul, sideways in terms of GW34 players, but a good DGW prospect
Cheers for the advice, you've helped me get my thinking organised 😛Open Controls
Lads,
Ba > Torres worth a differential punt this GW?
Vorm Krul
Enrique Evans Cahill Caulker Simpson
Sigurdsson Bale Valencia Dempsey McLean
Rooney RVP Ba
3.0m cash, 1 FT
Thoughts appreciateOpen ControlsI like it ... Do it
Open Controls
Sell Dempsey for Sessegnon as Demp usually do nothing much in away game or keep him for a game with Bolton? It's Bolton and there could be goals. But this game ended 0-0 three times in last 4 seasons.
Open ControlsI would keep demps against Bolton
Open ControlsThe thing is if I keep Clint this week I'll want him for the Chelsea game and then I'll want him for the Wigan game and so on and so forth. But I'm convinced Sess will score well and he has a game in GW34. Can't decide.
I could do Davies to Sess but then I'd have no money in the bank and I'd have no idea who to bench this week.Open Controls
Do I need to make tranfers for next week ? I think I should keep same team n save transfer ... Need advice 🙂 need to maintain a 70 point lead
Schwarzer
Caulker Evans Cahill
Valencia sig bale Dempsey
Suarez Rooney RVPOpen ControlsI'd say no transfers required this week. Liverpool's recent shortcomings may mean it could be better to move Suarez on... but don't think that its necessary if you're maintaining a lead
Open Controls
What is going on with Cahill? Is he first choice with Terry? We'll see who starts vs Benfica maybe.. If Luiz starts, Cahill should start vs. Wigan. Right? 😕
Open ControlsWho knows. People expected him to start last match and he didn't, wouldn't risk it just yet.
Open Controls
Morning.
Thinking of dropping Enrique for Gibbs.
Worth doing?
Will Gibbs place be cemented?Open ControlsI love how you say that like Man City are an unstoppable force, especially away from home.
Thinking long term.Open ControlsI would wait one more week then. Can't see Gunners keeping a CS in this one..
Open ControlsI'll be honest - if I brought him in I doubt I'd play him.
May be worth holding off. Cheers.Open ControlsHehe 🙂 I can just see City attacking with everything they got. They need at least one point imo
Open ControlsOh, they need three points alright.
I wouldn't bet they get them.
Next week, I place my distaste for all things Arse in a box and place it on a shelf for the match. Let Wenger & Co. do God's work.Open Controls
What is this shisha stuff Chamakh and Taarabt are smoking?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2124200/Marouane-Chamakh-pictured-shisha-pipe.html?ITO=1490Open ControlsFlavoured tobacco. Daily Mail is such an over-dramatising joke of a 'news' site.
Open ControlsYa thought it was a non story, cheers lads. Non-strory with that rag as usual I guess
Open Controls
It is flavoured tobacco. Popular in arabic culture. Thier shisha cafes are places of social gathering and can be thought of as equivalents to pubs.
Basically it is a non story this, I am sure some footballers smoke cigs and a story is not made about it.Open ControlsThe Mail going on like they were in a crack den!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzOpen Controls
Is anyone concerned about the value in Chelsea's DGW. They have a lot of fixtures and RDM has already stated there will be rotation. Also if the FA cup game ends in a draw (very possible) then that will cause another blank gameweek and another DGW which could throw out a few carefully made plans. Chelsea players could be a nightmare till the end of the season. So should they be avoided?
Chelsea's fixtures
4th Benfica (CL)
7th Wigan (32)
9th Fulham (33)
15th Spurs (FA cup)
18th CL semi L1
21st Arsenal (35)
25th CL semi L2
29th QPR (36)
2nd Newcastle (36)
5th FA cup final?
6th Liverpool (37)
13th Blackburn (38)Open ControlsPretty sure FA Cup semis go to extra-time and penalties now. But yeah it is a potential minefield. Cole, Terry, Cech and perhaps Mata are the only real options imo.
