Carlos Tevez takes the title race and the Gameweek by the scruff of the neck with a stunning display in City’s merciless mauling of Norwich. United duly picked up the gauntlet, however, with a four-goal drubbing of Villa this afternoon.

Our Members can lose themselves in the statistics from all of the Gameweek’s matches so far – here’s our pick of the key numbers, together with our thoughts on the destination of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) bonus points…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Hi Guys,

Just bit the bullet and did McClean + Bardsley -> Bale + Jagielka, leaves me with these two, cisse, ream and Demps for DGW, Thoughts?

Long term or just this week?

Long term I'd maybe prefer to have RVP, Ade and Tevez.
This week Aguero, Tevez and Cisse.

For someone who was claiming that patience was the key a few days ago you seem very quick to write off the 2 top scoring players in the game. One has just picked up yet another double figure point haul and the other is the best player in the game and hasn't even played yet this week!

                17 points v Wolves.

True VdV has bigger potential, but no form. Can't get HBA as I will have 3 Newcastle.

Wolves (home, 17 points) and Utd (home, 13 points - ugh - ) are his only two over 10 points.

Scored 10 vs. Arse & Wigan (both home).

But I just think Chels is way too fluid right now, both in starting XIs and in performances.

am taking a hot tp get Tevez and Dempsey in (along with Krul) so yeah go for it.

De Gea, Sess and Rooney to Krul, Dempsey and Tevez/Aguero for me

      The -8 in DGW

Koiarov, McClean and Tevez to Baines, Mata/VdV and Jelavic

Was gonna shift Rooney to Jelavic in 36 in an 8 pointer anyway, so it's a 4 point hit to get one of them, I think either one could outscore Rooney by 4.

If you have something to play for, yes. If you already had a solid plan, and don't have anything to risk, I would follow my plan. There are new stars for each gameweek, seldom the same as the previous gameweek. Try figure out who will be the next surprises - like Tevez this week - if you want to risk it.

By keeping Bale (like myself) we have sown the seeds for a strategy which cannot be undone now. You MUST keep him for the DGW.

I had to resist the charms of Walcott by keeping Dempsey and Bale and have suffered a little (may suffer a bit more tomorrow night). Now is not the time to shed Bale, if anything you must give him the chance to readdress the balance.

      My view anyway.

I'd seriously consider BArfa instead of Sess, Bale instead of Valencia. Newcastle still has something to fight for as opposed to Sunderland. Both Tottenham and Manu has something to fight for, but Tottenham has double fixtures, and Bale HAS been looking dangerous even though he has been unlucky with the point return. If I could have any midfield from now to after GW36, it would be: Walcott, Siggy, Dempsey, Bale, Barfa. Outsiders: Valencia / Pienaar (gw36 only).

That's really disappointing ... as I'd like him to get a raging case of diarrhea in the 5th minute.

Nothing serious, just an extended stay in the changing room until week 35.

      Who?, me?, (C) Rooney? Nope.

Grateful for advice on what to do with 2 FTs this week, really struggling to come up with anything:

    Schwarzer Mignolet
    Sagna Evans Shawcross Caulker McAuley
    Walcott Bale Valencia Siggy McClean
    RVP Rooney Ade

Thinking about Dempsey for Valencia but I'd have to downgrade Sagna to make it possible. Don't fancy City strikers or Newcastle players due to rotation and fixtures.

You never know whos going to start with City and Newcastles last 3 fixtures are the worst in the league. Would be using another transfer to get them out before the end of the season. And Arsenal/Utd are up there with the most in form teams too.

I just don't want to change my plan from before City's game vs Norwich to get in attacking cover for their game vs Wolves. See it as wasting a transfer because i wanted to use the transfer to plan my DGW team. Apart from this GW, i wouldn't care if i had either Tevez/Aguero for the remaining fixtures.
The way i'm thinking is that City will probably smash 4/5 past Wolves with Aguero/Tevez/Nasri/Silva/AJ all sharing the spoils. The player who i'd be getting rid of in this instance would be Rooney who could easily get a brace in a 2-0 United win over Everton. So i'm thinking to myself that i wont miss out on much by Keeping Rooney over the City forwards, and i could use my transfer instead for Dempsey and other DGW players, to hopefully make up for any points lost by keeping Rooney over Tevez/Aguero which i think would be minimal

      ....think that makes sense

It does, but Tevez + Aguero could easily hog the goals like we saw at Norwich.. But what you said holds good as well.

More importantly I want to avoid the extra hit business for the DGW. More reason for me to stay clear.

Yeah, that's the major part I'm hating. I had my transfer plans leading up to the DGW pretty much sorted and now this has come along I'm thinking twice about everything.

Worry is that Rooney has seemed to have fared well against Everton in the past, they're doing well defensively and he doesn't seem in fantastic form, whereas City are and Wolves aren't. Just tough in particular with leading the ML I want to win as it leads to prizes. Can undoubtedly see some of them getting in Aguero/Tevez so I want to cover myself...while equally it could fail and I'm a FT down.

Think I'm going to have to wait and see the match tomorrow and go from there, will be wracking my brains, I feel 🙂

Indeed. It's going to be interesting...Wigan and Arsenal play isn't all too different IMO.

Both teams intrinsic style is off passing and creating/waiting for chances, though it obviously goes without saying Arsenal have a wealth of more talented players, along with the clinical finisher that is RVP over the likes of Moses for us, who, while full of exciting talent, is far off the finished product.

When I watched Wigan against Arsenal at the DW, we weren't on our top form then yet managed to dictate the match for the first 20 minutes...unfortunately we couldn't continue it and the likes of Walcott running up the wing with RVP being ever-so-clinical combined to destroy us.

With the match being at the Emirates I would feel the same link up is going to be made and it could be a comfortable 3-goal difference victory for Arsenal, particularly due to the sometimes lackadaisical defence.

...but I hope we win 😆

Forgot about that... I have a betfair account, will probably do it to soften the blow from not captaining RVP

But if he draws a blank, there won't be a blow.

And if you lay him and he scores a couple, you'll have the double whammy of missing the captaincy and losing the money!

What you want to do is back him to score. Then you win either way 🙂

              Yeah, thanks 😀

odds on him scoring at any time aren't so good though 🙁

I suppose even first goalscorer wouldn't be great odds for that match.

My thoughts are that you should be concentrating on GM 35

I want to do the WC now while having Tevez instead of Adebayor then transferring him for GW36.. That would save me hits..
