As the scrap for survival enters the final four Gameweeks of the season, today’s Members article assesses the top performers from the bottom five sides over each side’s respective last four fixtures. Using our own ICT Index and the Opta stats available, we analyse the top five from each of the relegation candidates, assessing their form and the potential offered ahead of what will prove to be a frantic finish to the 2011/12 Premier League campaign. As luck would have it, this also doubles up as an assessment of those players in form amongst the ranks of Villa and Bolton – those teams with two fixtures in Gameweek 35…

Because you know that city are going to go mental, but you can't decide between tevez and aguero. Hopefully whoever scores, it will be silva who sets them up!! Mrs China Mag got both Silva + Aguero for a free this week!

The actual reason is that I want Bale(c) for the DGW and if I get Silva in for Walcott gw 36, it's a easy switch to bale for gw 37.

        I'm even thinking Silva(c)

Well, he has does sweet FA for ages. I hope Qpr keep him down to 2 pts and he flies below the radar. I don't like the look of Ade at the moment.

Bale(c) for me all the way in 36.

Looking for abit of help, lead ML by 14.

    Vorm Krul
    Shawcross Turner Evans Simpson Verm
    Walcott Valencia Siggy Sess Dempsey
    Rooney RVP Graham

    0.7 in bank, 1 FT

Thinking Rooney to Man City is a lock for my FT.

Thinking I might take a hit or 2 as Sess/Graham are annoying for the last 4 GWs.

    Which option is best?

    a) Sess + Graham > Moses/Petrov + Cisse (-8).
    b) Sess to HBA (-4).
    c) stick to one trade.
    d) something else.

I am good Udit. One trade would be Rooney > Aguero as rival went that way. Differentials in attack would be Adebayor + HBA vs my Graham/Sess + Walcott/Valencia depending on who they bench. Sess is annoying now. Do I want to play him in GW36? After that he's useless.

      Morning pal.

14 is the "magic number" it seems...My lead as well.

TM and a hit or 2 don't go together. Get a Citeh player, stick the armband on him and nothing further.

14 is a terrible lead but better than nothing. I like my rivals team over mine due to Sess/Graham.
Things are getting close in the ML, Either hit or 2 next week or take some now. Pretty sure rival will go Aguero(c) so have to do the same, Silva is so far down the list of options in midfield now imo.

          Hey Chrisy baby.

          Win the SX. Not sure.

I have reduced my dgw player to 7 from 8 as I was crapping them not having a city forward, so lost Rooney foro aguero. Not happy about it though.

Will have 7 dgws but will mean a hit or maybe 2 this week.

Cool man. I dunno, ML rival 14 behind me did a sideways Ba-->Cisse(LOL...it's my older brother). ML 40 behind is sitting tight and will def not sell Cisse/Rooney/Ade.

He has Silva though. I have 5 DGW players at the moment and can't decide if I should get Kun in for Rooney and risk gw 36. Maybe saving the trade and doing 3 trades(-4) next week, giving me 8 DGW's is the best way to go?

              That was my issue.

              I lead ML by 50.

I took hit, probably will be 2 and brough in aguero for Rooney. And then happy with rolling with 7 dgws.

Non dgw players on 36 in a 3-4-3 are... Vorm, Siggy, sess and Rvp.,

Sess, Verm and Graham stick out for me. I'd be wanting to swap these three out for dgw players as you only have 4 as it stands.

How you go about it will have to involve a hit if you want 7 players. Verm for BAE would be my first move. I can see TOT cs and I remember the last TOT dgw.
Ideally-Sess and Graham could be Cisse and Bale/HBA but you won't have the funds.

      Good luck with this!

TAKE TIME TO READ. It's worth reading it. Trust me 🙂

Professor : You are a Christian, aren’t you, son ?

    Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?

    Student : Absolutely, sir.

Professor : Is GOD good ?

    Student : Sure.

Professor: Is GOD all powerful ?

    Student : Yes.

Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn’t. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

    (Student was silent.)

Professor: You can’t answer, can you ? Let’s start again, young fella. Is GOD good?

    Student : Yes.

    Professor: Is satan good ?

    Student : No.

Professor: Where does satan come from ?

    Student : From … GOD …

Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

    Student : Yes.

Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?

    Student : Yes.

Professor: So who created evil ?

    (Student did not answer.)

Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?

    Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, who created them ?

    (Student had no answer.)

Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?

    Student : No, sir.

Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?

    Student : No , sir.

Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?

    Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.

Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?

    Student : Yes.

Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.

Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.

Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

    Professor: Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as cold?

    Professor: Yes.

Student : No, sir. There isn’t.

(The lecture theater became very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?

Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?

Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, well you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?

Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ?

Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.

Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

    (The class was in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?

(The class broke out into laughter. )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.

Student : That is it sir … Exactly ! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving.

    P.S.

I believe you have enjoyed the conversation. And if so, you’ll probably want your friends / colleagues to enjoy the same, won’t you?

Forward this to increase their knowledge … or FAITH.

By the way, that student was EINSTEIN.

    😉

    Cue the tl;dr's.

Yeah, not actually Einstein btw. That was doing the rounds years ago with no mention of Einstein whatsoever. An actual Einsten quote:

"[T]he word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honorable but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish."

      Just saying.

I think the whole point is not whether you can see a brain or not (I'm guessing this quote was waaaay back before we had technology to see brains). I have no idea who the quote was from if it wasn't from Einstein but its a good argument none the less in my opinion. Also Evolution is still just a theory there are many supposed truths but there are just as many holes.

The overall point I think is that science doesn't answer everything. Sometimes you can only have faith.

Evolution is not "just a theory". The everyday word theory is different to that of a scientific theory. The theory of Evolution is the same type of theory as that of Relativity, or Gravity, and not just what some people believe to be true.

Posted this last night, but Rooney has only scored less than a 4 on one occasion this season in home starts (and that was City game).

Well people taking shitty days off like you is part of the reason you get bad pay, as employers have not factor in the costs of the average amount of sick pay being paid per person which reduces the scope for how much your salary can be.

    Of course anything can happen.

Aguero could go off injured after 2 mins or could only score one goal in a 5-0 win.

My point being though Rooney has been massively consistent. Things do change, but only getting less than a 4 all season and that was a game against the best team and where Utd ended up down to 10 men, is pretty impressive.

Penalties have helped Rooney, but it's not the only place he has scored from.

My main point is the consensus seems to be Rooney has to go after 2 good performances from City against West Brom and Norwich, whereas I don't think its that clear cut.

Nobody is saying Rooney has to go because of those 2 previous games, people are getting rid for Aguero or Tevez because Everton are a solid team, Wolves..are far from hat.

Ah yeah you spotted the reply fail (bloody mobile.....)

I've seen a lot of people talking about Rooney being off form this week in fairness and how he has to go, whereas getting rid of RVP would be madness.

I'm keeping both. Fancying the fixtures ahead for both.

          😀 yep
He looks off form, but he has scored something like 8 goals in 5 at home.
I guess it depends on your plan and situation, if you are happy with taking a hit or having one less DGW'er in order to get a City striker, or if you are chasing a rival/target ranking then it is a good option IMO

And I am one of those chasing both a rival and target ranking, I did Rooney > Aguero before Aguero hit form, and did Sess/RVP > Dempsey/Tevez this week. It is a massive gamble but for me, it's time for risks and I fancy Tevez (wol) and Jelavic (FUL/sto) to outscore RVP (CHE/sto)
Then I will just do Cisse > RVP come GW37 for NOR/wba

Any reason for sticking with Walcott over RVP.

I got him in as part of my plan, but now I reckon I might get rid of him for DVD for the DGW.

Not convinced yet though, by a long shot. Think Walcott and RVP is excessive for the next two though (think even the Verm should be classed as attacking coverage aswell, so it's a triple up!)

Yeah it's definitely an option and I have considered myself.

Just think Everton after losing the semi might be deflated, plus Utd have to win and are now coming to pretty much full strength.

I didn't see the Wigan game, but Rooney's passing was off in the Villa game at times with quite a few passes misplaced. He looked annoyed with himself though, so seemed more like an off day rather than lazyness, plus he still managed to score one (penalties don't count with form).

I am scared that I don't have City, but luckily everyone else plays first so if RVP/Rooney do well, then there could be quite a few expectant people on here sweating Sunday afternoon 😀

Man sorry I am taking so long to reply...that is a tough decision to have to make. With everything considered.

Bottom line is you need to get in DGW players cause I feel that you don't have enough. So I would lean towards option a) but I don't fancy either Petrov/Moses personally. can you afford HBA? that would lock out any potential gains your rivals may get.

But that Aguero move does leave you open. He could run riot.

IMHO you have tons of options. But to protest your lead, I'd go for Newcastle players OR take a hit and play it both "safe and risky".

A Roon -> Aguero (protect the lead, sell Sess for plyaer who plays twice week after)
B Roon -> Aguero & Sess -> HBA (protect the lead, and gr8 alternative for Sess)

It's really hard with only 0.7 in the bank to do something else or be much wiser...

Hi Don Corleone, long time no see.

Rooney to Aguero is a no brainer.
Would have 2.0 in the bank.

        A) = Sess or Graham to play.
        B) HBA = protecting lead but leaves no chance for Cisse next week.

Like my rivals team over mine.

True. I also like Cisse better than HBA, but 8pt hit is a bit harsh. If you really fancy Cisse, then Sess+Graham -> Cisse + someone. That could work. Who this someone is... hard.

I've also done Roon -> Aguero to protect the ML lead because rival has Aguero already. Already have Cisse, so will just add 1 or 2 dgw players next week which will include selling McClean.

Thanks Jafalad, agree Sess & Graham are annoying. Graham has Bolton then Wolves but keeping him seems too much of a risk. Verm will probably stay but he could go to get Cisse. Can see some more Arsenal CS with Kosc back.

Not really, no - he didn't sub Aguero at all, and took Tevez off at 5-0
No point being "afraid" at this point, need to take some risks.

Why would Mancini rest his players considering they only have the PL to play for.. Unless its 0-5 or something, he wont take his players off...

          And Cheers, JOA

    Choose two to drop?

Simpson (STO) - Against Stoke (one of the lowest score on the road)
Kompany (wol) - a City captain
Caulker (BOL) - a defender who want to prove he deserve 1st team
Evans (EVE) - Cheap ass defender
Enrique (WBA) - uncertainty to play. Not play in semi FA Cup.

      I just love knee-jerkers.

Rooney will outscore both them this GW.

Gonna be tough for Spurs to keep hold now...

Thanks. To me as long Harry keep his job at Spurs, can't see big player move away unless with record breaking transfer.

The story that I read reckoned they want him to play left back. Would he be happy with that?

I'm sure he would be fine with that, look at Dani Alves for example..
