There’s two tasty fixtures on the bill today, as the Dugout Discussion opens for the second installment of Gameweek two. We start at the Britannia Stadium as Stoke City host Arsenal, and the team news is in…

Stoke XI: Begovic, Wilkinson, Huth, Shawcross, Wilson, Pennant, Cameron, Whelan, Kightly, Walters, Crouch.

Arsenal XI: Mannone, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Diaby, Arteta, Podolski, Cazorla, Gervinho, Giroud.

Having been cleared to play, new signing Geoff Cameron makes his Potters debut in midfield. The visitors are without Wojciech Szczesnydue to a rib injury, so Vito Mannone is between the sticks. There’s a first league start for Olivier Giroud, with Theo Walcott the player making way.

Following that game we move to Anfield, where bottom of the league Liverpool welcome the visit of the Premier League champions Manchester City.

    Opinion please. Any option you feel worth? I'm tempting to take hits for B or C to field 11 on Gw3.

    A: Rooney + Bale -> RvP + Kagawa … -4 pts hit, no Spurs.
    B: Rooney + Torres -> RvP + Ba or Jelavic … Who? -4pts too.
    C: Rooney + Noble + Torres -> RvP + Fellaini + Petric … -8pts!!
    D: Rooney -> Ade or Ba or Jelavic … No hit, but no United though.

    I watched Sterling play for Liverpool on Thursday vs Hearts and he looked a very promising player.

    Priced at 4.5 he could be a quality budget player if he gets a run of games.

      He was at the heart (no pun intended) of everything during that game, seemed like the team had instructions to get it to him and play up that side of the pitch, so Rodgers must have a bit of faith in him. If I could have four strikers I'd consider him but there's too much quality in the mid price range.. could be a good investment if he has a good game today and you're planning on WCing I guess.

      Or just go for it and take a gamble for the differential. 🙂

        agree with this, but dont want RVP as it looked like a very short term transfer- I dont think he is worth 13 mil, so I would not want to keep him past the next 2 fixtures. All of these guys playing at home dough and RVP away.
