There’s two tasty fixtures on the bill today, as the Dugout Discussion opens for the second installment of Gameweek two. We start at the Britannia Stadium as Stoke City host Arsenal, and the team news is in…

Stoke XI: Begovic, Wilkinson, Huth, Shawcross, Wilson, Pennant, Cameron, Whelan, Kightly, Walters, Crouch.

Arsenal XI: Mannone, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Diaby, Arteta, Podolski, Cazorla, Gervinho, Giroud.

Having been cleared to play, new signing Geoff Cameron makes his Potters debut in midfield. The visitors are without Wojciech Szczesnydue to a rib injury, so Vito Mannone is between the sticks. There’s a first league start for Olivier Giroud, with Theo Walcott the player making way.

Following that game we move to Anfield, where bottom of the league Liverpool welcome the visit of the Premier League champions Manchester City.

    I understand he's had a lot on his plate lately, what with the Olympics last months, pre-season training, the Paralympics preparation etc, but it would be nice to see him get on today.

            I think many who are transferring in Chelsea players are on WCs. Torres and Hazard will rise at least 0.2M before next GW so cashing in I guess. I agree of course there are casuals who haven't got a clue that next week is a blank.

        Surely it just shows that lots of people are wildcarding. Yeah, if you are bringing in torres as your free transfer (or worse for a hit) you're in need of proffesional help, but bringing him in on a wildcard and sticking him on the bench next week isn't that crazy considering his form?

        I'm not in either camp by the way. I've had him from the start, intended to ditch him for RVP or Ade, and now don't know what the hell to do 🙂

      To be fair, I transferred in Hazard knowing of the blank but only because his price was going to rise. Torres is doing well but I think Hazard is looking essential for the season worth getting despite no game next week.

      Hazard might be out of your price range by next week. He's already 0.3M more expensive than Bale and could rise another 0.2M before next GW and Bale is dropping so could down in price. Might be tight..just saying.
