There’s two tasty fixtures on the bill today, as the Dugout Discussion opens for the second installment of Gameweek two. We start at the Britannia Stadium as Stoke City host Arsenal, and the team news is in…

Stoke XI: Begovic, Wilkinson, Huth, Shawcross, Wilson, Pennant, Cameron, Whelan, Kightly, Walters, Crouch.

Arsenal XI: Mannone, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Diaby, Arteta, Podolski, Cazorla, Gervinho, Giroud.

Having been cleared to play, new signing Geoff Cameron makes his Potters debut in midfield. The visitors are without Wojciech Szczesnydue to a rib injury, so Vito Mannone is between the sticks. There’s a first league start for Olivier Giroud, with Theo Walcott the player making way.

Following that game we move to Anfield, where bottom of the league Liverpool welcome the visit of the Premier League champions Manchester City.

    Why all the City hate? Yous know at the end of the league City's players will get some of the highest points on FPL. I own Zaba and he lost his Cs, so what. Makes it more interesting now that City will goal out attacking. Also that 3-5-2 is useless. I know it won the Charity Shield but its leaky 😕

    big team def looking relatively shaky

    man city - been poor defensively 3-2 in last 3 prem games and 1-0 down today
    Man utd - defence all over the shop, could have conceded a couple more v everton and about 5 more v fulham
    Chelsea - Defence is poor, wigan should have scored at least 1, reading got 2 and should have had more. Done ok v newcastle but wouldn't invest in chel def

      Only thing worse than the game was Stoke fans booing Ramsey when he came on.
      Carz skill was evident but Stoke was playing for the nill draw after about 25 min

      not enough for bonus. Stoke choked out any real penetration for most of the game. Arsenal didn't really do much offensively all together. a little worrying

    People need to realize defenses will tighten as the season goes on. Offenses always dominate in h beginning as teams and players adjust. So keep your Citeh-United keepers/defenders.

          Im no brit 🙂 not even close. Service dont matter if you cant do anything with the ball. Last nights toe poke could have gone anywhere. For 1 reasoning on my claim is the fact that he just does not take enough shots as he always gets the ball deep and tryes to beat his man and he is not good at it. He has just lost it, in the past he was never stagnant on the ball, everything came natural to him. I have seen nothing to confirm that anything is different now and if Abramovich has any brains he will buy a new striker.

          But it is just my opinion, I could bet you for under 15 goals. Any chance how to make it work. 🙂
