There’s two tasty fixtures on the bill today, as the Dugout Discussion opens for the second installment of Gameweek two. We start at the Britannia Stadium as Stoke City host Arsenal, and the team news is in…

Stoke XI: Begovic, Wilkinson, Huth, Shawcross, Wilson, Pennant, Cameron, Whelan, Kightly, Walters, Crouch.

Arsenal XI: Mannone, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Diaby, Arteta, Podolski, Cazorla, Gervinho, Giroud.

Having been cleared to play, new signing Geoff Cameron makes his Potters debut in midfield. The visitors are without Wojciech Szczesnydue to a rib injury, so Vito Mannone is between the sticks. There’s a first league start for Olivier Giroud, with Theo Walcott the player making way.

Following that game we move to Anfield, where bottom of the league Liverpool welcome the visit of the Premier League champions Manchester City.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is the place to follow all the action as it unfolds, and it can be accessed right here.

          Dyer then, or even Jarvis?

No cohesion up front for Arsenal at all. Giroud stumbling along the centre backs with no RvPesque elegance or smartness. Poldi's playing to much in the middle of the pitch. Gervinho's completely invisible.

Not used to see Gunners play like this

A guy affiliated with the FPL site told me if RVP had been with ManU before they priced the players in the game, he would have been priced at 12 mil, the same as Rooney. His 13 mil valuation was based on him being he center of influence Arsenal and getting most of the bps. LOL at those making room in their budgets to get RVP.

remember though that Marin is currently crocked and will get a good chunk of Bertrand's current minutes. Bertrand is really solid though on the left and looks a bit better in attack than perhaps expected given that he is primarily thought of as the LB of the future and cover for Cashley.

Marin gives the team width and attacking flair down the lefthand side. Bertrand is solid but more defensive. I wouldnt expect much in the way of scoring but if you like the occasional 3 points but mostly 1s and DNPs then I suppose he is your guy.
