[sbu_large_image] The Stock Check

City suffer more anxiety attacks but, again, overcome QPR to earn the three points with some familiar names again amongst the returns. Here’s the stock check from the day’s final encounter…

On the Up

Carlos Tevez
The overwhelming captaincy favourite this weekend, he didn’t let us down. Tevez played a part in all his side’s three goals – providing assists for the first two before grabbing the third, he currently sits on 24 FPL points pre-bonus, with the maximum looking likely. Those who opted for the Van Persie option will now have a uncomfortable 90 minutes ahead of them.

Yaya Toure
Once again, the Ivorian delivered for his Fantasy owners. Toure’s opener against QPR means he has produced attacking returns in all three of City’s games so far; cheaper than the likes of Samir Nasri and David Silva across the Fantasy games, he is proving to be the main contender from Mancini’s midfield and can expect plenty of suitors over the international break.

Edin Dzeko
The Bosnian striker has his doubters but, once again, he cropped up with a vital goal. While Tevez is overwhelming the strongest attacking option in the City lineup, Dzeko now appears to be in the box seat for starts alongside him; particularly now that Mario Balotelli is facing a month out due to an eye operation.

Going Down

The City Defence
Three games, no clean sheets. It’s a bit of a worry for owners of Vincent Kompany and Joe Hart – both are priced highly across the Fantasy games due to their near guaranteed selection but with City continuing to leak goals at the back, the pair could well be shed from squads as we reassess our line-ups. Rotation is a constant worry – just ask Gael Clichy owners – while Pablo Zabaleta was withdrawn with a “slight” hamstring twinge.

Djibril Cisse
Dropped to the bench to make way for a change in shape, Cisse, along with Adel Taarabt, Junior Hoilett and Bobby Zamora, looks far from secure as Hughes shuffles his attacking options match to match.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

can see southampton shutting up shop and carrick and cleverly passing the ball sideways for the 90 - only hope of any service to persie is valencia but his end product was poor against fulham, bad decision on my part going against the home player tevez- although i knew dzeko would be basically the goal-poacher feeding off the service from others and tevez would be floating in the hole which is effectively what he did - until the end when he scored a flukey goal

If i wild card now to maximise price rises is the 0.3 cap each week or is until the next game week. Also am i right in assuming i just wait until a player goes up 0.2 and then move them out as the extra 0.1 wont add to my profit?

There's no price rise cap, 0.1 rise is max per day so in theory a player could rise 0.7 over normal GW, 0.4 is about the max.

Not true. There is a 0.3 cap per gameweek. As an example, Michu had enough transfers in for a fourth rise before both the GW2 and GW3 deadlines, but didn't.

yep, but you just know when its not going to happen for you - cleverly/carrick will play safe and pass sideways for the 90 and nani will cross the ball into the stands allday - only tony v and to a lesser extent kag will give him anything to feed off - danny welbeck will play without pig playing and although hes a decent prospect he won't exactly enhance rvps chances

Have anyone read or heard anything about Zabaleta from a proper source? Physioroom and some twitter nutjobs have him down with a hamstring injury. He did indeed hold his hamstring when he went off but as far as I know it might as well just have been some random pain.

    So?

The commentators on ESPN seemed to think it was some kind of tight hamstring - don't remember if that was from the pitch-side reporters or just them guessing, though.

He looked OK as he walked off. It wasn't as if he was hobbling. Two week break, he should be fine.

A little bit. Until everyone realised that 98 per cent of 'proper' players had Tevez, so they weren't making much ground on anyone.

How's this for a WC team:

    Jaask 4.0
    Baines, Cashley, Rafael, Demel, Clyne
    Barfa, Nolan, Michu, hazard, pienaar
    RVP, tevez, graham

What to do with my team?
    De Gea Federici
    Ivanovic Rangel Hangeland Demel Clyne
    Bale Hazard Kagawa Michu Noble
    Tevez Torres Petric

The two I need to get rid of are Bale and Petric, but I've made two hits already this season so not sure about another one. Thinking either Bale ➡ Yaya or Petric ➡ Graham, Fletcher, Berba or maybe even Arouna Kone 😉
    Thoughts please 🙂

        Hi,
        really want to WC tonight...

        DDG, Federici (d)
        Zab, Walker (d), Clyne, A.Cole (d), Tomkins (d)
        Yaya (u), Bale (d), Noble (d), Britton (d), Michu (u)
        RVP (u) Tevez (u) Graham (u)

        (u) = price rising/potentially rising, (d) = dropping

Got 0.4m to do Bale to Hazard but thinking of WC to clean up the rest of my team. Transfers will be...
        DDG> Foster
        Federici to Jussi (u)
        A.Cole to Rafael (u)
        Tomkins to Rangel (u)
        Clyne to Demel (u)
        Zabs to Jenks (u)
        Walker to Bertrand (u)
        Bale to Hazard (u)
        Noble to Pienaar (u)
        Britton to HBA (u)

Am i better off saving WC? or does this make sense? Cheers

I've pushed that wc button, as I usually do after gw3, even though I wanted to hold on longer this year. Catch the rises and pray is what I am doing (without the praying). I've 2 weeks to sort it out and that should be enough 🙂
