A Stadium of Light stalemate brings the day’s proceedings to a close as Liverpool’s dominance fails to deliver a much-needed three points for Brendan Rodgers. Here’s part two of the Stock Check…

On the Up

Steven Fletcher
Three efforts on goal, all converted. Martin O’Neill’s money looks well spent as the former Wolves man proves that, if you can keep him fed, he will deliver top flight goals. Only the Berbatov bandwagon will tame interest in Fletcher over the next few weeks.

Luis Suarez
The Uruguayan still commands over 9% ownership in the Fantasy Premier League game and this evening’s goal, on a day when the other big players faltered, will provide great comfort for those who have kept faith.

Raheem Sterling
Outstanding again on the Liverpool right flank, capped by an assist, the young winger looks to be cementing a starting role and, with a rock bottom price tag, will surely begin to harvest further Fantasy owners in the coming weeks.

Glen Johnson
Shifted to the left-back role, Johnson pushed on as Luis Suarez tucked inside and was a constant attacking threat. If Liverpool can start delivering clean sheets, Johnson could shape up to be a useful differential punt.

Going Down

Carlos Cuellar
The most popular option in the Black Cats’ defence was subbed at half-time with a reported hamstring injury. We await the prognosis. A spell on the sidelines would be a concern, particularly with Martin O’Neill’s defensive options likely to increase with the return of Phil Bardsley and Wes Brown.

Steven Gerrard
Deployed in a deeper role, Gerrard saw a lot of the ball but not in areas that can deliver Fantasy returns. Gerrard, along with David Silva and Gareth Bale, has failed to deliver on his price tag thus far and today’s showing provided little encouragement.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Which transfer should I do first?

    A) De Gea out, Foster in.

    or

    B) Graham out, Berbatov in.

So how come Kacaniklic was back in the starting lineup again today? Nice to see him doing so well, but sadly he was my third sub. 🙂

Yeah. I'm pissed off about that. I know I made the choice but when you come on here and see people saying 'he won't play' or 'get rid of him' it's pretty fcking annoying. Where were they getting that from?

        Petric and Richardson were injured.

Most people won't have said 'he won't play', they'll have said that he won't start every week or that he isn't nailed on and that's true. Most people want to get rid of rotation risks like that.

Furry muff. Should've stuck to my instincts and played him ahead of Noble. My decision. Missed out on 20 points from him this season though!

Ah, Richardson injured. I thought he must be but I hadn't heard anything about it...

Well, Kaca has staked his claim to keep a place in Fulham's starting 11 now at least (and my squad!).

    What the fu3k Ferguson

Fair enough if you want to rest your prize asset for tougher fixtures to come but to bring him on when you are three up is a total contradiction. It doesn't make any sense. What were you thinking?

Bale last gw and now RVP this week as captain.

ok gents. not WC-ing yet and not planning to take a -4 hit this week.

1FT and 0.8 in the bank.

    DDG, Fed
    Rangel, Hange, Demel, Clyne, Zab
    Hazard, Nolan, Kaca, Pienaar, Cazorla
    RvP, Tevez, Graham

my thoughts are that the midfield is quite decent and the forward line is acceptable.

    any ideas?

Players that I need to boot out are
    DDG
    Cuellar
    Kagawa
    Graham

    But where do I start?

    I'm thinking either
Graham to Berbatov or Kagawa to Ben Arfa.
Berba is very tempting as I have Michu also, but then again Swans have 3 out of 4 at home...

Common, The avg of 120 ffs regulars should be a decent indication of where the ffs average lies.

Also the small samples of 20 for each league, collaborate with the overall avg of 120 people, so I say it should be pretty close.

    Continuing the Kacaniklic talk.

He's now one of the top 10 midfielders in the game (21pts) ahead of the likes of Lampard, Nasri, Pienaar, Gerrard etc.

I am proud to be a gw1 owner and a prepreseasonbandwagon buyer. Me and Nitin failed to keep it to ourselves sadly.

The market is way too volatile at the moment. Cant way for the casuals to lose interest and thus provide the stability that the fpl sterling needs.

Speaking of which, Sterling bandwagon or should I be sensible and get Guthrie/Kebe?

He was permanent in my team preseason till he got injured. It is entirely his fault that I got McAnuff, and he deserves a chance for justice. How is that not sensible...
