Junior Hoilett
Such a bright spark in Blackburn’s relegation season, Hoilett has struggled to cement a starting role in Mark Hughes’ new look outfit. The Canadian showed up today, however, firing the R’s in front via a Leighton Baines deflection and putting in a decent shift. Hoilett, offers an option in the R’s midfield, although if you’re looking to gamble on such a punt, Adel Taarabt is cheaper and arguably more potent.

Going Down

Steven Pienaar
Everton’s playmaker was harshly dismissed for two bookable offences – the second challenge looking innocuous to say the least. Pienaar is now set to serve a one-match ban that will see him sit out the Merseyside derby in Gameweek 9.

Anton Ferdinand
Dropped to the bench with Mark Hughes electing to start Ryan Nelsen and Stephane Mbia in central defence, Ferdinand’s starting role could now be at risk. Significantly, Nelsen has started the last six league outings for the R’s and is amongst the 4.0 defenders on offer in the FPL. Nelsen was withdrawn late on with cramp.

Not a glamour pick, but I'm thinking Pienaar --> Walters. Walters stats are actually not bad - especially when you consider Stoke have had to play Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man C and Liverpool in their first 8 games. He plays pretty high up the pitch, takes pens, and his run of fixtures ahead are sublime. What say ye?!

  West Ham have been pretty decent in defence though... and it is Wigan.

    Hasn't scored in his last 2, and Sunderland don't create much. Once that one shot, one goal run finished this was always likely to happen until Sunderland sort their attack out.

  No point in going with 2 keepers who rotate home and away if you're not playing the guy at home (unless he is at home to a City/Chelsea/United and the other is away at Norwich/Reading etc).
  
  Play Bego. Plus Sunderland are decidedly average atm, I'd fancy Wigan to score over Sunderland

  Swansea should be an easy match. I can see Tevez scoring. So can the FIFA 13 simulation. It's been quite accurate with score lines 😀 maybe it's just coincidence though.
