Junior Hoilett
Such a bright spark in Blackburn’s relegation season, Hoilett has struggled to cement a starting role in Mark Hughes’ new look outfit. The Canadian showed up today, however, firing the R’s in front via a Leighton Baines deflection and putting in a decent shift. Hoilett, offers an option in the R’s midfield, although if you’re looking to gamble on such a punt, Adel Taarabt is cheaper and arguably more potent.

Going Down

Steven Pienaar
Everton’s playmaker was harshly dismissed for two bookable offences – the second challenge looking innocuous to say the least. Pienaar is now set to serve a one-match ban that will see him sit out the Merseyside derby in Gameweek 9.

Anton Ferdinand
Dropped to the bench with Mark Hughes electing to start Ryan Nelsen and Stephane Mbia in central defence, Ferdinand’s starting role could now be at risk. Significantly, Nelsen has started the last six league outings for the R’s and is amongst the 4.0 defenders on offer in the FPL. Nelsen was withdrawn late on with cramp.

What to do with Michu?

1. Keep, despite pretty awful looking fixtures
2. Transfer for Nolan - just keeps producing doesn't he, difficult to ignore now - but fixtures don't look great
3. Transfer for Walters - great fixtures and potential OoP, but not quite producing like Nolan/Michu

  I was going to get rid this week for Bale. Might do Fellaini to Bale instead though. Or might do Lambert to Defoe. Walters or Nolan are both great options I would do the transfer. Nolan's safer but Walter's would be a good differential if he explodes.

Hah....I've just pulled the trigger on 3 transfers (costing 4pts) on the basis that values are likely to move this week. Now I have the feeling that it could easily backfire, what do you think? I did:

Hazard > Mata (one may drop, the other WILL rise)
Pienaar > Bale (red card for Pienaar and was always planning for Bale vs his old team Saints)
Podolski > Berba (Podolski not scoring points and I'm a Fulham fan so go figure)

My team for next week now looks like this:

Bego
Jenkinson, Baines, Clark
Santi, Mata, Bale, Michu
Ba, RvP, Berba

Subs: Jussi, Hughes, Davies, Guthrie

How am I looking guys???

Crouch, Lambert, Berbatov, Fletcher, other?

Crouch's fixtures are so good, but Stoke don't score many in general.

Lambert's fixtures look pretty good, and Southampton have goals in them. I don't think game time will be an issue.

Berbatov is a class act, but fixtures aren't great, and Fulham don't historically travel well.

Fletcher leads the line, fixtures aren't great, Sunderland don't look like a team set up to score many goals.

Decisions decisions.
