Despite the playful twitter tamperings of Gary Lineker, Robin Van Persie takes his place in an unchanged and attacking United lineup for today’s early kick-off against Arsenal. The Dutchman starts, then, and wears the Fantasy armband for many as he faces his former club for the first time.

Our Dugout Discussion Chatroom is now open and available to collect all the joy and agony of this match and the day’s other six encounters, concluding with City’s visit to West Ham this evening.

The lineups from Old Trafford are predictable. Both sides remain unchanged with Sir Alex Ferguson keeping faith with Ashley Young on the flank, opting to keep Javier Hernandez in reserve, with Danny Welbeck out of the squad. As for Arsenal, they keep Theo Walcott on the leash as they put out the starting XI that struggled to break down QPR last weekend.

Man United: De Gea, Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Cleverley, Young, Rooney, van Persie

Arsenal: Mannone, Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Santos, Arteta, Ramsey, Wilshere, Cazorla, Podolski, Giroud

      A lot of players in this Arsenal team that should be questioned. Santos, Podolski, Giroud and Ramsey are the stand-outs imo.

    Thinking of ditching both Barfa/Lambert and have 2 options:
    1) Silva + Pog
    2) 4.5 mid for the bench + Tevez

    Looking at the stats, tevez appears to be a better choice, but I have a feeling Silva will come good.

    RVP is highest scoring player in FPL and practically Captainable every week, yet only 32% onwership. I know he's pricey and probably is the reason why he's not at 50-60% ownership. I think those who have gone the cheap route are sitting uneasy right now. I hope people continue to shun RVP because of his price, as it's been great in my ML, where few have him.

        I can see the attraction of having Rooney as he's a great player with potential explosive returns but his returns come in patches. RVP will score well most weeks. He's worth the extra dosh.
