West Broms Foster is out a while due to operation ???
Open ControlsI'd say he is out. Operation.. small or not doesn't bode well.
Open Controls
Crouch to Berbs done
Foster bego
Demel Clyne Cuellar Baines Ridgwell
Fellaini Cazorla Hazard Michu Sterling
Robin Ba and Berba
1ft
0.6 in bank
thoughts and suggestions will be appreciated.Open ControlsAlso made that move. Choosing Crouch 3 weeks ago cost me around 20 points...
Open ControlsClyne out
Open ControlsPractically the same as my team now! You have Foster Clyne and Sterling to my Ruddy Hughes and Maloney. Im shipping Hazard to one of Walcott, Mata or Bale. I know Bale isnt producing but he always torments the Gunners at the Emirates.
Open Controls
I think I'm gonna stick with Caz for now, so often this season I've jumped ship at the first sign of trouble with a quality player and its come back to hurt me (Bale at the start, Hazard week 6, Fellaini week 8 etc.) and Caz certainly has potential to score big, especially if he's potentially on penalties now. (Similarly for Aguero but I'm not even tempted to take him out)
Gonna hold off getting Fellaini and just pray he picks up a booking, can't really justify a hit for a player who could easily miss the game after next. Peinaar is still a good player who can deliver points in the meantime.Open ControlsProbably smart. I agree that Cazorla will score well at some point but it Fellaini is great value. I needed the money to do Tevez to Aguero or Lambert to Ba/Giroud, depending on what looks best.
Open ControlsGood, reasoned thought. Switch off for now, and revisit whether Caz should stay or go next Friday. Nothing to be gained now unless you fancy catching Fellaini's price rises. Could be a case of after the Lord Mayor's show.
Open ControlsSame reason I'm sticking, him and Bale will come good soon . . . i hope
Open ControlsThey're both great players with great potential. Both will score very well over the season for sure.
Open Controls
Only MOTD2 on iPlayer, though. (Don't know why!)

Hi Guys,
Wildcarding this week.... thoughts on how to improve on following?:
Jaask - Begovic
Shawcross - Gorkss - Rafael - Reid - Cuellar
Fellaini - Silva - Sterling - Michu - Nolan
Berbatov - Suarez - RVP
Bank: 2.4M
First season and need help! Especially not sure about goalies / defenders, with upcoming fixtures.Open Controlsis it worth Routledge and Tevez out for Berbatov and Fellaini ? -4 hit
That means im without City coverage for the next GWOpen ControlsGot two options as I don’t fancy a 4 point hit
Either
A) cazorla or Valencia out for silva
Or
B) sterling out for fellaini
Kind of want to keep sterling for Wigan game but fellaini’s form is undeniable.
Valencia and cazorla are obvious season keepers but silva returning to city will mean more goals
Any help welcome
Sorry for re post just wanted a bit of help before a try and kip!Open ControlsFellaini is a risk with the potential suspension but his form is unbelievable. Highly doubt Reading will be able to contain him so I expect him to be heavily involved
Open Controls
Caz to Silva isn't worth a hit, right?
I can only afford Silva him at 9.3.
Do you think he will rise before the weekend?Open Controlssilva isn't going to rise before the weekend
Open Controls
Could Suarez be 10millions before next gmweek?
Open ControlsSad to see Ben Arfa leave my team as he's one of my favourite players to watch but it had to be done. He did look okay today but I just think there's far too many shots from outside the box and he's not looking threatening enough within and around the 18 yard box.
I may well regret it with their fixtures to come, but I think Fellaini offers a better alternative and most would agree. We'll see, but I don't really like getting rid of players unless I can prove to myself logically beyond reasonable doubt that the decision is a good one. I think this was slightly knee jerk in hindsight but the right decision overall.
What do you guys think of HBA?Open ControlsI think he did well today, unlucky not to score on 2 occassions.
Definately one of newcastle's liveliest players with Ba. I would have looked at other options to fund fellaini but it's done now.Open ControlsAgree with what you said. He's also struggling points wise because Newcastle overall at the moment struggle to involve more players than their forwards in their attacks. I've carried Arfa for five weeks and essentially feel that I've had a 7.9m right-back. Sold for Fellaini just an hour ago too, it had to be done.
It's the ultimate form over fixtures case, and even though both sides are important I know what I'd rather back.Open Controls
All Hail the Cup!
Shawcross and Baines come up with the goods for a shock win in bapjury time,
WOOP WOOP
WHENS THE DRAW
WHENS THE DRAW!!!!Open ControlsAny United fans around? Is Chicharito likely to start against Norwich and more?
Open Controlsaccording to Fergie he is going to start next game.
Open ControlsI'm thinking Nani or Young. They've been terrible.
Open Controls
iirc, SAF said that Pea "will play" next week. "Start" was not used.
A.) This is SAF we're talking about.
B.) Pea could well start and *not* displace RVP/Rooney.
C.) If he does start, I really can't see him getting a consistent run of starts.
D.) He's a Dzeko-type striker inasmuch as he's a great impact sub, but doesn't always 'click' when he starts.
I love the little fella -- but I'd avoid Hernandez like VD in FPL.Open Controls
script is already written. he starts v norwich and is out the team the game after
Open Controls
Please RMT for this gameweek:
Begovic
Baines-Shawcross-Demel
Hazard-Caz-Michu-Fellani (vc)
Berbs-Suarez(c)-Ba
Bench: Gazzinga, Vermaelan,Barnett,GuthrieOpen ControlsShould not really bench a 7m+ defender. Either field Verm ahead of Demel/ShawX or transfer him out for Rafael for instance, imo.
Open ControlsI like it, you're certainly banking on West Ham 0-0 Stoke though. Could well be but I'd fancy them (West Ham) to beat us (Stoke).
I'd probably put Vermaelen in for Shawcross in that case.
I do think you're missing RVP as well but there's different lines of thinking. Your midfield is a lot stronger within him.Open Controls
RMT for next weekend please guys...
Begovic (Tremmel)
Rafael Enrique Nelsen (Cuellar) (Gorkss)
Mata Silva Fellaini Taarabt (Maloney)
RVP Ba SuarezOpen ControlsGreat team, but somehow I fancy Wigan to score against Liverpool. They are improving all the time and looked good against West Brom.
Open Controls
berbatov on 216%, rvp 2% off a rise 😛
Open ControlsI hate it when one of my players goes over 200%, makes me feel like i've lost 0.1
Open ControlsWhy is there a limit of 1 price rise a day and why is there a limit of 0.3
Surely with the no of players increasing every year they should increase/remove the thresholdOpen Controlsi think they should remove the threshold (daily and weekly). that way, a lot more ppl would have to be active and actually pay attention to the market trends of players, and people wouldn't be so afraid to take hits. it would be the game better i think.
Open Controlsmake the game*
Open Controls2.5 million, mostly casual, managers would bring unholy turbulence to the market. Teams would range from 40.0 million to 165.0 million in value in no time.
That would be bad.Open Controlswell you would obviously have to do something to counter act that. starting players at a higher cost would. also, your team value can go down as fast as it goes up by that logic. the people who have high value would need to take lots of hits.
Open Controls
I agree something should be done with the threshold.
I guess they want to control price rises somewhat otherwise no threshold for daily rises could see ridiculous price rises and could see likes of rvp at 15m by now. So I agree with daily price rise limit of 1 for instance but allow for unlimited rises for a gameweek?Open ControlsIt would regulate itself though as people would sell RVP at that price. Each player would be their natural price, you'd be rewarded for getting on/ditching early.
Open Controls
Arsenal Spurs is going to be an insanely intense match. Arsenal haven't had the best of runs but for Spurs...if they lose they'll have lost 3 games in a row and if you include League cup that's 4 in a row domestically. That's a really poor run for any top team. AVB will be under extreme pressure if he doesn't get something out of it I feel.
Bearing all that in mind...what kind of result can we expect? With the tension I'd imagine nervousness but that could work either way. It could either make it open or it could make it too tense for either team to try anything crazy.
After conceding 3 at home Arsene will be looking for a big improvement. And squandering a 2-0 lead will infuriate him. So I'm going to say it'll be 1-1 or 2-1/1-2Open ControlsArsenal are leaking goals and leaving too much space at the back. The Spurs defence today fell apart in the wide areas towards the end, Can see Walcott/Ox/Podolski having some joy. all in all I see many goals and a high tempo game.
Open ControlsYeah that is what you would hope for. I'm just thinking that the psychological factors might lead to it being a tighter affair. AVB also seems to try to kill games if he can get leads. It's going to be an interesting tactical battle.
I'm trying to figure out to whether I should keep Cazorla...I'm hoping for a high tempo game as I think that would suit owning an Arsenal/Spurs attacker for that match. I just wonder with their collectively poor form going into this game they might be more cautious than attacking each other relentlessly.Open Controlsas a Bale and Cazorla owner, and sticking with them, I am obviously hoping for goals galore!! 🙂 No matter how cautious the managers arrange their team once the crowd get behind their teams it should kick off.
I do agree with you about AVB trying to kill the game, at 1-1 today i thought his subs were appalling, deprived them of any pressure outlet and invited the winning goal.Open ControlsYeah, he needs to teach his players how to keep possession when they have those leads and not just always make a tactical substitution to deliberately be more defensive-minded. It works if you've got a well-oiled ship but his players don't have the discipline for it sometimes. And a lot of matches this year he has been at fault for letting leads slip by changing tactics. I'd say it's a disaster trying to get players like Bale, Defoe, Dempsey, Siggy, Lennon to do anything defensively though. He might as well just go all out attack and hope for the best.
Open ControlsThere was a great piece on MOTD2 last season where Brendan Rodgers was talking about surrendering leads late on in consecutive games so in training he relentlessly drilled them on maintaining possesion under heavy pressure and the next game when they went 2-1 up with ten minutes to go, they kept the ball from the opposition for 5 minutes and killed the game. Big respect for that mans footballing brain.
True about the mentioned players, but Adebayor was so crucial to their hold up play today, that when he went off they couldn't get the ball anywhere near the Man City box.Open Controls
Spurs and 'Pool are having a contest for 'Underperformer of the Year' ...
They will also both have new coaches by May.Open Controlsbrendan rogers will be given time
Open ControlsLike Hodgson?
Rogers is keeping the seat warm until 'Pool find a real manager. Unless they go on a win streak, he's a dead man managing.Open Controlsit's easy to write him off now, but liverpool fans have faith in him, and you can see he's building the team for the future.
Open ControlsWithout the intention to flame you/Liverpool, but I must ask: Do they have faith in him? Why, exactly? And bringing in Carragher shows he's building for the future?
Are these things actually true?
Again, honest questions, asked respectfully.Open Controlsnot even carragher knew he was going to play today. he even said that after the match. he was only brought in for skrtel who was out with an illness. and of course we have faith in him. why wouldn't we? he's buying young players, and slowly building the team. the pts we have do not accurately show our potential.
Open ControlsWhat?! Given that Brendan Rodgers has 1 striker to play with, I'm surprised Liverpool aren't in the bottom 3.
Stop your wumming.Open Controlsso it's his fault they only have 1 healthy striker? it was a mistake to loan carroll out, but who would've known borini would get injured. hopefully they'll have a good january transfer window and sort that out. and by your logic, where would other teams be without some of their key players?
Open Controlswait, i think your on my side of the argument.. are you?
Open ControlsIt's not wumming, I stated that explicitly, they're realistic questions to ask, and no one fecking asked you to open your pie hole with your stupidity.
Chelsea haven't one decent striker and they're top 3. Moron.Open Controls
Avb is a great manager i think he will stay in Spurs for more time.
Open ControlsResults at Chelsea and now Tot - two teams loaded with quality - say otherwise.
Open Controls
no team with defoe in it will ever finish in the top 4
Open Controls
Saturday night 7 points.
Now at 53.
Thank godOpen Controlsshipped him for suarez
Open Controls
Ok,
I took a 4pt hit to bring Ba in for Berbatov at about 1am on saturday morning. Up there in my top 5 worst transfers ever.
Do I bring him back straight away? Ba still has decent fixtures the next 4, and could easily outscore Berb. It's just that I'll want to Berb back sooner rather than later, and am reluctant to pay 0.5-1 mil more for him than his current price.
Other strikers are Tevez and RVP. Thinking of shipping Tevez for SuarezOpen ControlsTevez to Berbatov. Done.
Open ControlsI want to do this very badly. But do you not feel dumping Tevez before the home to Villa fixture is basically a sideways move?
Open ControlsIt's not ideal, but Berbatov will go up 0.3 this week, and by next Sunday 0.4. My team value is too poor to wait. I don't see Tevez scoring more than Berbs next week anyway. Berbs is the crux of the Fulham attack, with City I think Aguero and Silva are the ones.
Open Controls
better budget mid going forward…
Sterling or Noble.Open ControlsSterling for me.
Open Controls
In your opinion what is the best strikeforce to own?
Open Controlswith no budget? rvp, aguero (once they're mathematically out of CL) and ba/suarez
Open Controls
Which defender to bench?
Hangeland (SUN), Demel (STK), Simpson (SWA)Open ControlsSimpson
Open Controls
Fletcher to Berbatov for a hit?
Open ControlsCazorla owners. What to do? Looks like dropping this week but my Arsenal forum buddies are telling me he might take penalties now.
Open Controlsif podolski is on, he will take pens.
Open ControlsAccording to Wenger Arteta is number 1 in the pecking order, and Cazorla the 2nd.
Open Controlswell arteta took (and missed) the last one because podolski was already subbed off. so i don't know for sure, but i thought podolski was number 1 for penalty duties.
Open Controls
Okay, cheers. Want to replace Cazorla with Silva but it's a hit.
Open Controls
Wenger said he is second in line behind Arteta, whether that now makes him number one now that Arteta has missed i don't know. I am worried about Walcott taking some of his set pieces though, when did he ever learn to cross!?
Open ControlsHave done Caz> Silva already. Pens or not.
If Walcott is nailed on I'll get him as my Arsenal cover.Open Controls
Made a new video
the btiches will love it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNM6ssdivfAOpen ControlsSo who are the two 'big hitters' to have in midfielder?
I'd consider Mata as a near essential, alongside either...
A) Bale
B) Cazorla
C) Silva
D) Walcott?Open Controlsive gone mental and got a bunch of em
bale michu caz mara and fellOpen ControlsFirst you must decide whether its better to have Caz or Walcott. I think Walcott is better because when they play together he offers more goal threat. I also think Giroud is more likely to score from a cross rather than a cleaver thru ball from Caz.
Then the question is whether you already have 'cover' in the striker department, eg: if you already have Kun/Tevez then don't bother with Silva etc.Open Controls
When city play it on the floor with Silva and Aguero being the main men, they look pretty lively.
Hopefully Mancini takes note. You have 2/3 world class players (incl debatable Hart). Use them.Open ControlsI'm thinking about a team with both Silva and Aguero. Think Aguero is going to be an essential soon enough.
Open ControlsMeh at Hart.
But I agree, City look far better with the two of them doing their thing. I think it's been injuries and rotation for Champs league that has affected this from being what we see week in week out.Open ControlsI don't see why he rotates as much as he does, unless Aguero is still recovering from his last injury. But then he did it last year as well.
Aguero and Silva should be played every week when fit, bar the very odd game and unimportant cup games. Build the team around Aguero, Silva, Hart, Kompany and Clichy. Rest is rotatable.Open Controls
