A Gameweek tainted by no less than three 0-0 stalemates still saw several protagonists produce strong statistical shifts. Jordi Gomez and Stephane Sessegnon led the way in our ICT Index rankings and are amongst the players picked out in this week’s Big Numbers, our summary of some of the key stats on show from the weekend’s action…

I know ppl are itching to get rid of Baines.. i advice them to watch Everton's matches and Baines. It is just that Everton are leaking goals, Baines still a goal threat and what a player.. Even in the game against Norwich he had two fantastic shots on target, both saved by Ruddy..Best Full back in the EPL..
Open Controls-
Buddy, this game doesnt care about how well you play. Its whether you score or assist or keep a CS. Thats it.
Open Controls -
Sometimes it's about the points they produce, not the quality of the player. This is a points based game. No one gives a toss on how great a player played that game unless they produce something out of it. Especially the PPI folks.
That being said, I'm keeping him for one more week.Open Controls -
I agree that he is one of, if not the best left back in the prem. It's whether he is worth 7m in FPL just so you can hope for a penalty every week.
Open Controls -
I already ditched Baines last week, and I was shitting myself during the Norwich game, but I think you're missing the point. We all know Baines will deliver points every now and then, probably a more rare occurrence over the next few weeks, but it's not all about his points. It's about getting a defender for much cheaper who not only delivers solid returns, but most of all allows another big hittter up top. With the fixtures and the form, Baines doesn't justify missing out on an extra Silva, Bale, Suarez etc.
Open Controls -
I am not saying that you're right or wrong about baines, but if you watch a lot of everton games and see him playing well you keep him, points so far or not. That is how you do well at this game, you watch the matches and see players that are playing well and due a points haul.
Last year in the first 4 GWs these boards were full of "RVP is a waste" or "not worth the money" and "he is not scoring" comments. I watched Arsenals first few matches last season and brought him in when everyone else was dropping him.
This year has been tougher (I haven't been able to watch many matches) but I did see a few early pool matches and thought suarez looked more deadly than normal but hadn't done much for points yet. I brought him in, C vs Norwich. 3 goals and an assist.
Good players notice form before it produces points.... although it doesn't always pay, it's a sound system to use.Open Controls-
agreed, I try to catch them early, before the bandwagon kicks on. I did the same with Suarez and luckily it paid off. Although lost patience with Baines this week, out for enrique and frees up money to havea front line of RVP, Suarez, Aguero next week. Infinitely more of a threat than Baines even if it does bite back with the odd goal or assist and BP in the next few weeks.
Also agree, Baines actual play has been outstanding all season but until Everton start to tighten up I won't get him back.Open Controls

El Berbossa are you there? 😆 😆 😆 !

What happened?

Have you seen his transfers for next GW?

Only know of Stam from memory.

After producing points in a minimum of how many games, would you say a player has "hit form", be it home, away or in general.
3?Open Controls-
2
Open Controls -
Depends on how they play in general, their history for scoring points, and why they weren't getting any in weeks previous.
As a whole, probably 3 yeah.Open Controls -
If in game one they hit the bar twice, then in game two they get stopped by a brilliant save, they have hit form and will give you a brace in the third game 😉
Open Controls

0 ft any reason to hit?
Bego, Mig

Currently Jose Enrique is the most overrated player in FF Scout posts. Shane Long is the most under-rated.
Open Controls-
I've had my eye on him, but idk if I want to get rid of Berbatov.
Open Controls-
Berbatov is decent. So many, when transferring out a player look to a similarly priced player regardless if form. When have you seen a post " Getting Van Persie and Baines out for Long and Cuellar. Gives me loads of cash to upgrade elsewhere"? Never.
Open Controls
-
-
Don't understand why you think Enrique is overrated now? I've no plans to get him but...
- He's relatively cheap, 5.7
- Liverpool are solid at the back, and have crazy fixtures for a while
- He is playing in a front 3, and is a defender!Open Controls-
A very suitable Baines alternative as well. Will more than likely get him after the Spurs game.
Open Controls-
Nice. Looking at Clyne > Wisdom after Spurs here, if he is fit.
Open Controls

A Stoke/Hammers/ Norwich/ Sunderland defender would be 1m or more cheaper with same or better CS potential. He might play in front 3 but he'll get few attacking points, 2 goals in more than 5 years in English football? I thought his defensive positional sense was poor, attack wise it's worse. A 10 year old would have known how to stay onside for the goal rules out v Swansea.
Open Controls-
So you think a West Ham defender with UTD CHE ARS EVE WEST BROM
has better potential than a liverpool defender with TOT SOU WH VIL FUL
seriously not?Open Controls-
Hammers defence decent at home regardless of opposition and I mentioned Stoke/Sunderland and Norwich too. Wisdom is better value than Enrique, not sure if either are nailed-on. Reds won't keep CS v Spurs and Hammers and probably not against Southampton.
Open Controls
-
-
in more than 5 years in English football, how many times has he played up on the left of a front three? Not many I'd suspect. He got a goal and assist last week (as well as 5 chances created!) and he was inches away from another goal yesterday.
You can have Stoke/Hammers/Norwich/Sunderland (?) defenders too, many have Jussi/Begovic and many people aren't willing to double up. Meaning there is still another 3 defensive spots up for grabs, why not give one to Liverpool who are clearly improving in defence with Rodgers at the helm and he fixtures to back it up?Open Controls

Interestingly enough, West Brom have scored 23 goals and currently sit third in the table yet they only have one player featured in the watchlist (Ridgewell).

Would a back line of
Ridgewell Cuellar Shorey Hughes Davies
be too light if I had a front 8 of
Silva Bale Walcott Mata - Puncheon
RVP Suarez FletcherOpen Controls-
This is by week 15 btw.

is it a bold move to transfer cazorla out and bring silva in???
Open Controls -
You know you have had a bad week when for one moment you think you have got no Baps and then celebrate when you realise you got one for Caulker...
Open Controls -
A) Play Puncheon (NOR)
OR
B) Ba -> Fletcher (QPR), play Fletcher and bench Puncheon?Open Controls -
What's the news behind Valencia, did he get injured? Maloney as well?
Open Controls -
this is my defence at the moment...
rafael, clyne, cuellar, mcauley and jose enrique... which 3 should i bring in the starting XI???Open Controls-

yes thats what i thought too.. thanks willis
Open Controls-
-
enrique against tottenham away match...do you think he will score something?
Open Controls-
-
oh yes, i was watching it. enrique is playing like a left midfielder now..more chances of a goal or assists and thus points.. but fixture wise i think clyne, cuellar and rafael are good.
know enrique can blast against any defence since he is playing out of his position.Open Controls

Woah, creepy.
Last season (like this) I started crap and GW13 was the GW that shot me up the rankings. 320K > 84K thanks to Mata (c) going mental and RVP doing nowt. After a crap start this season my comeback started early and I hit and hovered at 30-35K for a few weeks. After 3 red arrows I'm down to 84K!
Managed to get up to 6K GW37 last year before a final day punt (Moses at home to Wolves and Torres at home to Blackburn in for an 8 pointer for Pienaar and Jelavic, to end the season with some fun..it wasn't) Moses went on to get a blank, Torres was benched and both Pienaar and Jelavic scored. Had I just been boring and not done anything I'd have ended up 3.5K ish.
Anyways, pointless story over, 84K in 2011/12 in GW13, 84K in 2012/13 in GW13 means I'm still on target for my aim of top 5K.Open Controls-
Not really. Last season you were on the way up after GW 13, whilst this season, you're on the decline.
Open Controls-
Haha. Good point.
Open Controls
-
-
target should be top 1k JOA....
you are settling just targeting 5KOpen Controls-
Indeed it should be but at the start of the season I set out for top 5K after I *should* have been there last season. Until I get back to a good rank I'll keep it at 5K 😉
Open Controls-
I target no.1 and haven't broken the top 1K yet myself...

Pondering a few transfer options. The comparison below is a little awkward but I don't plan on having more than 2 'Pool players. So which is the best way of covering Arsenal and Liverpool?
A) Suarez + Walcott + Sterling (if Walcott is fit)
B) Giroud + Sterling + Wisdom (if Walcott isn't fit)Open Controls -
begovic
rafael, clyne, cuellar
bale, mata, silva, sterling
ba, berbatov, rvp
subs: federici, jose enrique, mcauley, britton
rate this team.Open Controls -
So i'm now pretty set on doing..
Cazorla > Silva
Berb > Fletcher
Ba > Giroud
-4pts
Does anyone think its a really bad move or should i go ahead?Open Controls-
Why are you ditching Cazorla?
Frankly I think he's the best option off the Arsenal midfield (unless Walcott is nailed on and can remain fit). It's like the general consensus on Cazorla changes on this site everyweek. Madness.Open Controls-
Aye, Cazorla seems to be the main 'victim' of it as well 😕
Saturday morning people were rating the big hitters with Cazorla first, Mata or Silva 2nd and 3rd and Bale 4th. Sunday morning Mata and Silva took over Cazorla, and from the little bit that I read last night now Bale is the favourite 😕Open Controls
-
-
Why ditch Cazorla for a hit?
Open Controls-
-
great fixtures though
Open Controls-
True, but against norwich qpr fulham and villa he didn't get more than 3 points..
Open Controls-
more than RVP in his last two 😉
Open Controls

Even if he did, I don't see the need to ditch him for 4 points. Nice fixtures and has plenty of points to date.
Open Controls

Noticed people on this page are knocking the Caz > Silva transfer...in fairness...if there's one player I'd readily swap Caz for it's Silva. Silva is proven FPL gold. And has the second or third top amount of assists despite playing much less games than anyone else.
Open Controls

What is the total price of your defenders? I have spent 26.7 M on the defenders, average is 5.34 M.. I think I have spent little too much on my defenders.. On an average i am getting 11 points per game from defenders till now..
Open Controls-
Right now - 20.8 😆
Soon to be 21.3.Open Controls -
28.2 including goal keepers...
Open Controls -
I'm planning on making my defence ultra ubersville and just having the most outrageous attack. It will still fail but at least I can stare at my attack and drool.
Open Controls -
35.5 including GK 😯
Open Controls

if we consider ourselves before game week 16
who are players u choose from sunderland and reading for DGW match ?Open Controls -
Play and 3.
Rafael (WHAM)
Baines (ARS)
Sagna (eve)
Gorkss (avl)
Clyne (NOR)
My thinking is Rafael and Baines definitely play and Gorkss is definitely on the bench. Sagna vs. Clyne is a tricky one. SOT are well, SOT and Nor aren't exactly the most free scoring team. But they are good at set pieces and SOT are vulnerable to crosses. Sagna will definitely start, Eve haven't done too much scoring and Gibbs back will tighten Arsenal up. So, go on then, thoughts?Open Controls-
Clyne should play.
Open Controls -
i think i will go with rafael, baines and sagna...
have somewhat the same dilemma..
have clyne, cuellar, mcauley, jose enrique and rafael.. which 3 should start?Open Controls -
I've ditched Rafael to get in Suarez (my last point hit I swear 😉 )...I can see him getting rested for either WHM or rdg for what it's worth, but yeah play him.
I'd probably play Clyne, we won't keep Everton out.Open Controls-
But your lot do well against Everton generally don't they? I am basing this on that ridiculous scoreline at the start of the season a couple of seasons ago

No hope for this bunch, so I'm looking to take a hit! Can't think of replacements though!
Mignolet (QPR) Federici (avl)
Rafael(WHU) Nelsen(sun) Cameron(NEW) Demel* (out of favour) Clichy*(injured)
Fellaini(ARS) Mata(FUL) Cazorla(eve) Routledge(wba) Noble*(Suspended)
RVP(c)(WHU) Suarez(tot) Ba (stk)
1FT 0.4m in the bank and willing to take a -4pt hit.
Shud I do;
A) Clichy+Noble--->Billy Jones/Clyne+Ramires/AJ
B) Demel+Noble---->Billy Jones/Clyne+Puncheon
C) Clichy+Routledge---->Clyne+Sess
D) Any other suggestions...Open Controls -
Play 3
Clyne
Baines
Shorey
Ridgwell
Cuellar
Also, should I get rid of Ba?Open Controls -
Need to pick peopls brains....
Begovic
Baines Rafael Cuellar
Michu cazorla Fellani sterling
Rvp berba ba
Have 2Ft…what shd I do?? Nasri has to go and probably ba (not sure about ba though)
A: ba + Nasri >>> lallana + augero
B Nasri >>> sess..and carry over the FT
C Nasri + ba >>> bale + fletcher....leaning towards this. although a front 3 of rvp berba fletcher doesnt sound good, i cant upgrade ba to tevez since he is rotation risk, suarez is on 4 yellows. any other good striker out there?
D Nasri + ba >>> sess + Defoe.Open Controls-
Seeing quite a few people are selling Michu in order to get Sessegnon. I know they have some nice fixtures and the DG coming up but Michu has been pretty consistent this season.
Is it a must to have Sunderland attacking cover, ie. Fletcher, Sess, AJ?? And how did AJ play over the weekend, did he create many chances?Open Controls

Which of these options would you choose?
A) Enrique, Ramirez, Fletcher (Do tevez to suarez for gw 15)
B) Enrique, Ramirez, Suarez (Keep tevez)
B) Bassong, Sessengon, Suarez
C) Enique, Sessengon, Fletcher (triple SUN for 3 weeks...)
Thanks.Open Controls-
Fail (added the second option without updating the letters for the 3rd and 4th options)
A) Enrique, Ramirez, Fletcher (Do tevez to suarez for gw 15)

D) Enique, Sessengon, Fletcher (triple SUN for 3 weeks…)Open Controls

How is David Silva overrated? He wasn't even considered by VDB for the longest time, then over summer he was involved in the most goals in Euro 2012. GTFO with that crap. He's the heart and soul of Manchester City. They're a different side without him.
Open Controls-
Who said he is overrated?

gents,
Currently I am playing
Baines ARS, Cuellar QPR, Caulker LIV
and benching Gorkss avl and Clyne NOR
However LR's comments above have got me thinking...
Would you play the three I have chosen or perhaps bench Caulker, play Clyne?Open Controls-
Bench Baines and play Clyne. Don't say I didn't warn ya.
Open Controls -
Caulker is playing WBA. But yes, I would play Clyne.
Open Controls -
Toughie between those two..I think we should probably look at CS odds
Open Controls-
Baines will concede...bench the guy who is most likely to concede
Open Controls -
maybe you are right
no access.. anyone got CS on Spurs / SOT ?Open Controls
-
-
Gorkss, Clyne, Cuellar. Everton and Spurs will definitely concede.
Open Controls-
never bench Baines... can you imagine benching him if Everton get a penalty.. I think I would commit FPL suicide
Open Controls -
Everton will definitely concede against an Arsenal side who were held goalless by Villa?

A little puzzle here:
A. Play Oscar (FUL), and do Pienaar+Rafael to AJ/Sess+Enrique for the next GW
B. Play Oscar (FUL), and do Pienaar+Oscar to AJ+Morrison for the next GW
C. Do Oscar to AJ/Sess (QPR) and play him
D. Do Oscar to Silva (wig) and play him
I'm leaning towards C with AJ. Any suggestions?Open Controls -
My H2H tie this week comes down to:
Me: Evans, Mata and Fletcher
Him: Cameron, Cazorla and Berbatov
Who's got the edge here?Open Controls -
