A Gameweek tainted by no less than three 0-0 stalemates still saw several protagonists produce strong statistical shifts. Jordi Gomez and Stephane Sessegnon led the way in our ICT Index rankings and are amongst the players picked out in this week’s Big Numbers, our summary of some of the key stats on show from the weekend’s action…

Only Sterling playing away in my starting XI so hoping for another green arrow 🙂

I have 2FT and £1M in the bank, suggestions please for who to bring in and who should go :-
Jussi McCarthy
Rafael Demel Cameron Cuellar Hughes
Bale Fellaini Michu Cazorla Puncheon
RVP Ba BerbatovOpen Controls -
guys, I think I need a piece of advice.
I am saving transfer now to be able to do 2 FTs before GW15. In the first place I was almost sure to do:
Ivanovic + Saylor ---> JEnrique + Gibbs,
but now I am not so convinced about dropping Ivanovic. Under Benitez, Chelsea may play much more defensively and CSs may come back for them.
So other idea I have now is:
Saylor + Noble (or Maloney) ---> Gibbs + Puncheon
I'd probably get Puncheon anyway, before GW17, after his blank, for one of Noble / Maloney
So what to do before GW15:
A. Ivanovic + Saylor ---> JEnrique + Gibbs
B. Saylor + Noble (or Maloney) ---> Gibbs + Puncheon
??Open Controls-
Chelsea looked tight at the back, and Benitez is historically know to create stronger defensively minded teams. From a Chelsea fan i think we'll keep a few clean sheets but i also believe our defenders attacking threat will be reduced. So Ivanovic/ Luiz etc goal threat should be less.
Open Controls-
I agree with this. Think cheaper chelsea defenders will be the way to go although Ivan and Terry will still be a threat from corners I guess.

B - Saylor has to go. We will find form again at both ends of the pitch, but doubt it will be for a couple more weeks.
Open Controls-
Saylor goes anyway, in both cases

GW 14 :
DDG ( should get a start )
Baines, Rafael, Grokss ( Reither, McCartney )
Johnson, Sterling, Bale, Morrison ( Nolan )
Tevez, Berbatov, Rvp
Any suggestions?Open Controls-
Regardless whether DDG starts, you should loook at other options, cheaper keepers have got considerably more points this season and doubling up on utd def isn't a wise move IMO.
Apart from that it looks good.Open Controls

Lallana or Ramirez? And why if you please.
Open Controls-
Saw the match yesterday and thought Ramirez looked more advanced, running with the ball at defenders... he was a real handful. Think I'd go with him.
Open Controls-
Thank you!
Open Controls -
Ooh, interesting.
Open Controls -
And sorry to see Newcastle in poor form... injuries don´t help either...
Open Controls
-
-
I like Ramirez, plays furthest forward and better player IMO
Open Controls -
Lallana. more advanced than Ramirez according to average positions. Also has corners and some free kicks I believe
Open Controls-
Plus is club captain so should be immune to rotation
Open Controls
-
-
Lallana for me. Proven goals and assists last season for the saints in the championship as well. Also on corners and some FK's. Consistent lad.

Glad to see Benitez is bringing that attacking football to the bridge that Roman desires.
Only 6 shots this weekend (lowest in the league) and only 3 inside the box. Sigh...Open Controls-
Time to sell Mata?
Open Controls -
Vincent Kompany is back to his best.
Open Controls -
It was a pragmatic let's not get beaten performance, 48hrs after he took over the reigns.
Jeez....Open Controls -
Yea...... well, Mata out, Double Chelsea defence anyone? 😉
Open Controls -
Mata is not good. He is playing at the place of Valencia which is not suited to him. I saw all the time that Mata is trying to go into the hole position. He is not a winger. Not look good. Oscar is in more advanced position.
Open Controls -
I guess any team playing city will get few shots though...

How does my team look for this week. Is it worth doing Haz to Silva and then the following week get Suarez in for Tevez?
Bego (McCarthy)
Baines Cameron Cuellar (Davies Hughes)
Fellaini Hazard Bale Puncheon (Sterling)
RVP Tevez BerbaOpen Controls -
Team for mid week is;
Foster
Rafael, Enrique, Ridgewell, Gorkss
Fellaini, Silva(C), Bale
Fletcher, RVP, Berbatov
Jussi, Pienaar, Sterling, Reid
Want to try and not make a sub as made a hit last weekend and want to have 2 FT for next week. Thoughts please 🙂Open Controls -
Have Walcott so won't be doing any transfers until I hear news about him but assuming he's fit:
2FT:
A) Baines ➡ Cameron/Garrido/Shorey
B) Ba ➡ Giroud
C) A and BOpen Controls -

Berbatov at home to Sunderland = 2 points.
Berbatov away to Arsenal = 16 points
RVP at home to QPR = 2 points
RVP away to Chelsea = 12 points
Fixtures mean nothing.Open Controls-
Che vs. City was a bloody cracking game 😀
Open Controls -
This is actually true. However, fixtures allow us to PREDICT who may score more points.
Open Controls-
Is there any actual evidence that proves easy fixtures consistently provide the big point hauls?
Open Controls-
As the good teams consistently score more than the lesser teams and let in fewer than those in the lower echelons; yes indeed.
However, predicting TEAM goals (and of course, getting them right) based on fixtures is not something you can do based on any formula. In addition, FPL managers don't care that much about team goals, we care about PLAYER goals. This makes it even harder to predict.
There has to be correlation between points and fixtures if you consider all players, but that does not mean that any given player will do well in given game.Open Controls

Open Controls -
Do teams win more against stronger teams or weaker teams?
Some has to be scoring when they smash the weaker teams...Open Controls -
Got my own philosophy, big teams do well against big teams and teams they hav good history against, there will usually be 1 upset per week, and smaller teams that play ultra-defensively can beat/draw with big teams......
So fixtures don't usually matter imoOpen Controls

Does anybody wonder Baines (may be someone whoever player from PL) would be looking at this site and seeing what we are talking about him here? May be he is even participating in our discussion with a fake username? 😆
Open Controls -
Got a couple of questions:
1. Is there really a difference with (H) and (A)? Or is it just superstitious?
2. Fellaini, is he worth keeping?
3. With Benitez, anyone getting rid of CHE attacking players? How would you feel about having the probability of CS from them now?Open Controls -
Question please.
Going to do:
- Baines -> Wisdom (I know there's doubts over his injury, but I believe he'll be back)
- Ba -> Suarez
A. Do it now for a hit
B. Wait a week
C. Wildcard
Thanks.
Federici
Cameron - Cuellar - Baines
Pienaar - Sterling - Michu - Silva - Bale
Ba - Van Persie
Jaaskelainen - Berbatov - Jones B - RangelOpen Controls-
Wait a week mate. With fellaini back, set pieces could work well for him and Baines.
I stress COULD.....Open Controls

My faith in Crouch has paid off for another week so it seems. Feel a little wrong keeping him for Newcastle but I have no faith in ouir defence.
Also, Man Utd fans, if Valencia is back Wednesday. Could Young potentially suffer and be moved out for Welbeck/Hernandez?Open Controls-
Young was really bad and cant imagine he'll play alot for a while.
Open Controls-
This is what I'm thinking. May have to waste a transfer to get him out again. Will wait to see what happens with press conferences first though.
Open Controls
-
-
Young is finished IMO. Hernandez may get a chance again with Rooney up front. Nani and Welbeck may start. or may even start without any wingers with Cleverlay Ando Carrick Rooney Hernandez RVP and Fletcher or Scholes
Open Controls -
If you have young get rid. End of.
Open Controls -
Cheers guys, Young out it is then!

i have neither city or sunderland attacking cover this gw and looking at couple options..
1) silva + fletcher?
or
2) sess + tevez?Open Controls-
1)
Open Controls -
2 I reckon, Silva probably best long term but Tevez for this week.
Open Controls-
I agree with you on this. Plus, and this is only my opinion, but Silva looked tired to me at the end of the Chelsea game, did a hell of a lot of running and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he starts on tthe bench for that game.

Having a really disappointing gameweek.
2FT, 0.1 in bank.
What should I do?
Begovic
Baines Rafael Gorkss
Mata Silva Bale Michu
Berba RVP Ba
Foster Puncheon Nelsen DaviesOpen Controls -
Mulling over these options for a whole day:
Begovic (Vorm)
Rafael Cuellar Clyne (Olsson Gorkks)
Bale Cazorla Oscar Michu (Pienaar)
Suarez Tevez Lambert
1 FT, 2.0m in bank
Thinking that Oscar and Pienaar are overdue, thus:
A. Save the transfer, deal with them later
B. Oscar to AJ/Sess/Silva, play him
C. Pienaar to AJ/Sess, play him and bench Oscar
Cheers 😀Open Controls -

Does anybody noticed that Rooney is really a good Cornor taker?

These days, I feel United are becoming more effective on cornors. This is good for J Evans for sure.
Open Controls-
Roonoy is a fantastic cornor taker.

Anyone have an update on Ruddy injury?
currently have Ruddy/ Foster combination so I reckon I'll take out Foster with my 1FT this week.
Any ideas who to bring in though?
Rest of defence is Baines, Cuellar, Huth, Cameron, DemelOpen Controls -
What time do the price hikes take place?
I have exact money for 2 transfers, one involving Puncheon going up, but want to wait on the Walcott news?
Any any idea about the Arsenal presser?Open Controls -
