Just as Paddy drew level, our treble came in. A goal for Luis Suarez, coupled with an assist for David Silva and a City clean sheet in the win over Villa handed us another timely windfall and put us back in the black. Our bookmaker friends in retreat, we missed out on the Flutter last weekend but it returns for the midweek menu, with Paddy looking to prise back our winnings…

First up for Wednesday’s matches, we look to a name that’s been circulating the community for the last 48-hours: Southampton’s Gaston Ramirez. He’s on many a wishlist following a goal and assist return against Newcastle, and we’re willing to back his form with a few quid. Paddy are dangling 15/2 on another Ramirez goal against Norwich, packaged with a second consecutive Southampton cleanie. Ramirez is in fashion and even the Saints back four are playing with some confidence. We’ll take Paddy’s offer for £2 of our tenner.

Sunderland’s Stephane Sessegnon is another name garnering attention following the weekend events. A potential template breaker in midfield, Sessegnon is showing glimpses of last season’s form just in time for the Black Cats’ double fixture in Gameweek 16. After a goal and assist return in the damaging defeat to West Brom, can Sessegnon find the net when Harry’s boys visit the North-East? Paddy are offering 6/1 on a Sessegnon goal with a Sunderland shut-out against QPR. Again, we’ll chuck a couple of quid at this, with Sessegnon there or thereabouts for the Picks for the Gameweek.

Villa’s Christian Benteke is another player we’ve got a lot of time for: he’s proved integral to Villa’s threat in recent weeks and is certain to trouble Reading’s faltering back line tomorrow evening. Paul Lambert’s side are far from prolific, but we fancy them to break the shackles against the Royals and, with Paddy offering 4/1 on a Benteke goal with a Villa clean sheet, we’ll take that for £3 of our hard earned.

That leaves a handsome £3 left for the treble – having won out on this the last time around, we’re going into this one with confidence. Paddy have 10/1 on a Robin Van Persie goal against West Ham, a Juan Mata assist when Chelsea face Fulham and a Stoke clean sheet against the wounded Magpies.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    I don't think anyone has taken as my point hits as i have this season. It is my first year and I went totally berserk. I thought everyone took hits because its fun. Learned my lesson after coming here.

        Heh. The thing was I started the season with no Manutd, Chelsea or Tottenham players because I am an Arsenal fan and from then on, it went downhill. Still, RVP captain is my main differential in my mini-league. There's hope yet. Thinking about ditching Rafael for Nastasic next gameweek though.

        Nothing breathtaking, I went through with Ba to Defoe. Defoe's a proven goalscorer and it seems like he'll play even when Ade is available (unless its a particularly tough away game like City). Could be on penalties too.

          Excellent news. I've this far managed to discard Giroud from the options, but I think I might just have to sleep on it and let Ba drop tonight.

          Defoe is the one I'm leaning towards but stupid Fletcher has some appeal still and Tevez is good but expensive.

    Anyone care to give me a suggestion for bench and captain please?? - I'm leaning towards benching Berbatov because I think Fulham are missing some important players and Chelsea will be ultra solid.

    Also leaning towards captaining RVP but very unsure. Was hoping Rooney might drap back given Scholes suspension but it looks like Anderson will play. Could I captain Crouch??

    Bego
    Cameron/Ceullar/Baines (Baird, Demel)
    Sterling/Fell/Mata/Bale/Santi
    Crouch/RVP (Berbs)

    Erm, I've also 1 FT and 0.9 in the bank but can't really see any value in using them right now. Am open to suggestions though.

      Demel > someone. Reading for the DGW or Dawson for a potentially awesome punt.

      Just to use a transfer productively through.

      it looks like Demel might not be nailed on plus you can't play a West Ham defender for another 5-6 weeks minimum given their run so get him out.

          He's a frustrating player to own - I found so too.

          Walcott might of course play, it's just that I did some quick research earlier and basically there's nothing on his situation which doesn't look good to me as the last time we knew anything he was injured.

    Some advice: thinking of a player to replace Valencia... was thinking sessegnon

    My team:
    Begovic (Federici)
    Shawcross, , Gorkss,Obrien (Demel, Williansom)
    Mata,Puncheon,Santi, Fellaini, (Valencia)
    Vanp, Suraez,Fletcher

    Valencia - sessegnon!?? I have a good team, but might as well get rid of valencia now and get sessegnon in early for double game week.. Or is there another player to consider!?

      If you did that, who would you play Sessegnon instead of? Puncheon? Not gaining too much though?

      Maybe could do something with your defence instead? Is O'Brien with West Ham?

        I would probably leave santi on the bench because hes on and off at times.... everton arsenal would probab be close game...

        puncheon is tempting, since norwich are a rock at the back atm.

        Obrien is on form a goal and assit last two games. gorkss has double game week coming up and shawcross and begovic are bringing those clean sheets. I think my defence is ok atm..

    Really struggling this week - which route do you think is best?

    (A)
    GW14: Save
    GW15: Baines & Ba -> Enrique & Suarez

    (B)
    GW14: Fellaini -> Puncheon
    GW15: Michu & Ba -> Walcott & Suarez (4 point hit)

    (C)
    GW14: Taarabt -> Puncheon
    GW15: Ba -> Suarez

    I'd obviously rather lose Taarabt than Baines/Fellaini/Michu, but Puncheon just doesn't rotate at all with Fellaini or Michu, meaning I'd likely bench Puncheon every week, which makes getting him a little pointless. On the other hand, Puncheon rotates perfectly with Taarabt. In addition, I'd quite like some Arsenal cover from GW15, which is drawing me towards (B), since this is very difficult if I go with either of the other 2 options! Help!

      Not being able to rotate Fellaini/Michu with Puncheon isn't a big issue.

        The 2 big issues I have with (C) are:

        i) I wouldn't start Puncheon in a single GW, i.e. a wasted transfer?
        ii) It's very difficult to get Arsenal cover this way, and I think it's essential to have some with their fixtures.

        It's probably against the majority on here, but I'm currently on B), although I may save this week and do all 3 next week, depending on Michu/Suarez yellow card situation.

          Its not really a wasted transfer since it finances Suarez. Over the busy period there will be a time when Puncheon comes off your bench for someone so you will get some use. Injuries/suspensions could also bring Puncheon in.

              I was against keeping Baines but the Scoutcast, some decent posts on here and Everton's last game have convinced me otherwise.

              Fellaini is a keeper.
