For those Fantasy managers who took part in last weekend’s Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII Third Round, a link to the results can be found here.

This includes the exit of Mark, whose dreams of silverware ended after he lost out in a duel with The Shadow. World number three Iyad Zahlan is the highest ranked remaining Fantasy manager left – he scraped through 36-34 last time out in what was a low scoring round for many.

A quick heads-up for the 128 who have made it through this far. The next round will be played this weekend (Gameweek 15). The upcoming Gameweek 14 round of fixtures which starts this evening will not contribute towards your chances of Scout Cup progress. We are currently sorting the draw for the next round behind the scenes and will roll this out on Thursday morning.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Team for this GW

    Begovic
    Clyne, Cuellar, Baines
    Mata, Fellaini, Michu, Bale
    Fletcher, Giroud, RVP

    Foster, McAnuff, McCartney, Saylor

Who do u guys reckon is the best captaincy option if u weren't giving it to RVP?

wow, this is an awful transfer story. i can understand making one up if there's a particular weakness in a squad that a player might be able to fill, but utd don't need him, Taarabt is nowhere near good enough, doesn't work hard enough, and isn't a winger. very odd!

he's got good ball control but no end product + no consistency, makes bad decisions, bad discipline record and a handful to manage despite only scoring 2 goals last season. there's no 'project' there for fergie I'm afraid.

23 goals in 2010 for qpr. he is a sublime talent but agree lacks discipline. certainly better than young and cleverly imo. if he can be rightly guided under right manager he can become amazing. only 23 aswell

Guys need help please with this. Current team :

    Jussi
    Huth Cuellar Baines
    Cazorla Fellaini Bale Michu Taraabt
    Fletcher Rvp (c)
    Bench - Ba, Clark, Nelsen,foster

    Now my dilemmas
    a) do I play Ba and if yes who for
    b) transfer Ba out for someone else 1 transfer
    c) Ba > Tevez would mean downgrading elsewhere 2 transfers
    d) Foster out as 1 transfer
    e) Stick with what I've got

Hasn't this season been quite stagnant in terms of new players coming into the reckoning and breaking the template up.
Mark was has been hinting the same last few weeks in the Scoutcast/Preamble,he however, has been more specific about the mids playing "in the hole".
Whereas I am talking more in general.
Having played the wild card so early, this is about time I would be looking to make wholesale changes, looking at 1 or 2 hits may be but it hasn't been anything like it this season.Apart from 1 or 2 players that I don't have there isn't a whole lot I am looking at atm.
    Thoughts.

    these with Begovic / Foster:

Keeping Foster and playing Bego in all upcoming games - tbh, they're not so easy ones, or dropping him? If a replacement, who is the best option to roatate well with Begovic?

I am keeping, because I have more pressing matters elsewhere in my team. I think I'd be happy with Begovic against NEW wba avl.
If I were to change, i think it would be short term and I would bring back in Foster when fit. Two obvius option to me are
Myhill: NEW STO avl WHM NOR qpr/LIV SOU
Tremell: WBA/NEW wba NOR EVE LIV/rdg SOU

my thoughts exactly.. i'm in a small predicament of being priced out though so may use my FT for Demel to Wisdom this week(and bench him), cause when Demel falls i wont be able to afford Suarez and him.. Got exactly enough for Ba and Demel OUT and Wisdom and Suarez IN

    Chaps,

I have 2 x FTs and £0.3 in the Bank. What shall I do with this team?

    Begovic (Foster)

    Baines, Cuellar, Cameron, (Demel), (Clyne)

    Bale, Mata, Cazorla, Sterling, (Morrison)

    RVP, Berba, Jelavic

Is it time to downgrade Baines? If so, for who?

If I downgrade Baines I would like to upgrade Jelly. if so for who? Suarez/Tevez/Aguero?

    Thanks!

Jelly to tevez/suarez/aguero depending on who you prefer, I would favour Aguero. Downgrade Mata to fund this. Plenty of options at that price for midfielders.

The big question for me is how much Mata is going to get at home to Fulham. Yes, it's only one game against City, but the big feature for me was that Rafa was playing much more of a 4-4-1-1 than 4-2-3-1. The wingers were hazard and Mata, they were deeper and wider and had defensive responsibilities. You could see the passing suffered from the number of crossfield long balls they hit to each other.

How did the wingers do at Liverpool under Rafa? Given we were talking defensive workhorses like Dirk Kuyt with only the odd goal, not all that well right?

The wide positions were the only ones he never got right with us. Yes he does expect more defensive discipline from them, something babel struggled with but kuyt was perfect for.
Mata is class though and fulham are very leaky. I'm confident of a haul

    Bale, Cazorla, Sterling, Silva
    Suarez(vc), RVP(c),Berbatov

    Mannone, Fonte, Britton, Barnett.

starting line up and subs in right order?

tempted by Fonte for Rafael as im worried about a 1 point cameo if he is rested...

just worried that 5 of my players are involved in a single game. however if its 0-0 itll be 20 points, and if there are goals, suarez and bale will be involved in them.

    score prediction time:

    SOT vs nor?
    SUN vs qpr?
    VILLA vs reading?

    I think:

    3-2
    1-1
    1-1

Maybe I'm over thinking here, but I assume that players will be tired and so there will be lesser goals.
Of course, that could also mean that the defence will be more leaky, but I guess defenders need to run lesser than the attackers.

      Is my logic completely crap?

Pretty much. But more fatigue for the attackers. Hence lesser goals?

could be right although teams like liverpool who have to play suarez and sterling all the time will suffer and thinking about it, chelsea as well with only torres

whereas man city/man utd have 4 strikers to rotate so on that logic, i predict liverpool and chelsea to have a bad gw if you see my point

All massive games, wouldn't bet on any of them. The final one could have plenty of goals I reckon.

    Begovic
    Rafael Baines Cuellar
    Silva Mata Bale Fellaini
    Ba Berba RVP

Good to go? Thinking i may aswell save the transfer as i want Suarez next week if he avoids another yellow. Berba and Ba aren't ideal this week, would love Fletcher but Berba has 2 home games after this.
