For those Fantasy managers who took part in last weekend’s Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII Third Round, a link to the results can be found here.

This includes the exit of Mark, whose dreams of silverware ended after he lost out in a duel with The Shadow. World number three Iyad Zahlan is the highest ranked remaining Fantasy manager left – he scraped through 36-34 last time out in what was a low scoring round for many.

A quick heads-up for the 128 who have made it through this far. The next round will be played this weekend (Gameweek 15). The upcoming Gameweek 14 round of fixtures which starts this evening will not contribute towards your chances of Scout Cup progress. We are currently sorting the draw for the next round behind the scenes and will roll this out on Thursday morning.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

It's job is to show the spread of captains across the site. There is no point representing every unique captain choice. The uber players are much more reliable captain choices. I do fancy Ramirez to do well though 🙂

When are the scout picks out? The sooner the better so that we have plenty of time to sell any players we have that are in there.

Valencia played 0 minutes, therefore the benched midfielder comes in for 42. Without a captain too. For shame Fantasy-er, you got beaten by the so called horrible Scouts.

Am I missing something here? their first sub was Boyce....

It's not based around bench order, it's based on picking each position. They don't have 1st, 2nd and 3rd subs, and even if they did. They got 37 with no captain. FOR SHAME FANTASY-ER.

Wow, probably the most difficult week to decide what players to play & bench

    BEGOVIC (Jaask)
    CAMERON CUELLAR CLYNE BAINES (demel)
    PUNCHEON silva MICHU cazorla MATA
    tevez RVP berbatov

    Capitals = home (definite bench)

Can’t decide who to bench, Baines home v Arsenal, Berbs away at Chelsea?
    Play Puncheon? Clyne?

One thing to console people who reckon they made transfer mistakes this month (ie. all of us). It is true that we remember failure far more than success. There are many good decisions you made that paid off, just not in the first week. But you remember only the bad points from the first week.

Example: I had to choose between losing Cazorla and Bale for Arsenal v Spurs. I lost Cazorla. Lost first week, worked out now.

Another example: I kept Lambert through four goalless weeks and winced every time. Then Cork came back to help Southampton's midfield. Finally he got an assist, then a goal, and despite an unlucky blank this week he looks good value going forward.

Points on the bench is annoying but at least you've got some form players to bring in whose prices are probably going to go up as well.

        Agree.

Points on the bench should be viewed positively, you can only play 11 and if your bench is scoring too then that's a sign of a good squad.

Also, they will increase in value and will help buy better first 11 players in the future.

You will do at some point. We are restricted by the fact that we have to bench one of our front 8. So why not use that to our advantage and turn it into a rotating pair. That is potentially a 4.5m saving to turn into points in another area of the team!

1 of the front 7 is always going to be suspended/rested/minor injury.

e.g. mata's blank is covered by Sterling AVL very nicely

but i do like the rotating pair idea and often use it myself but not this season... only in defence
