We’re now down to the final 32 as we roll out the sixth round draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII. The fixtures take place over the upcoming Gameweek 17 and we have four of the top 1,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers still in with a shout of the silverware.

World number three Iyad Zahlan remains our leading contender – he’s up against El Pieman, who sits in 1,178th position. Elsewhere, JMS, who is currently 203rd overall, MileHigh – in 437th position – and HongKong TractorBoys, who has moved up to 567th spot, are the three other big scalps on the line this weekend.

    Mornin all!
Thought I'd listen to some pieces of advice regarding my team
    Bego-tremmel
    Enrique-fonte-cuellar-ridgewell-demel
    Bale-sterling-fellaini-michu-silva
    Fletch-rvP-berba

1)i have 1FT and 3.5mill in the bank. Most important transfer should be FlEtcher--->Suarez?
2)play fellaini or sterling this week?
Cheers all. Any advice is much appreciated.

Be a bit wary cos Suarez has 0/4 and Villa defence much improved. Fellaini.

I'm lookin at Suarez as a long term prospect. Mate it's ANFIELD we're talking abt here! I feel , even tho Villa's defence has improved, that they will concede a few this week, and Suarez will take part.
As for Sterling vs Fellaini, do u rly see Fellaini outscoring Raheem this week?

Slightly. Will be tough away to Stoke but Raheem isn't hitting the FF hotspots is he? I know Anfield well, I've been.

OK. I realise people disagree but if you were in my position would you take a hit to be sure of fielding 11 or take the risk of hoping at least 1 of enrique. sterling start?

I'd have to sell one of sterling, puncheon, enrique or clyne and i'm not sure a clyne-cheapie transfer is worth a transfer regardless of fielding 11 this week, given the proximity of wildcard

Enrique needs to play for me to field 11. If he doesn't, I'm not sure Mata to Bale is worth a hit. Besides, I'm definitely looking to get Mata back as soon as possible if I do decide to hit it.

isn't bale an injury risk too? If you're trying to field 11 I'd say you want someone guaranteed a start. And preferably not selling a player you want the next gw!

That is why, at this point, I need a solid evidence to suggest that he's really fit to start in order to take the hit. AVB has said there is a strong possibility Bale may start against Swansea, which is why I'm seriously considering the move.

... And Bale is a guaranteed starter when fit. 😉

No reason why sterling won't play. No comments from the manager or the player. He's had one week to rest up. He's one of our main attacking threats and Liverpool needs points from these winnable games in the run up to the Man utd game.

Barring any injury before the game, I don't see sterling not playing some part in the game.

Am stuck on a transfer...my team is
    begovic (mannone)
    rafael enrique demel (davies cueller)
    michu fellaini cazorla sterling (sess)
    rvp berb fletcher

Have 1FT and 4m. My defense is pretty crap this week but i wont waste a FT on defense as my cheap def will have decent games next week i.e. demel, davies, cueller. So i am planning to transfer out either fletch or sess.

    Scenario A:
i do fletch >> suarez leaving me with 0.6m in the bank to do. i will keep sess for next week as they play shampton but will upgrade mannone >> foster (if fit). The following week i can do sess >> lennon/nolan.

    Pros:
    suarez coverage..
suarez ownership is soo high, if he has a good week, it will put me a back alot..so its the safer option

    Cons:
i wont have any spurs/chel/city coverage which could be disasterous

    Scenario B:
I do fletch >> defoe this week, leaving me with the cash to sess >> silva/mata/bale next week.

    Pros:
i will be gettin spurs coverage for their great fix, can get either city or chel bighitter and will still have sterling/enrique if lpool have a good game

    Cons:
no suarez and his high ownership

    THoughts

I'd go with Defoe. Bale already has 4 yellow cards so even if he returns, he might get banned for a game. Thus, Tottenham will look towards Defoe into scoring the goals. Also, if Bale gets banned for a week, I'm sure his price will decrease by at least 0.1/0.2 (like what happened to Suarez) so you could get him for even cheaper later on.

Enrique to Caulker for their easy fixtures or
Enrique to Nelson to put some money in the bank.

    Al-Habsi (Ruddy)
    Rafael, Enrique, Wilkinson (Demel, Cueller)
    Santi, Michu, Fellaini, Sterling (Puncheon)

Planning to take out fletch + sess over the next 2 gameweeks. what combo is better
    A: lennon + suarez
    B: mata + defoe

Its such a tough call. I am leaning towards B as going for A will leave me with no players for city and chel. But since everyone has suarez, if he explodes, it will put me back a lot

What's this 'bib theroy'? Certain players were wearing bibs in training as the gaffer wanted the starting team to train together before the match?

Possible, but you also have to consider that his team selection isn't decided yet. Certain players' performances in training and the fitness of certain players will be assessed before deciding the starting 11. To suggest he knows his team 100% 2 days before the game is unlikely.

Bib theory has been very correct this season. Obviously he doesn't want to rush players back after injury unless 100%. Been happening all season. Sticks to a game plan earlier than other sides.

Hoped Wisdom was there instead of Downing.

Whats the status on Enrique? I have Walcott Bale and Enrique. With Puncheon on the bench I might play with 10 players if all three doesn't play tomorrow.

    Bego (Cerny)
    Rafael Enrique Cameron (Cuellar Demel)
    Bale Michu Fellaini Walcott (Puncheon)
    RVP Suarez Berba

    RMT?

Wait and see. We'll hopefully hear something tomorrow. If not, he might be subject to a late fitness test, in which case he'll surely be fit for the next gameweek.

I wouldn't sell unless you were planning on it anyway. Enrique > GJ is an option but it could turn out to be a wasted transfer.

Starting the gameweek with 10-men is definitely NOT cool at all. Enrique to Johnson for a FT may work out and justify your reasons for doing so but for a hit? Now, that's an important point worth discussing. 😆

    Hi chaps,

Been offline for a few days - have I missed any news that'll affect my team this week? Thinking of Fletcher -> Suarez this week with my freebie to give me:

    Jaask, (Federici)
    Enrique, Hughes, McCartney, (Cuellar), (Clyne)
    Silva, Walcott, Fellaini, Taarabt, (Sessegnon)
    RVP(c), Ba, Suarez(v)

According to the Bib theory, Enrique is not expected to start. You just might have enough to field an eleven if you decide to do Fletcher to Suarez. Or you could reduce the risk by using that freebie on the absentees. 😉

Any thoughts as to what the Spurs preferred back four will be with BAE back in contention? I bought in Caulker recently and am now regretting it...

Walker Caulker Vert BAE should be the first choice back 4, but Caulker may face some rotation with Gallas/Dawson over christmas.

well a transfer in itself is worth about 4 points so that is a 'goal' right there .
Plus most of the players who would be brought in for him are more expensive so it isn't as simple as who scores more points.

Plus I don't think it's true that sunderland won't score any goals. Sure they might get beaten but they'll score the odd goal or two and he is a) nailed on and b) always involved.

i realise many people disagree, just wondering if I'm the only one keeping.

He needs to sacrifice one of his strikers to do so. Like Lateriser said, Silva is a good differential but a Kun/Tevez is the way to go.

Team for the week, 1FT, 1.0 in bank:

    Bunn
    GJ Olsson Cameron Shorey
    Cazorla Fellaini Michu
    RVP (c) Aguero Suarez (vc)

    Subs: Mig; R-K Cuellar (Puncheon)

    Options for the week:
    A) Mig -> Reina (and play Reina to double on Liverpool defence)
    B) Cazorla -> Bale (if fit)
    C) Save transfer

I'd be bizarrely tempted by B if Bale were to be confirmed fit. Any thoughts?
