We’re now down to the final 32 as we roll out the sixth round draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII. The fixtures take place over the upcoming Gameweek 17 and we have four of the top 1,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers still in with a shout of the silverware.

World number three Iyad Zahlan remains our leading contender – he’s up against El Pieman, who sits in 1,178th position. Elsewhere, JMS, who is currently 203rd overall, MileHigh – in 437th position – and HongKong TractorBoys, who has moved up to 567th spot, are the three other big scalps on the line this weekend.

    Bego / Tremmel
    Rafael / Enrique / Shorey / Nelsen / Jones
    Santi / Michu / Fellaini / Lallana / Sterling
    RVP / Rooney / Suarez

How to save £1.5m from this lot?

    Thanks 🙂

There is no way I am ditching a first choice attacking defender for Man Utd when I've had him from the start.

A Man Utd defender, -bad defence, less likely to keep clean sheets, gets forward, good fixtures
              vs
A Liverpool defender, -Soled defence, more likely to keep clean sheets, gets forward, coupl play on the wing, brilliant fixtures, cheaper.

At most Enrique will miss one game (probably) so that shouldn't be that muchof a deciding point.

For me Rafael is cheaper than Enrique. His attacking threat far exceeds that of Enrique and the Utd defence will pick up soon imo.

Im sure everybody was saying it would pick up a month or so ago. Attacking threat does not exceed Enrique's, Enrique plays just in behind Suarez even while in LB, and may play LW

Have Fellaini, Walcott, Michu, Silva and Sterling and want to get in Bale when fit.

Can't affort Sterling to Bale and would be a waste to have one of the other as bench fodder.

So the least consistent here seems to be Walcott as he doesen't seem nailed and is injured all the time. Despite of beein explosive now and then.

Do you agree or should I rather get out Silva for Bale?

    Scenario A::
hmmm, is suarez really a must have??
Thinking of upgrading fletch to suarez but then i will only have a 8.1m to spend when taking out sess. In this case, i will get suarez in this gw and take out sess only in gw19 as i will play sess next gw against shampton.

The problem with this scenario is i wont have any spurs/chel/city coverage next week and they play stoke/avl/reading at home so thats a problem.

    Scenario B:
I upgrade fletch >> defoe which is decent for spurs coverage... and next week i can upgrade sess >> mata or silva. The good thing with this strategy is i will get a more balanced team but wont have suarez who could potentially explode and since his ownership is soo high, can have a detrimental effect.

    Thoughts?

He is arguably the most nailed on striker in the game i think.
Dont need to go into details about his ability.
Can be very frustrating though when he goes on his temper tantrums and gets booked, for that 1 pointer.

Some help plse guys. Do I get rid of Ridgewell for a 4 point hit for this gw. I have no other defenders and have transferred Suarez in this gw already.

    Beg jussi
    Ridgewell clyne ivan nelsen cuellar
    nolan carzola sterling michu fellaini
    lambert rvp suarez

Does not look like Ridgewell will play this week. If i get rid who should I get at similiar value. Clyne Lambert Ivan all out

Who would people say are "crucial" players over the Christmas period when imo having a full compliment of 15 players is essential given rotation and the turnaround of fixtures.

I would go with Suarez/ Berb / Michu / Fellani as they are nailed on,also Gibbs given arses fixtures, and bale if fit.

Most of the strikers we all have are fairly nailed on. It'd be wise to focus attention to midfield and defense to shore up the nailed on ness in those areas.

Even Rooney missed a few games last year around this time. I'd say they are just as nailed on as each other. Still worth having one of them though for the fixtures.

The starters and reserves wear different coloured bibs when they train, and from that you can work out the likely starting lineup. See below. Allen is obviously a starter and he's wearing an orange bib, whereas Sterling is wearing a green one, indicating he'll be a reserve tomorrow.

Enrique didn't train yesterday, so not sure that the bib theory is relevant here. But the fact he didn't train is not a good sign.

    Demel/Enrique/Davies (Cuellar/Gorkss)
    Nolan/Fellaini/Michu/Sterling (Mata)
    RVP (c)/Suarez/Giroud

I was just going to swap a defender (probably Gorkss) but now all this bib business has got me doubting Sterling will start, plus injury concerns over Enrique and Giroud... this GW is already a disaster.
