    For drafting my own WC team for GW25 I ended up compiling a budget defender roster classified bu various factors of interest. Might as well share it, hope you find it useful too. It covers virtually every plausible option so it's obviously quite long. It's sorted by price so you can just chop off the portion beyond your budget. Use at your own risk 😉

    CS DISTRIBUTION
    Swansea and Wigan keep considerably more CS away than at home.
    Sunderland, QPR and Spurs are about level.
    The teams that keep more CS at home than away, in order of number of home CS, are Liverpool (7), Stoke (5), Norwich (5), West Brom (5), Villa (4), West Ham (3), Reading (3), Newcastle (3), Fulham (3), Southampton (2).

          Could be some good value there, I don't know how long Cuellar is injured. Have a horrible feeling Mangane was signed to cover for him so presumably a while. Dawson's 4 starts in 4 are getting harder to explain as a temporary measure... might have to seriously look at him.

            hmm maybe i should reconsider cueller then.... odd that there's no predicted return date. have they made any sort of statement or announcement about his injury?

            thing is i can sell for 4.5 but his current price is 4.6 and right now my wc draft has 0.0 in the bank so i'd have to hope he drops again if i want him back

            yeah that's what i'm thinking, esp since he started against united! given my budget constraints i'm thinking i might as well go for him and hope he's nailed on. otherwise it's martin or clyne for me i recon

              Martin I think could be a good pick but yes it seems premature to call him nailed on.

              Dawson looks worth a go. I advised a friend to get Caulker and even though he played less than 50% of time, he wasn't subbed on being a CB. It worked out.

    How the going everyone, a cracking night, dinner with friends, best lasagna for many long year, ice cold Becks, a few bottles of of top quality malt whisky, and a number of lovely but clumsy looking cigs, just home to find Suarez, RVP and Mata, deliver max baps. Does this make me happy, I have a hunch it does! Hope ye all had a feast of pts, I mean that sincerely. my lowest gw rank, first week, 1,167,431 which included Michu on the bench was horrible, now have achieve my highest rank ever 8,205, and tbh I am delighted. If this appears boastful, believe me it ain't, I have always been pleased for those that have done well, and am going to enjoy my personal best achievement. Its what its all about imo. Brought plent of beers home, so intend to enjoy all your posts, Sorry for the drunken ramble guys ah sod it I'm not really, life's about living, something I'm a dab hand at! 😉 Oh and QPR are magic to me, word of advice fall in lovewith a woman, never with a football club.

      Just Remember, Torres is still playing like a youth academy player and i can't see him being rise from that. Ba is almost nailed on to play every match, maybe it will be 60 mins + or -. But the ultimate factor is that he will get you more points. 🙂

      If I was a Chelsea fan, believe that will never happen 😉 I would be fuming, so simple ditch Torres, spend on a quality front man. When Chelsea had success they had Kalou, Anelka and Drogba. Ba is quality, however they need a guy that can make clever runs, Cavani, Falco etc.

    Turner, Davies, O’Brien and Wilson rotate well (although I might have to reconsider after reading Isacki's excellent post). It’s a bit of a worry that I’m doubled up on Norwich and Stoke’s defences, should I downgrade Marv and upgrade Bunn to Fed? Any other suggestions? Cheers.

      Hmmm doubling on stoke could actually be a masterstroke, doubling on Norwich, maybe not. Yep I would look to upgrade Bunn to Fed, even if it were only to make sure you have a backup keeper beyond March when ruddy returns. Thinking of marv to guthrie2?

    **JUST FOR 2 GW**

    So would you guys go with...

    a) Power 5 (and lose value of Puncheon)
    b) (Mata Wally Michu) + Bale + Lambert
    c) (Mata Wally Michu) + Fellaini + Lambert

    Regardless the decision, I will be switching back to 3-4-3 in GW 26 - with no Fellaini in mid, but Sturridge in 3rd striker.

    If I go with a), I can't afford Puncheon as my 5th mid later on in GW 26 and on. Will have to settle with Marveux.

      But it might be a good thing to invest some decent defense as teams are usually tighter at the back during the second half of the season. Especially top ones. But Arsenal is an exception.

    4) Baines, all 4.0 ish defenders, Walcott, Aguero
    5) Zab, Raf, 4.0 defender, Walcott, Aguero

        To combine 3 and 5 (Walcott, Aguero, and Sturridge) it would mean giving up RVP, Mata, Fellaini, Michu, or Bale.

        So assuming I shouldn't give one of them up it means picking 2 of Walcott, Aguero, and Sturridge unfortunately.
