As we close on a century of episodes it was time to freshen things up and bring new voices to accompany my drone and that of grumpy Granville. In this weeks’ episode, we draft in both “Professor” Chris Atkinson and his “Rate My Team” computer, plus long-time community member and contributor, Jonty, for a new ScoutCast regular.

Don’t worry, the usual format remains intact although, having recorded this just minutes after last night’s whistles, Granville escapes the usual mini-league grilling. Not surprisingly, there’s plenty of “Granny’s miffed” to endure, plus “All Aboard” and the weekend preview. That’s’ rounded off by the “Full Jonty” a brand new feature that will bring you, the community, into our weekly ramblings.

Have a listen then get involved by mailing jonty@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk

Too many people here are thinking about shipping out Aguero and a 3rd striker to get Suarez and Sturidge for the double gameweek. Don't do it! Not only does it create a dilemma with players not playing the following week, but City have Southhamption gameweek 26 so it would be wise to keep him. Aguero has the potential to get just as many points against this fixture than Suarez against both WBA and Swans. Both of these teams have had great defense at different points this year. WBA was good and Swans currently great.

Think of my front 3 of Rooney(Everton), Aguero(Southhamption), and Sturidge(WBA, Swansea). It's going to be epic!

prefer Aguero to Rooney, Rooney to much at risk of rotation and playing in mf. City not in Eurpoe, plus Aguero gives you an alternative captain option when united have poor fixture.

I agree. People are too harsh on Aguero. City will attempt to get into the title race and close the gap (they have far too much skill not too) and their main man Aguero will be instrumental in them doing that. The guy has a freakish skillset

Transfer window spending for 2013, 2012 and 2011. This year's was much busier than last year but similar to two years ago. Deadline day business is slow so far though.

They reckon the UEFA financial fair play reporting has something to do with it.

Apparently David Villa was in London to have dinner with Odemwingie and learn a few tricks which Peter had.

Having saved my Jan WC until now to deal with deadline day signings I certainly hope they do! Not that anything exciting looks like happening. I hope Vorm leaves. And I might get Samba.

About 2 each, although that number rises to 6 if they are personal aquaintances of Owen

Famous last words when dealing with Arsenal but I reckon we will get another transfer through the door in addition to Monreal. Won't necessarily become known before the deadline. Remember a couple of years ago when several notable transfers came through in the early hours of the morning?

we need a defensive midfielder and centre back - a replacement for Gibbs, who is a decent left back, has resolved very little.

Yep, but in the short term it's been essential. Long term it might even be necessary because Gibbs is so injury prone.

Diame and this Sakho guy would do me fine - not that I'm hopeful of getting both.
