Fears over certain new boys’ starting roles prevented us handing places to the likes of Chris Samba and Lewis Holtby in this week’s article. Instead, we tread a path less risky and roll out three overlooked forwards with game time guaranteed and favourable home ties on their respective agendas this weekend.

Loic Remy

QPR’s record buy made an instant impact on his debut, notching within 15 minutes in a 1-1 draw at West Ham in Gameweek 23. Shackled by City’s backline on his first appearance in front of the Loftus Road faithful in midweek, Remy will be looking to return to goalscoring ways as Norwich roll up to Loftus Road tomorrow.

Harry Redknapp’s side are now unbeaten in four and with home draws against Spurs and City, the R’s will be confident of overcoming a Canaries side that have conceded in 10 of the last 11 Gameweeks. Handed the role of the lone striker in a 4-2-3-1 with Adel Taarabt pulling the strings behind him, Remy has played every minute of his two matches so far and offers guaranteed game time and a security of starts that could well see him prosper this weekend and beyond.

The Loftus Road outfit have six enticing looking fixtures in the following seven Gameweeks (swa, sou, SUN, avl, ful, WIG) which certainly bode well for their chances of survival and affords plenty reason for optimism. Priced 6.0 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL) and 8.0 in the Sky Sports game, Remy has the potential to prove a mid-price bargain as Redknapp turns to the former Marseille man to fire his side out the drop zone.

Victor Anichebe

So often a peripheral figure at Goodison, the Nigerian has enjoyed a recent run of games which affords Fantasy managers with an intriguing budget option to consider. Mainly utilised on the right due to a recent injury to Kevin Mirallas, the versatile Anichebe was shifted to the lone forward role last Wednesday as David Moyes dropped the off-form Nikica Jelavic to the bench.

An assist in the 2-1 triumph over West Brom maintained a run of form which has now harvested attacking returns in five of the last seven Gameweeks, with four bonus points also thrown in for good measure across that period. Priced at a mere 4.3 in FPL and 6.8 in the Sky Sports game, and with an ownership under 2% in FPL, Anichebe now welcomes Villa to Merseyside tomorrow. Given the game time, he is clearly capable of producing and looks superb value against an out-of-sorts side that have conceded two or more in all but one of their last seven.

Franco Di Santo

The departure of Arouna Kone to the African Cup of Nations has considerably boosted the Argentine’s appeal of late. Moved into the lone forward role vacated by the Ivorian, Di Santo has flourished – scoring in two of the last three, with a couple of bonus points also accrued.

Roberto Martinez’s side welcome Southampton to the DW tomorrow and, from an attacking perspective at least, are starting to finding their form – Tuesday’s 2-2 draw at Stoke meant Wigan have notched twice in back-to-back matches for the first time since Gameweek 3. With an upturn in offensive threat, the Latics will be confident of seeing off the Saints and Di Santo, at just 5.3 in FPL and 7.5 in the Sky Sports game, could appeal to those looking for a real short-term differential gamble, with Kone’s return from international duties later this month likely to see Di Santo move back out wide.

    Bego Bunn
    Baines Davies Harte Demel Onuhoa

Will do Baines - > G.J. for the double, then upgrade Demel to Nastasic/Clichy. Hate that I have to plan transfer on WC, but think it has to be this way with DGW.

I have been doing pretty well in the past 6 weeks. that's why I have managed to keep my WC until the last GW. 62k to 8k 6 weeks, thank you all who gave me all the advises! 😀
What do you think for this WC team?

    WC team:
    Mignolet
    Demel Davies Enrique
    Michu Mata Walcott Fellaini Bale
    RVP Suarez

    Bunn Sturridge Pearce Clyne
    0.0 in bank.

*I will have Sturridge, Enrique, Davies, Suarez, Michu for DGW.
*Save a transfer on DGW then transfer two players on the blank GW.

    Any improvement needed?

Yes. You've got two outfield LFC players whilst they are away to the champions. Standard result, 2-0 City, then you're hoping for a big score elsewhere. Weak defence, template midfield with zero differential.

I get that it's irritating to field all these questions about the captaincy, but can we stop with the whole, "there is a captain poll" thing? That poll reflects (a) the players most people have on their team and (b) the views of the entire ffs community, not the regular posters. It is perfectly legitimate to want the views of regular, trusted posters on not only the captaincy generally, but which of the players in a given person's team should get the armband. We all know RVP will be at the top. If we want to go a little off the beaten track we might want to consider other player in our team. If so, we might want to know what the wise heads on this site think of OUR SPECIFIC options as opposed to those reflected in the options available to the whole community (which is what the captain poll represents). If you don't want to answer, don't. But enough with the snide "there is a poll" stuff.

    Current team:
    begovic (jask)
    zabaletta, Davies, Gibbs (Demel, Clark)
    Walcott, Wilshere, Mata, Michu (Cole)
    Dzeko, RVP, Sturridge

For transfers this week and next, should I?:
    A) GW25: do nothing; GW 26: Gerrard for Walcott, and Enrique for Gibbs
    B) GW25: do nothing; GW 26: Suarez for Dzeko, and Downing for Walcott
    C) GW25: Enrique for Gibbs; GW26: Gerrard for Walcott
    D) GW25: Baines for Gibbs, and Guthrie for Cole; Suarez for Dzeko, and Downing for Walcott (-4 hit)

Evening, lads. Not quite the DZ yet but hopefully it's quieted down a bit?

I am about to do Gibbs >> Pearce / Harte. This will allow me to do Podolski >> Suarez and have a choice between Bale >> Gerrard or Baines >> GJ for free next week.

The other option would be to do Gibbs to Clichy, but that would limit flexibility for next week. Thoughts?

Bunn. Recent trends point to Bego likeliest getting 1pt. QPR on the other hand has the fewest goal attempts in the last 4 weeks (and tied fewest goals). Completely put me off Taarabt when I delved into their stats.

    Repost

    Evening all!

Wildcard is active, heres my team:

    http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/1474922/history/

Looking to transfer out Gibbs and rudd. Silva switch to bale this week. Was just hoping for a bit of advice/suggestions.. Won’t be getting RVP due to team value.. so will probably stick with 3-4-3 formation.

    Cheers guys

PS anyone watching the NBA tonight?

I need to do this, it may backfire but I'm in a rut going with RVP Capt most weeks...

Fellaini or Suarez to be decided tomorrow.. 🙂

When you take the captain off of him he'll score a hat-trick. At least that's what I'd be most afraid of.

I felt the same GW19. Got Baines in especially for Wigan at home. Gave him the (c). 2 points.
That's what CAN happen. Won't say it WILL happen this week for you.
You know the risks. Best of luck. I'd go Fellaini over Suarez btw.
