Fears over certain new boys’ starting roles prevented us handing places to the likes of Chris Samba and Lewis Holtby in this week’s article. Instead, we tread a path less risky and roll out three overlooked forwards with game time guaranteed and favourable home ties on their respective agendas this weekend.

Loic Remy

QPR’s record buy made an instant impact on his debut, notching within 15 minutes in a 1-1 draw at West Ham in Gameweek 23. Shackled by City’s backline on his first appearance in front of the Loftus Road faithful in midweek, Remy will be looking to return to goalscoring ways as Norwich roll up to Loftus Road tomorrow.

Harry Redknapp’s side are now unbeaten in four and with home draws against Spurs and City, the R’s will be confident of overcoming a Canaries side that have conceded in 10 of the last 11 Gameweeks. Handed the role of the lone striker in a 4-2-3-1 with Adel Taarabt pulling the strings behind him, Remy has played every minute of his two matches so far and offers guaranteed game time and a security of starts that could well see him prosper this weekend and beyond.

The Loftus Road outfit have six enticing looking fixtures in the following seven Gameweeks (swa, sou, SUN, avl, ful, WIG) which certainly bode well for their chances of survival and affords plenty reason for optimism. Priced 6.0 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL) and 8.0 in the Sky Sports game, Remy has the potential to prove a mid-price bargain as Redknapp turns to the former Marseille man to fire his side out the drop zone.

Victor Anichebe

So often a peripheral figure at Goodison, the Nigerian has enjoyed a recent run of games which affords Fantasy managers with an intriguing budget option to consider. Mainly utilised on the right due to a recent injury to Kevin Mirallas, the versatile Anichebe was shifted to the lone forward role last Wednesday as David Moyes dropped the off-form Nikica Jelavic to the bench.

An assist in the 2-1 triumph over West Brom maintained a run of form which has now harvested attacking returns in five of the last seven Gameweeks, with four bonus points also thrown in for good measure across that period. Priced at a mere 4.3 in FPL and 6.8 in the Sky Sports game, and with an ownership under 2% in FPL, Anichebe now welcomes Villa to Merseyside tomorrow. Given the game time, he is clearly capable of producing and looks superb value against an out-of-sorts side that have conceded two or more in all but one of their last seven.

Franco Di Santo

The departure of Arouna Kone to the African Cup of Nations has considerably boosted the Argentine’s appeal of late. Moved into the lone forward role vacated by the Ivorian, Di Santo has flourished – scoring in two of the last three, with a couple of bonus points also accrued.

Roberto Martinez’s side welcome Southampton to the DW tomorrow and, from an attacking perspective at least, are starting to finding their form – Tuesday’s 2-2 draw at Stoke meant Wigan have notched twice in back-to-back matches for the first time since Gameweek 3. With an upturn in offensive threat, the Latics will be confident of seeing off the Saints and Di Santo, at just 5.3 in FPL and 7.5 in the Sky Sports game, could appeal to those looking for a real short-term differential gamble, with Kone’s return from international duties later this month likely to see Di Santo move back out wide.

Cabeye is a beast. In great form and takes free kicks. More likely to get a majority of assists I think with his play making ability. Cisse had a ridiculous end to last year so could explode at any time. I would wait to see when that time is though. He's not quite there yet

8.43 for me and I'm hungover, got to go out for the day but want to get this sorted first...

Anybody suggest a good change?? It's a WC team with 0.0m in the bank...

    Fed, Bego

    Azpli, Clichy, Davies, Demel, Mariappa

    Michu, Bale, Fellaini, Mata, Walcott

    THE AWKWARD MOMENT

When you have a 9$ bid for some 3d TV glasses then some idiot comes in with a 20$ max bid with 2 hours left.

bidding at 22 now tussle between me and him.

THe funny thing is there is another pair of glasses that are exactly the same that he has also bid a max 20$ on. But bidding ends an hour later.

I was trying to be fair and left the other pair unbid by me. BUT NO, he had to bid on both the greedy w@nker. And not only bid put in a bid that was only 15$ off a brand new price.

I will make him pay by winning the first pair then ruining his second bid

    Stupid arsehole.

I Bid for one pair of glasses. For 9$. 2 hours left. Some tard come sin and doubles my bid when there was a second pair of glasses that i left Unbid, he could have easily taken that one...

Now i will make sure i win the first bid and since the second one finishes an hour later, as he seems desperate to get one pair i will keep bidding and let him pay more.

Guys, several players have had price rises on lower thresholds than predicted by FISO CTC in recent nights. Some were rising on the 24-25k mark.

Possible risers who are not predicted to rise by FISO CTC are: Cesar, Williams, Anichebe, Harte and Walcott.

Basically, if you're watching the transfers in future keep your eyes peeled when they reach the mid 90s.

As I said I'd seen it happen on previous nights - to be specific two nights ago when Giroud surprisingly rose, causing me to miss his double rise this week. So reckon FPL have reduced the rise threshold of late, not to do with the deadlines in particular.

They decrease the rise threshold slowly over the season, apparently to compensate for the number of dead teams increasing. Perhaps they had a big adjustment recently.

I think Taarabt is overrated despite all the love. Virtually all his shots are from 25 yards. Yes, one will go in sooner or later but it starting to look like 50 or so will go over or wide first.

This should give me enough time to do Gerrard & Gibbs > Baines & 7.6 or Zaba & 9.0 (-4)

Guthrie is f***ing useless, so the second. Guthrie is not totally nailed on and aside from a deflection in GW1 would never have scored more than 2 points this year.

I actually think both will score but midfielders get an extra point for it. Plus a point if they keep a CS.

      Cesar Bunn
      Enrique Davies Demel Clyne Pearce
      Mata Bale Walcott Michu Guthrie
      RVP Suarez Sturridge

      Nothing left in the bank

Michu and liverpool forward for a cheeky toon double after the DGW.

What do you refer for next week?

Baines, Fellaini & Pod > Turner Gerrard & Suarez (-4)

    OR

    Gibbs, Fellaini & Pod > GJ, 5.2m & Suarez (-4)

First option gives me the preferred Gerrard, second option gives me Pool defense and allows me to keep Baines for nor RDG(even though I'll have to play him away at Utd)

    A. Punch the screen

    B. Punch the closest person in the face

    C. Make him the fastest transfer out in the history of FPL

    D. Transfer him out and curse Benitez endlessly.

I have 2FTs and nothing evident to do, but no LFC cover

I could do Wilshere to Henderson

or Wilshere to De Guzman (have Michu)
