Contrary to earlier reports on twitter, Juan Mata is fit and available for Chelsea’s trip to Newcastle. Petr Cech returns from a brief calf problem, though the Blues are still without David Luiz due to an ankle injury.

Dimitar Berbatov is out of Fulham’s home clash with former club United, while Steve Sidwell is also unavailable for the Cottagers. Sir Alex Ferguson has promised to make one or two changes for the visitors – he’s hoping Jonny Evans will be back and has also revealed Rio Ferdinand will feature. Ashley Young is still sidelined, however.

Mikel Arteta could return for Arsenal’s home clash with Stoke, though Thomas Vermaelen is a doubt again due to an ongoing ankle problem. Swansea’s Michel Vorm remains sidelined with a minor knee problem, casting doubts over his availability for next week’s double. Liverpool have omitted Philippe Coutinho from the squad to face City – he is “away getting things sorted” after joined from Inter. Vincent Kompany is expected to remain on the sidelines for another three weeks for City, while Peter Odemwingie won’t be considered for selection for West Brom after yesterday’s transfer deadline day drama.

All this and more is collected and collated in our team news section, where you’ll also find our updated predicted lineups.

“Rate My Team” has also been updated to reflect the very latest, the Projections will be updated very shortly.

We’ll keep you informed of any new information via our twitter feed, as always.

I was tempted to captain Walcott instead of Van Persie this week. Home fixtures, Stoke is a mess, and Walcott's in form..

and then I see Walcott's goal scoring record vs Stoke and MU's record vs Fulham.

It all became clear who I must captain this week.

For my front 3, is it better to have Sturridge / Suarez / RVP this week (in preparation for the DGW)

        Or

Should I have Giroud / Ba / RVP this week (and take a -4 hit next week to get Sturridge and Suarez in for the DGW)

Any thoughts appreciated. PS I also have Michu and Davies for the double.

If you have to take hits the week after you have played your WC, then the WC is poorly used, imo. Either get Sturridge/Suarez immediately, or just get Giroud this week and leave the money to upgrade him to Suarez for next week or something.

When you look at a player like Bale on 70/80k paying 12m for a defender on 100k seems absurd, especially when you consider everything Harry said about the 'overpaid players' at QPR when he arrived.

`Arry is a knobhead he doesnt care about running a good business, he just wants players to come in. Luckily for him, QPR are probably the worst run club in the BPL, perfect fit.

It still doesn't feel right benching Le Fondre this week, who here would put him in ahead of any of these?:

Michu, Fellaini, Bale, Mata, Walcott, Suarez, RVP

None. Bench him :(. Suarez has a knack for scoring in the big games.

I forgot Bale vs West Brom away as well. I'm considering dropping him even, but I'm afraid he'll explode.

Yeah, it's gonna give me a headache every GW! At the time, I thought it would be nice to have the choice!

        Bale, Silva, Walcott, Walters, Noble
        RvP, Ba, Berbatov

My team value is crap and i'm using my wildcard. Any obvious transfers? Please help as i haven't got much time to do the research. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Monreal has already trained ahead of the Stoke game. Quite possible he'll start tomorrow.

How essential is suarez for the double...?

Here is the deal, I lead my mini league with a 50pts gap. Most of my rivals have suarez and probably will (c) him.
I can get davies, studge, JE and michu for free additionally gerrard (-4). if I wanted suarez I'd have to stretch the budget and probably have 4 dgw players with a -4 to do it.

Should I risk going with out suarez or mitigate that risk?

        Thx

If you have five outfield for the DGW then you won't have a full team the week after without taking a further hit...making hits of -8....or play with ten men and miss out on points anyway..

        Begovic (jussi)
        Rangel, Zabaletta, Clyne (gibbs, demel)
Fellaini, De Guzman, Walcott, Larrson (marveux)
        Aguero, Rvp, Suarez

        Have 2 FT’s…no cash.
        Gibbs > Harte/Pearce/Bertrand
        Larrson > Lampard
Can I make any better transfers than these gents?
        Really want some Chelsea cover.

Guys, Will Wilson will be back for GW 27? I asked because I'm buying him in place of Gibbs so that 'blank GW 27 week' of Pool & Swansea will be filled by Wilson.. Will he be fit by 23rd feb?

You`ll just have to wait and see. Asking questions like that, nobody can answer. He`s been injured a long time, whether or not he regains fitness for a starting 11 2 weeks from now is just speculation.
