Very excited to welcome Mr. Aguero to my team for the first time this season on Friday. I can finally watch City games again.
Contemplating the same - Suarez > Aguero. Although, now really considering Cisse as an alternate also
What has sold the Aguero option for you?
I trust that he will start scoring and City will make one more push. They don't have any more competitions to focus on. He is 100% nailed on. He is on penalties.
Mancini's post-match comments regarding Aguero were quite resounding also

Welcomed him to my team today before the Suarez rise. I just hope the 2 Manchester clubs don't have blanks in GW29 or I'm in a spot of trouble

Ooooh, that must've been tough to ditch him with so much value in there. I got Suarez at 10.8m, so easier for me.

Hah. Exactly. And keep telling myself that if I buy him back for 10.7 or less, I virtually make 0.1m profit (getting 0.7 from selling, and spending 0.6 to buy back)
Finally I did Suarez to Aguero (before the fall)
Now the question is, would a hit to field 11 be worth it? The options are:
A. Davies to Cuellar/Turner/R. Martin
B. Enrique to Evans
C. Sturridge to Cisse
and I have Demel, so possibly fielding 9 players if I avoid the hit altogether.
Its not worth if if you're getting a defender in. C would be an option worth considering though.
I thought so, but would it be worth the transfer I'd need to getting a front pool player back? considering the fixture's strength and no blank.
Sturridge is certainly worth having and its a shame you would have to lose him. Its a tough call but the only call you need to make from those 3 options
Well there's always the option to offload Michu. But I don't think I wanna lose both Suarez AND Michu. Would put me in a vulnerable position due to their ownership%.

Hah. This is keeping me for more than a week (my record of holding out transfers). The thing with Cisse is he's just not yet there, almost but I think would need 1-2 games. But it was before the FA cup match where he got 2 disallowed goals (?)
Is it good logic to wait for him to score first before buying him?
Not quite, I'm trying to forecast using the moving average of the ICT index. From the back tracing I did on Giroud and Bentekem the method worked well. Although 2 players are obviously not enough sample.
I did B, but only because I needed the 0.1m to fund Suarez -> Aguero.
Since there's no way you can field 11 without the hit, it's worth taking one imo. For one week only, C has the highest potential, but I think Sturridge looks a long term hold so not sure.
Who are your other non-starters this week?
Michu, Davies, and Enrique. Personally I'm keen to bring back Suarez/Sturrigde if I ended up selling them both this week.
I'm really hoping the Manchester clubs have blanks in GW29 along with the others. I'd have a massive advantage. I quite surprised I only have 3 from the 6 clubs involved

11 Wilsheres, and Arsenal will be perfectly fine.
It's a conundrum really. Wilshere's arguably Arsenal's best player atm. But Cazorla-Arteta-Diaby trio worked well earlier in the season.
If Villa win this weekend will Wenger jump or hang on to be pushed?
Trust me, they won't. Probably, it will be another of their big home wins. 5-1 or 7-2, something like that.

if all of city arsenal united and chelsea have a dgw in the same gw, I feel a team along these lines could score 200+ pts especially considering united have west ham, city have wigan and chelsea have fulham for one of their games.

how on earth do you plan on fitting hazard into that team? the budget can't stretch that far. i guess you could make one of the defenders a cheap option and upgrade nani to hazard....
but the general idea of the squad you agree with yes? think it could score 150-200 points?

I have no idea why people are thinking about a City DGW. There is absolutely no reason why their game cannot be shifted to midweek.
There's one massive reason, it's called UEFA.

did you see the potential team I posted above? obviously i wouldn't take hits for that whole team but think how many points that team could score in a dgw

Who created the council site? Is there an established founder?

Some combination of ENR, TW, Parm, Udit and Pratik.
Pratik as I understand was the builder of the site

much of site came from a basic platform from Wordpress, then he helped with some other stuff (can't remember specifics) and I have been mostly responsible for the setup of the site organizationally
Pratik also has his own site which he uses to host the league tables and fixtures, all of which he did the coding for himself

ENR created the council. he came up with the CL last year, then expanded it to the Europa League which was overseen by him but run by Parm and Udit I believe. I liked his idea of the CL and was going to make a Spanish cup of my own but thankfully he talked me out of that as it would have been competing and wouldn't have been as good haha. instead he signed me on to do HOF for the CL.
then in late spring he got Parm Udit and myself together with him to form the council. and Pratik too but i'm not sure how he got in there haha. and we ran the Euros. after the competition we signed JK on as a council member and then we set up the leagues. then somewhere in there ENR stepped down from the council as he needed to focus on his career. then this winter we signed Berbilly onto the council!
In terms of the site, there was an old Weebly site that we used for the Euros (you can find it if you search for it on google). I think Parm actually created it (or was it pratik I don't remember) and Parm + Pratik + I oversaw/ran the website. then at the end of the Euros we decided it would be best if we switched over to wordpress (Pratik's idea I believe, and I also believe he set it up). Then I think Pratik and I ran the website for a while. and now i mostly run the website with the help of berbilly and the occasional help from Pratik.
Pratik is responsible for all the great coding for the leagues to automatically update scores and standings!
I think that was a bit more than you were looking for but that is the general history of the council and the website to my knowledge/memory
Personally with DGW on the horizon....i am hoping for only 2 or 3 games max. If you have WC remaining you will have more of an adv. If there are too many teams with DGW your advantage diminishes as everyone will be able to get to XI DGWers with minimal hits.

Then they would not have taking it off the schedule in the first place. Why would they take it off, have managers work their squad around the blank then reinstate them on the original date? If there was still a possibility of it sbeing played, as scheduled, they would have left it on until certain. Just my opinion.

FPL Open : 431 entered, 256 spots, 256th spot @ 19,015th.
Elite 64 : 261 entered, 64 spots, 64th spot @ 1,109th.
Millionaire Club : 88 qualified. Going to cap at 200 entries, then opening when teams get knocked out until GW35.
Neither have much form this season, as I have had Aguero in my team twice, I suppose I have to go for him, he has the potential, and City must put some kind of pressure on United PDQ, or it's all over.But really depends on what you are going to do with the spare cash if you go Cisse. I suppose the sensible answer right now is neither of them.

If there was any doubt of a blank, FPL would not have taking it off the schedule in the first place. Why would they take it off, have managers work their squad around the blank then reinstate them on the original date? If there was still a possibility of it being played, as scheduled, they would have left it on until certain. Just my opinion.
saw that....respectfully disagree.....cant see them providing information that will screw up everyone's squads for a blank that is never going to happen.
but it woudln't be reinstated on the original date! that's the thing. best the fixtures would be moved to midweek which would be new dates. the point is the fixtures won't take place on the dates they were scheduled for so they are removed for the time being
okay then....the should have left it as it was then....by eliminating it from the fixture schedule it can seriously do harm to a fantasy managers squad. If in the same GW it would not matter if the match was played on Sunday/Saturday or Wednesday!
Almost agree, but with different emphasis, rather than not take it off until certain it wasn't going to be played, perhaps they took it off unitl they are certain when it WILL be played. It certainly won't be played on the original scheduled date, so a change was needed anyway.
I know UEFA don;t like competition for their competitions, but I'm not sure they have the power to prohibit leagues from hosting games on CL/EL nights. Television on the other hand will hugely influence the decision. SKy in UK are likely to get a bigger audience for either/ both United and City than any of the European games
remember the "fixture schedule" on FPL is there for managers to plan on a GW by GW basis. Its purpose is different from the EPL schedule.
But you can only set teams up, do transfers for the current GW, so I guess they don't see it as causing a problem? I realise that some players may do transfers this week and next based on the possibility of a blank, but they probably don't expect many to be that savvy...
