Wayne Rooney may have been ruled out by most following Sir Alex Ferguson’s Thursday press conference but today he’s back in training and may yet come into the reckoning for the Loftus Road trip. United’s title rivals, City, are forced to check on the fitness of both Vincent Kompany and Gareth Barry for their clash with Chelsea, according to Roberto Mancini.

Meanwhile, down in the capital, Joey O’Brien, George McCartney and James Collins are all back in training for West Ham ahead of Monday’s home match with Tottenham. Loic Remy has trained for QPR over the last couple of days and “looks okay†ahead of United’s visit, revealed Harry Redknapp earlier this morning. The forward will continue to be assessed, though, with the R’s boss still undecided whether to field him.

Back up North and Danny Rose is ruled out with a hamstring injury for Sunderland, while skipper Lee Cattermole is unlikely to recover from a knee problem in time for the trip to West Brom. Alan Pardew remains hopeful that Tim Krul will be available for Newcastle’s home clash with Southampton. The Magpies keeper faces a scan on his ankle, though, after picking up a problem in last night’s Europa League win over Metalist.

Victor Anichebe remains â€a bit of a doubt†for Everton’s trip to Norwich, though Seamus Coleman may come into contention for the Toffees after returning to training. The home side will check on both Alex Tettey and Andrew Surman ahead of the Toffees visit.

All this and more is collected and collated in our team news section, where you’ll also find our updated predicted lineups.

We’ll be factoring today’s updates into the Rate My Team model very soon, with the Projections updated in the next couple of hours.

I currently have Fellaini bought for 7.4m, now costs 7.7m and is about to rise to 7.8m tonight so I can sell him tomorrow morning for 7.6m. Is it worth selling him for Walcott who I don't currently own? I think Arsenal will score a few tomorrow as they need a confidence boost and Fellaini plays kinda deep. It would also be for a hit.

Fellaini is not playing deep with a fully fit squad and he plays Reading next week.

marv maybe a sub appearence but less likely with Barfa possible on the bench. Demel could play, but only if the newly recovered defenders are not fit enough to play.

i wouldnt do it. giroud didnt even start against bayern, granted they did look better with him up top and walcott on the right. but it just shows that he is not guaranteed to start. I would go with walcott, bale, or rvp (depending on who you have on your team).

    Bego, (Bunn)
Zaba, Harte, Clyne , (Davies, Fabio)
Wally, Mata, Bale, Fellani , (Michu)
    RVP, Aguero, (Sturr)

Regarding dealing with GW29, what if it's better to write off GW29 and do well before and after it?

Doing without players from MCI/MUN/CHE/ARS/EVE has its own cost - perhaps it's worth looking at fielding say 9 in GW29 (meaning you keep 5 players from those clubs that week). You can soften the blow by being short on defenders not strikers so you don't miss out on so many points. You're then better prepared for the DGW than everyone else.

If I didn't have my WC I'd be thinking like that and suffering that week.

With the WC, I can afford to get players for GW29 and then play it to get a load of doublers in.

If you had the choice to lose Sturridge, who’d you bring in?
    A) Giroud. Could go mental against Villa , and could score again in the Tottenham Arsenal derby, but he’s facing a potential blank gw29
B)Papiss Cisse. Has SOT swa STO in the next 3 and i see him also scoring.
C)Any other forward up to 10mill and why? (i have also RvP and Suarez)

Already have Bunn. Dont fancy doubling up on any defence. Any love for Newcastle defence? I know Krul out is a blow, but nice fixtures. Demel is out, and i wont have 11 if he doesnt play this weekend.

Have Begovic, Federici, Davies,Dawson, Martin, Debuchy and B. Jones. Very reluctant to double up on any of those teams.

    Please pick :

    A. Caldwell
    B. O'Shea
    C. Clyne
    D. Hill

or please suggest another for 5.3 or less. Have Davies,Dawson, Martin, Debuchy and selling B. Jones.

Clyne has decent fixtures and the possibility of attacking returns

Nah. Possible blank GW29 as well as possibly not even getting a clean sheet.

How many do you have starting at the moment?

This was my plan but I have Evra and United may have a blank GW29. Whereas Enrique has his blank but then played GW29

both crap comments!! All the high scorers are 'due a 2 pointer' on that basis. And demel hardly ever plays. He is ok for his price but even better out there eg Harte, Wilson.

Chance of Santon and Demel starting this week?

I'm guessing pretty good, and about equal to Arsenal outspending Chelsea this summer respectively.
