That was a really good derby game. Could have been cleaner on both sides. No (serious) fights, and even though it didn't have any real effect. I, unlike most fans at the pub where I was, am gonna to cry about an offisdes goal that was totally fine. However, I've never been more f***ing disgusted than the blatant timewasting Defoe did around the '86 minute. How did he not get carded for that? Or subbing Gallas on with almost no time left in injury time? Try to tell me that wasn't rubbing salt in the wound.
Second half was week(er).
I hate timewasting so much. I always want team who does it to concede even if it it's team I support.

With Colo injured, Saylor is nailed on. I have Debuchy and Sissoko. Might do Giroud -> Cisse but I feel that would be Newc overkill.
Yanga Mbiwa trying to force his way into the team, but short term I think Saylor is nailed on since Coloccini is out injured...Better long term options in Santon and Debuchy (cup tied for Europa)
I belive Mbiwa won't get starts in PL as long as they are in Europa.
Going towards the end of season he should get more game time at the expense of Colo who will be out in summer.
That's true, I think Mbiwa plays RB in Europa...but long term Debuchy and Santon are much better options since they have a goal/assist threat in them
some people have said Mbiwa is pushing him for the spot - personally I think STaylor is better than Coloccini though... so I'm not sure how Pardew will handle this one

I'm going to take the hit and then captain him, I think. Have been trying to talk myself out of not chasing points and using Sturridge as a reason not to get Suarez, but he is 6.5 ppg w Sturridge, a little over 6.6 without him -- if you have the money he is the clear choice.

It's not maths here...That he follows the pattern. Pretty sure Bale was due a blank 2 weeks back by this logic.
Suarez is a quality player. And if not for Sturridge, he would have been the focal point of all Liverpool attack. Now Sturridge will eat some of those points. Just like Rooney does for RVP.
Yeah I know that, but I am trying to objectively predict form... it is natural for players to go on scoring runs and then to stop scoring... this is not maths, but this does happen all the time, regardless of player and team...
It's hard to do that, especially when everyone sees his recent scores...
Totally understand where you're coming from -- It's like I'm reading the transcripts of what I've been telling myself for the past two months by not having him in.
Imo, the boat should dock around 12.5 or 13.0 though, so the only question that needs to be answered is how much will he score these last ten weeks -- Benteke Suarez RVP are my top three forwards.
Currently have Suarez, Lamb, Sturridge.
Will want to get in Rooney instead of RVP for GW 30 for Sturridge
The other consideration is how much he's killing us in the rankings by not owning him -- he's up to 36% ownership.

Nah. The only games Martin missed this year was when he had a back injury. Turner wasn't injured at the start of the season as far as i'm aware and wasn't first choice. Leon Barnett was playing instead. He could conceivably get some gametime towards the end of the season for him. Therefore Turner more nailed on.
