A trio of Newcastle players register some impressive attacking statistics as we sift through the data from the Gameweek gone by. Romelu Lukaku’s consistent goal threat earns the West Brom forward a place in the top 10 of our ICT rankings, while we take a look at some stand-out stats from midfield in our latest article for members. Our members can examine all the numbers from the weekend action via our tables, charts and maps but, as always, we’ve handpicked the numbers that have grabbed our attention across the six fixtures played out.

Is anyone intending to go without RVP this week?
Open Controls-
Hey SWF, your FPL Open opponent was looking for you. 🙂
Open Controls -
Yeah a few are punting on the pig. I'm going Suarez-Rooney-van Persie up front. Reading are, lets be honest, at best a very average championship side which will be put to the sword. Expect this to be ugly!
Open Controls-
I'd say at best they're championship winning material
Open Controls -
-
-
-
Slightly odd one but who do you support?
Open Controls-
Actually, no-one. I lived in Newcastle for about 9 years so I got conditioned to wanting them to win, on account of it making the toon a safer place to be 🙂
But then I married a Mackem so that had to go on ice ... so now I'm just a neutralOpen Controls-
Ah, I thought you were Spurs but others thought you were Newcastle. (Looking for Spurs fans on here for a tournament thingy - not just talking about you like some odd FFS stalker).

RvP & Rooney for me 😎
Open Controls -
Yep.
Open Controls-
Hey Mac. Looks like you benched the Holtbius grav?
It's a shame for Lewis that he can't get good gametime. He's obviously a big, big talent.Open Controls-
Ha yeah, I was briefly Gylfius Mac over the weekend. Gone back to normal now.
I'm not worried about Holtby - he's very young. Will play vs. Inter I assume. He's been "dropped" because Sigurdsson has been very good. Fine with that and he'll be involved plenty before the end.Open Controls

Yes.
Open Controls

-
-
Good question.
My guess it that the last number is goal attempts within the box, while the former are all of Norwich's.Open Controls
-
Lambert >
a) Tevez
b) Remy
c) keep him and hit 4 point for Clyne+Brunt > A.Cole+MaloneyOpen Controls -
All RVP sellers will be crapping themselves now! your own fault.
Open Controls-
-
I laugh at them, hahaha 😛
Open Controls -
alot will get utd cover back atleast rooney and who's to say he wont outscore rvp until the end
Open Controls-
Nah mate. RVP is the man. Plus all the money lost on him

No my underwear remains unsoiled.

I was about to do Sturridge > RVP but I've seen a bit of talk about United's fixture this week. What's going on?
Open Controls-
It's too late for the Reading game to get cancelled, its in 5 days time. Plus then both united and chelsea will have two games in hand in the league. Won't happen mate.
Open Controls-
Cool.
Thanks allOpen Controls

-
It's all complicated. Some talk of their fixture this weekend being cancelled, i think that's unlikely. But then, their fixture vs Sunderland could be cancelled. So I could be getting RVP/Rooney for Reading, Blank, Man City, in which case, is it worth it?
Open Controls -
this article said it could be cancelled http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/fa-cup/9921395/Fixture-pile-up-gives-FA-few-options-for-Cup-replay-dates.html

Bench one out of :
Sissoko, Fellani, StudgeOpen Controls -
Anone concerned Evra and/or Rafael might be rested after SAF's 'knackered' comment?
Open Controls -
so now with Wigan's potential blank in GW33, they can end up having 2 DGW in a row? :O
Open Controls-
Unlikely. Midweek GW33 has to be a big favourite for one of the re-arrangements.

How does this look for the weekend?
Was thinking about transfering Lambert out, but then not sure who'd I'd bench.
Bunn
Zabaleta - Jevans - Enrique
Walcott - Sissoko - Michu - Bale (v) - Sessegnon
Van Persie (c) - Sturridge
Jaaskelainen - Lambert - Davies - ShawOpen Controls-
Looking top Spencer, Like the RvP (c) over Bale 🙂
Open Controls -
I would play Lambert over Sissoko or Sessegnon personally.
Open Controls -
No chelsea cover? risky... 🙂
Open Controls
-
-
who to get rid of for rvp
cisse, lambert or sturridge
Ideally i want to keep sturridge as pool cover im sure he will do decent and more importantly nick some points off suarezOpen Controls-
Lambchops.
Open Controls-
I'll probably drop Lambert. Not sure yet if for RVP or Roo
Open Controls
-
-
If you could afford it you may be better off with Suarez & Rooney
Open Controls -
sturridge for me
Open Controls -
Cisse......overpriced this year
Open Controls
-
-
Keep Lukaku or not?
West Brom play Stoke away!
Do you think Stoke will keep their first CS this year?Open Controls -
Its impossible to get any forward planning done with the fixture congestion 🙁
Open Controls-
Just play one gameweek at a time
Open Controls
-
-
Anyone getting Rooney over RVP this week? I can afford both, just can't decide which one. am tempted by rooney as a bit of a differential and is a bit cheaper.
Open Controls -
I'm looking forward to the AC vs Barca game this week....should be a classic. Unless AC park the bus and Barca cannot break em down.
Open Controls -
-
-
Yes! If you don't own RvP, Rooney, Bale, Suarez, Mata or Hazard 😉
Open Controls
-
Afternoon all
In theory I could survive the week without any transfers but of course am thinking of RVP as captain.
Current team:
Bego (Fed)
Zab, O'Brien, Mariappa, Wilson, Martin R
Walcott, Siss, Bale, Mata, Michu
Lambert, Benteke, Suarez
£5.1 in bank
options:
1. Do nothing
2. Lambert----> Rooney
3. Walcott + Lambert----> RVP + Fellaini
4. Siss + Lambert---> RVP + Townsend (jump on bandwagon)
Any thoughts would be appreciated!Open Controls-
1 or 2 for me. I think I will go for 2.

In football all is forgiven if you're an exceptional player. Weird innit.
Open Controls-
Capitalism at its worst
Open Controls-
The mighty Dr Ennit has fallen and now I see you've paired the Great ' Optimus ' and moi next - looks interesting , he's already said he's taking a hit to get Rvp in but he has still a very strong team ,
Have you seen L4 - unbelievable tight in there now 3 pts seperate the top 6,
Brill H2h league G - standard very high ! ( bar the few at the bottom 😉 )Open Controls-
Its nice to know you are enjoying the leagues.
The aim of the leagues was to match everyone against their fantasy equals in order that all leagues be hotly contested. And I believe every league is still anyones battle. I cant talk for One Hit Wonders, but I was not allocated to league 4 by rank, but by the requirement of needing a host. By rank I should be in league 5, but alas I have struggled and toiled in the Hotel and will hopefully avoid being last come GW38.Open Controls -
I should be careful, if you want an invite for next Season. 😉
Open Controls-
Have we decided if I am actually going to get relegated at the end of this season? 🙁
Open Controls-
Dunno. We will have six leagues for sure, and we have to sort the hosting ... also, I may be relegated too ...
Open Controls -
-
Setting up the league, emailing your leagues players and dealing with any misdemeanours, which of course there are none. Also being happy and bubbly at all times as a representative of D&G associates.

You mean after all I've brought to the table I have to reapply !!!
😯Open Controls-
Every body has to get an invite, and respond. There are also one or two issues to clear up. That said, it is pretty clearcut.
Now, what was it that you have brought to our table? 🙂Open Controls-
this comment was supposed to be about us football viewers' double standards. what happened?

Bunn/Bego
Rafael Zabaleta Baines (Bennett/Wilkinson)
Mata Sissoko Walcott Bale(c) Nani
Sturridge RVP (Aguero)
Any suggestions on transfers for this week and the next few?
I know I should’ve done Baines > JEnrique last week..
Thinking about Baines > Enrique / Sturridge > Suarez / Aguero > Lukaku.Open Controls-
tv?
Open Controls

After reading this article, it's clear to me that choosing Cisse over Sissoko was a mistake 😐
Open Controls-
Choosing Sissoko over Cabaye was also a mistake I think
Open Controls -
I was going to get em both until Cisse was a doubt so I just got Siss (c) and Lukaku. Wish I would have got Cisse now and captained him. Oh well....Roo & RvP this weekend 🙂
Open Controls -
Too expensive for the returns. Priced on last years form.
Open Controls -
what? Cisse outscored him this week...and Sissoko got lucky with that assist
Open Controls -
Hej, I chose BARFA over Sissoko :-/
Open Controls
-
-
-
Keep Lukaku, he looks quality. So Lamb > RvP
Open Controls
-
United coverage = essential
None of the midfield work - only Kagawa perhaps, but bit of a kneejerk on recent form
wellbeck and hernandez cant be trusted to get enough minutes
so it comes down to Rooney and RVP
has RVP looked tired lately? yes
did rooney look fired up yesterday? yes
will they both start v Reading? probably
who has the greater goal threat? RVP
Conclusion:
If you have RVP, should you keep? yes
If you have planned to get RVP should you go ahead? probably, unless you need that £2m funds elsewhere
Key Concludion:
Is Rooney back in contention as big hitter? yes
Key Question:
Who will score more points from now to the end of the season - Rooney or RVP? don't knowOpen Controls -
The 7 day rule. - Another piece of tosh which became the accepted wisdom on this forum 🙂
Open Controls-
😆 What's the latest? Choosing RVP over Rooney? 😀
Open Controls-
choosing Rooney over RVP for >Sturridge / Lambo allows me Tevez for the week after...
In your opinion, is it worth it?Open Controls -
I'm waiting for the Townsend bandwagon. Everyone is always looking for a budget mid and he is quite a juicy choice.
Open Controls-
Nice totelfootball pick this week Gink - kudos.
Open Controls-
🙂 I hate Vertonghen with a passion, I finished top out of everyone that didnt have the prat.
Open Controls-
Ha! He did distort the scores a bit didn't he!
I'm starting to realise I'm really quite poor at the game - down to my last £2 out of my start-up fund!
Don't know whether he won (can't be bothered to go back and check now) but I saw that the guy who was leading on Saturday had doubled up on the Southampton defence with Boruc in goal - I'd have called that madness beforehand but it didn't half work well!Open Controls-
Nah he fell well before the end.
I think the key is not to chase cleansheets but decide which games will be tight and which will be goal galore. Buy attackers from the latter games and defenders from the former.
Just think, how often do you get annoyed when your defenders opponents get a CS and your donts?Open Controls-
Sound advice, now if only I could work out which games will be which... 😉
I shall hoover up your advice all week and try to apply it at the weekend!Open Controls

Yep, wish i had a ft for Punch->Townsend!
Open Controls

never heard of it - what's that?
Open Controls

"While his penalty miss left a sour taste in the mouth, Lukaku’s numbers again impressed as he amassed more penalty box attempts than any other forward on show in the Gameweek and created more chances than any other striker (4)"
The only bit I remember from that are the 3rd and 4th words. Ruined my gameweek.Open Controls-
-
Nonetheless, he is playing very well. I am quite pleased to have him.
Open Controls
-
It was crushing...
Open Controls -
think anyone who captained him should count themselves so unfortunate, was great fpl'ing to do so and didnt deserve that
Open Controls -
+1
Open Controls -
yes, it was horrible, could have been so much better 🙁
Open Controls -
It still hurts seeing him taking that penalty
Open Controls
-
-
Why is the Swansea match removed from gw 33? Does anyone know...
Open Controls-
I'm guessing they were supposed to be playing City or Wigan who are now playing in the FA cup semi finals that weekend.
Open Controls-
you'll notice the Wigan game is removed as well
Open Controls
-
-
I believe it's because City will play the FA Cup semi then
Open Controls -
and city v w.brom ... 😐
Open Controls
-
-
Is it fair to say that in order to get a push up the rankings for the run in you should choose Rooney over RvP?
Open Controls-
I'm getting both
Open Controls-
too expensive
Open Controls
-
-
its fair to say that if you pick Rooney and it proves to be the right decision then your ranking will rise a lot more than if you pick RVP and that proves to be the right decision
most important thing is making the right decision 🙂Open Controls -
The most we can say is that it's a defensible stance. We can't know how it will turn out of course. 🙂
Open Controls-
With my luck, whatever option I choose, I suggest that you do the opposite! 😉
Open Controls

according to the comparison tool rooney is by far the better pick both all season and last six week in terms of average per apperance
