Mainly utilised for his ball-winning abilities and dynamic displays in the heart of the Southampton midfield, Morgan Schneiderlin has been afforded a new lease of life since the January departure of Nigel Adkins. While his successful tackles and interceptions have been literally second to none in England’s top-flight this term, the Frenchman has recently added an extra element to his game and with three goals in his last six appearances, we cast an eye over his attacking performances under new Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino to decide whether his 18,000 new Fantasy Premier League (FPL) owners have themselves a bargain.
Do you think I should do Lukaku ---> Berbatov for my FT this week?
Open ControlsMight need the rest of your team.
Open ControlsAs in what other players do you own? That should probably be taken into consideration.
Open ControlsFederici, Bunn (I know haha)
Harte, Demel, Martin, Shaw, Davies
Bale, Mata, Snod, Sissoko, Michu
RVP, Suarez, Lukaku
I want Berbatov, Carzola and a chelsea midfielder (probably lampard as its the only way I can afford carzola) before the DGW. And after seeing Berb is going up in price tonight I thought I probably should. What do you think?Open ControlsGood to see you don't have any QPR defenders!
Yeah Lukaku > Berbatov looks very sensible in that situation, go for it.Open Controlsthanks. do you not think Lukaku will outscore berb this week?
Another option could be to ditch suarez for berb instead? or is that just crazy?Open ControlsThere's always a risk anyone could outscore anyone else on a particular week, can't get away from that. But Lukaku is playing away and West Ham are considerably stronger at home, while Berb is at home to QPR. Berb's also on pens while it looks like Lukaku might be off them after his miss.
Gotta keep Suarez against Villa!Open Controls
Fulham have a DGW33, WBA have a blank, and WBA have Arsenal next week and an away trip this week while Fulham are playing two teams with leaky defences. Couldn't get much better.
Open ControlsOk thanks alot. My head has been hurting so much over transfers this week. Im kind of hoping Suarez does well but gets a yellow card, meaning I dont feel guilty taking him out when he is suspended, freeing up some cash for my midfield in DGW
Open ControlsYeah I've got the same problem of loads of cash tied up in forwards (Rooney and Suarez 😠) so Suarez will be under pressure to go. Him getting a yellow would actually be a blessing now you mention it... unfortunately he usually gets booked when games are going badly, the spiteful swine 🙂
Open Controls
I forget.

For everyone considering Walcott > Cazorla tonight before he rises, I'm proud to provide you with a soundtrack by which to make your decision:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibRMmLlLz64Open ControlsWhat pearls of wisdom can you offer on this subject, Isacki?
Open ControlsNothing apart from my tried and tested commitment this year to make late transfers. Waiting on Wenger's Friday presser before considering. But may well be tempted to lose Mata for Caz or Michu for Ox.
Open ControlsI actually can afford to wait, but the extra 0.1 could come in handy. I don't mind the Walcott injury, I was planning on selling Mata but wasn't convinced about it.
Open ControlsThe biggie for me is whether Walcott is back in time for the DGW - definitely ruling out using 2 transfers to get him out and back in again. Money is a bit tight but I'm in that situation where I'm short of one bracket and with plenty of budget for another.
Open ControlsI just don't want him benched for 2 games, and lose a lot more value on him. If he then went on to have a setback and be out for the DGW ...
Also, come the DGW, I may opt for Santi and Mata and Hazard, or even Nani and Kags 😯Open ControlsI got Kags in my doubles team. Santi, Mata and Hazard does look pretty solid. Not feeling too confident on Nani/Kags starting both though!
Open Controls
He's rising tonight so, I presume?
Open ControlsYeah Caz is already on 104%
Open Controls
I didn't find it very problematic... 😉
Open Controls- Open Controls
Anyways, how about this for a belter?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hUXsfU14Sc
I think he should be way more well known.Open ControlsDone. Michu for cazorla as planned and Walcott stays. Should save me a Dgw transfer and can't see Michu doing much over the next few. Had to be done tonight before the rise.
Who knows, if I'm super lucky Walcott might even play...Open ControlsWalcott âž¡ Cazorla done.
Open ControlsCould you not afford it if you didn't do it tonight?
Open ControlsNah, I could have waited but I decided to cash in on the rise. Will more than likely be getting Theo back with the WC anyway.
Open ControlsI'm thinking the same. Theo won't be fit for the weekend, by all account and I don't want double Arsenal for an away game @ WBA anyway. I'll get him in again for the DGW for 8.4 if he is fit.
Open Controls
You sure?
Open Controls
My problems are mounting and I'm having to ask for advice on this deteriorating team:
Mignolet, Bunn
Evra, Johnson, Cameron, Davies, Pearce
Mata, Walcott, Bale, Sissoko, Townsend
Suarez, Lambert, Fletcher
I've already done Fellaini -> Townsend this week with my free, so anything else is for a hit.
I need to lose Fletcher, and there are doubts hanging over Evra, Mata, Walcott and Pearce. It seems bringing Evra and Walcott in 2 weeks ago was a bit of a mistake.
I have a WC I was planning on playing in GW33, but could use early.
Basically:
A) No transfer, hope one of Mata/Walcott plays
B) Fletcher to Kone (-4)
C) Fletcher to Benteke (-4)
D) Walcott to Cazorla (-4)
E) Take an 8 point hit.Open ControlsFletch to Berba?
I think Mata will play. Walcott to Caz would be fine too, but I think getting Fletcher out is your biggest concern.Open ControlsI was half planning a hit to get rid of Fletcher before he got injured, but this has convinced me a little more.
But once I decide on that I need to choose between Kone, Benteke and Berbatov.
I've got a gut feeling about Kone though, so I might go for him, I'm fully expecting Wigan's great escape to start any day soon 😉Open ControlsRemember about the Fulham DGW though 🙂 Kone is a great shout for afterwards, when he has a DGW though!
Open ControlsBerb to Kone afterwards makes sense.
Open Controls
Fletcher -> Berbatov. All day, every day.
Open ControlsHmm, I'm WCing for one of GWs 32, 33 or 34, probably 33, so I could easily bring in Berbs then.
Although, Berbs has QPR, new and Kone has NOR, qpr in the next two, its tough to choose between them as short term punts from my point of view, even though I love BerbsOpen ControlsI think Trig is right with Berba, gives you another DGWer. Berba goes up tonight too.
Open Controls
I'd probably go E) Archie for points and to help your budget for the DGWs.
Then maybe delay your WC to after GW33 to set yourself up for the next DGW. By which time we should know all the fixtures, with luck.Open ControlsCheers for the advice, Cazorla in for Wally would let me play him over Sissoko (mci) too, so a 4 point hit is probably worth it.
I guess was I to WC after the GW33 doubles I would have to live with the number of Arsenal/Everton/Fulham and United/Chelsea players I currently have.
Berbs would cover Fulham, Caz may/may not be enough for Arsenal, Fellaini back from his ban could be an option for Everton, but I have 2 FTs to load up.
And then depending on the United double, Rooney in or Chelsea cover in?
I'm still confused, I guess I have another 2 FTs plus hits to prepare if I WC after with the later doubles in mindOpen Controls
02.20 roughly
Open Controls
Walcott to Santi done.
Now just 3 injured, 1 suspended, one sure-to-be-rested Roonpig, and one "mystery knock" Sturridge to worry about.
It was all looking so good before the damn internationals...Open ControlsThe one that was meant to keep him out of the San Marino game. The one that has meant he has missed half the weeks I have owned him.
It seems to be a recurrence of the same injury each time. And Rodgers is wrapping him in cotton wool each time.
Actually, no specific reason to think he will miss other than the general sense of doom I feel about this week.Open Controls
Probably old. But they really could be brother & sister.
http://kingoflust.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/roman-pavlyuchenko-et-son-sosie.jpgOpen ControlsSuarez or Bale captain?
It's on Suarez right now.Open ControlsSwitched it to Bale there...not sure yet
Open ControlsSuarez at the moment, even if Liverpool choke and lose, they're likely to score and so he should be involved somehow.
Bale's magic touch couldn't quite save Wales, he had a mystery knock, I'm hoping he's fit, but I'll bank on Suarez for nowOpen Controls
Right gonna give another attempt at FM, night.
Open ControlsTeam at the moment for GW31 (BANK = £2.0m, 1 free transfer):
Begovic(eve)
Azpilicueta(sou) G.Johnson(avl) Davies(TOT)/Dawson(swa)
Sissoko(mci) Walcott(RDG) Mata(sou) Bale(swa)
Suarez(avl) Van Persie(sun) Benteke(LIV)
subs - Bunn, Dawson/Davies, Harte, Guthrie
Best route to take this week?
a) Walcott > Cazorla
b) Guthrie & Van Persie > Cazorla & Berbatov
c) Sissoko & G.Johnson > Cazorla & Mertesacker/Riether
d) Sissoko & Azpi > Cazorla & Jenkinson/O'Brien/Demel
e) Sissoko & Benteke > Cazorla & £6.2m FOR (Anichebe, Remy??)
f) Do nothing, start Davies and Dawson and hope Rafa doesn't fook me over.Open ControlsIf Walcott really isn't fit for a few weeks, A looks good.
I'd then see what happens on Monday before you start taking out United and Chelsea players for hits.Open ControlsB has the biggest upside i think in that Van Persie COULD start on the bench and United COULD win the replay however it could also go tits up very quickly if RVP is named in the starting XI Saturday lunchtime!
Open ControlsExactly this!
As a non-RVP owner, I'm terrified of the thought that he might start, if that helps at all.Open ControlsI've not idea if he will or won't. Sure he played 80+ minutes the other night but so did Rooney and Hernandez. Maybe Fergie will give us some insight on Friday although i'm not holding my breath
Open Controls
Dunno Dunny...but because you have the 2.0 mill you have the luxury of waiting for Friday pressers and/or any information between now and then....so it's gonna have to be e) Make a cup of tea....
Open Controlse) was: Sissoko & Benteke > Cazorla & £6.2m FOR (Anichebe, Remy??), not make a cup of tea
Open Controlslol.... i knew what he meant
Open Controls
Oh no doubt. Won't be doing anything till Friday at the earliest. The price rises are meaningless to me at this stage
Open Controls
I'd do nothing tonight and wait for news on Walcott, if he's definitely out, a straight swap to Caz looks good
Open ControlsCheers. The others are all a bit risky not to mention they come with a 4 point handicap!
Open Controls
6th April return for Walcott on PhysioRoom.
Don't shoot the messenger, but just saying, y'all.Open ControlsI think that can only be a guess. A lot of value to be lost in the meantime.
Open Controls
need to get rid of either Rafael or Azpil. too much rotation for the prices
HelpOpen ControlsHi, if anyone could help me out I;d very much appreciate it.
I'm going to wildcard before the doubles in 33, and Theo is currently in my team. Cazorla is the replacement I'm looking at and he's going up in price, but I'm doubtful he's a good option when Wilshere is around.
What is the most definitive news that we've had about Theo and Wilshere and whether they'll be fit for Reading?Open ControlsThere is nothing defnite until you hear Wenger on Friday. All we have had is a tweet from a 'reliable' Arsenal source to say Walcott definitely won't play on Saturday. No idea on Wilshere
Open ControlsWell, I have now got both. And Berbatov. 🙂
Open ControlsPhysioRoom and some guy who tweeted the Cazorla transfer first on Twitter both say Theo is out for 2-3 weeks.
Open ControlsThink it's a bit of a myth about Cazorla not being as influential while Wilshere's in the team. Wilshere played in the Reading game.
Open ControlsIt's not so much Wilshere vs non-Wilshere, it's centre-midfield vs. front-3. He's far better as a fantasy option when he's played as the most attacking player in the midfield 3, and he's less likely to get this role when Wilshere plays. His stats from games where he plays in the attacking wing position are genuinely not very good.
Open Controls
So annoyed I can't do Theo to Santi.
Open Controls😈
Open ControlsIt's driving me nuts. And I do not want to spending points.
Open Controls
Has Theo been ruled out or something? I have no idea what's going on, a little pissed.
Open ControlsTowelie, is that you?
Open ControlsNot confirmed. Would be lovely if he is actually fit.
Open Controls
So, if I make my transfer tonight, the Sheep will line up like this at the weekend:
Bego (Bunn)
GJ, Zaba, Bertrand (Davies, Pearce)
Mata, Bale, Cazorla, Michu (Maloney)
Rooney, Suarez (c), Remy
Everything look okay?Open ControlsYup, Maloney's a decent sub if Mata misses out, all looks good to me.
Walcott to Caz then?Open ControlsYep! I don't want Wally on my bench for weeks if he is injured, and I'll see who else is playing in the DGW before I decide to get him back.
Bertrand is going to get points for me before he becomes Jenks or Sagna, I can feel it!Open Controls
Snake, you got mail.
Open Controlsso Suarez ban, is it gonna happen?
Open Controlsyea can easily switch to Berba then. 😀
Open Controls
If he gets another yellow, yes.
Open Controls
Pepin, Walcott is out for Reading, lose all hope you have!
Open Controlsholy f youve been number 1 in the world. what happen?
Open Controls
Could do with some help….
de Gea.
Jose Enrique, Clichy, Wilson.
Bale, Mata, Walcott*, Michu.
Van Persie, Suarez(c), Lambert.
Subs: Bunn; Davies, Pearce, Guthrie.
1FT; £0.3m in the bank; 1 Wildcard 😀
Walcott sells for £8.7, Michu for £8.0m…Open ControlsI guess you want suggestions on who to get in for Walcott and Michu? Caz and .... ?
Open ControlsNo necessarily, just the best two week punts for either of the two...
Open ControlsI'm not sure how I'd squeeze Caz in, unless you downgrade Davies to a 4.0 or something else. Ox might be a good shout to downgrade Michu too as well, to really go nuts on Arsenal cover.
Open Controls
Lambert to Mitko B and play 4-3-3?
Open Controlscertainly fellow team india member
one week punt on oxlade chamberlain for walcott if hes def out
otherwise i think berba for lambertOpen ControlsMaybe just Walcott to Caz
Hold Michu this week ready for Norwich next week
then trade Michu for Fellaini DGW in 33???Open Controls
Dzeko dropped FOUR TIMES from GW29 to GW30 😯 How is that possible?
Open ControlsGW28-GW30
Open Controls
Yup.
Open Controls
How do we figure the hire of Adkins will have on Reading tactics wise? More attacking or defending? Before, to captain Suarez or Santi was a virtual toss up so I want to see if this gets pushed back into Santi's favor.
Open ControlsVilla and Reading both have to go out and attack, but Reading would be happier with a 0-0 than Villa would, if that makes any sense.
Open ControlsI reckon they will be more attacking as they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. They need about 4/5 wins if they have any chance of staying up...playing for 0-0's at this stage is useless to them.
Open Controls
Do Man City not have a GW33? What are their chances? What needs to happen?
Open Controls
