We’re carrying out another test of “HomeCrowd”, the new Fantasy Football Scout comments system, tomorrow. Those who with to take part in this test can get on board by emailing us at homecrowd@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

This is likely to be our last “closed” test of HomeCrowd prior to going live, although another short open “stress test” may follow early next week if required.

Invites should go out tomorrow morning and will include details of how to get involved.

Those who have already taken part in our earlier tests will get the invite as before.

This test is focused on the latest optimisation tweaks, some new features and, in the main, the new design.

Recent changes include:

  • Brand new design including new skin and emoticons.
  • Full Private Profiles now added with the ability to change password, display name etc.
  • Display names are now limited to those not currently used in another users display name or username. Basically, no two users can show the same display name.
  • Individual comments can now be locked by moderators and admins to prevent further replies.

All being well, we will be rolling HomeCrowd live early next week. We’re currently working on the importer to ensure that the changeover will be as seamless as possible – not easy with almost five million comments to import over. We’ll let you know on progress.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'm pretty sure the answer to this is Hreidarsson. He had a hilarious record back in the late 90s/early 2000s

I wouldn't blame Mancini for wanting out of city. His message was clearly that his side showed a lack of effort which he never felt he exhibited as a player, and I can't say I disagree. They are heartless outside a couple great players. He should go and take the Real job.

He's the one who picked those particular crop of players...If you buy unmotivated (!) soccer mercenaries then it's entirely down to you. I don't agree anyway...somebody on here said a couple of days ago that they were "over managed"...I agree 100%...rotated the life out of the team.

Yeah always a mixed bag but in his case he has had the funds to do something about it. Don't forget he's the one who welcomed back a player who ran off for months on end...if he forgives that then what else are the players getting away with ?...

I think selling Balo is a perfect example, Macini never would do for only 20m I think there are different folks pulling the strings, evidenced by this Pellagrini move. They think Mancini is the man portrayed in the media, and I think they are paying a lot of money to downgrade

Aye...Balotelli, what a bag of bones that turned into from every angle. But again Mancini has a hand in that, this four striker rotation routine does nobody any favours in the end...Balotteli wasn't happy with the situation...Teves cleared off for a few months because of it...and all four of them are/were so up and down in form and confidence/morale. It's madness.

There's not much else they can do though, their league is not as competitive and without large budgets will gladly give players a chance. In other leagues doing this could cause problems, just look at the youth at Aston Villa.

look at their records against european competition - consisently progress in champs league, europa league. If they played in England, they would be challenging top 4 all of the time. I know the league is weak, but their record speaks for itself.

Credit were credit is due, but could you see teams in more competitive leagues giving the chance to grow to undoubtedly talented youngsters? The players they nurture have potential, the difference is if they were part of say City or Chelsea or any big club, they wouldn't be played as often.

Academica should have passed in europe and is one of our worst teams - were taken out in 3 group games in last minute - same with braga. The league is a weaker league, but is consistently competitive. People think La liga is a great league, but look at their standings year in year out.

I think that when their is balance, you can absolutely scout and give younger hot prospects their chances. Porto never sells the team any one year, just always 1 or 2 players, but the core is always there. The problem in these bigger leagues is patience of ownership. Villas Boas made some great purchases in EPL, but Abromovich was hardly the guy to allow a coach to build a squad. If tottenham give him time, they will become a top club with the Porto model. He will get Damiao, and some other great signings if given the time. Even if Bale leaves, I have all the faith that he will get the job done. the only reason why talented youngsters dont get chances in these better leagues is simply that ownership and fans need titles today.

Spot on, but also that big clubs see it as detrimental to the team to play young players, and their attitude towards not giving prospects the chances they need. They'll just buy them when they're good seems to be the attitude in the Premier League. With such a money driven league it seems only Spurs, Liverpool and to a lesser extent Arsenal seem to be trying to build for the future.

It looks like he agrees with me that Tevez is not that good. Sounds like he prefers Yaya to Tevez to play behind the striker.

I've decided that he's out of his depth with the nitty gritty of man management Kostja. He's got a bunch of players together and struggles to manage them in an effective way. As somebody said on here earlier he's locked into placating his players more than he should be....who knows..but it sounds about right.

I really dont know what happened to them this year, it could have been the tinkering with the system. Silva has also been invisible. Every game I watch they are so slow with all their moves and opposing defense is always super comfortable against them. It really kind of seems like they dont know how to excecute Mancinis plan( or the plan just does not work). I would not be surprised if he is done at City.

Today was a great example...Watch the game back and look at the positioning at times...it's shockingly bad...Is that because he never settles on a team...?...I think so...

I can't see that he has those qualities though. Having said that it really is just a futile exercise at Chelsea to pin down players as on a team sheet....Truth is they play a far more fluid game than any other team in terms of positions during the game...

2 FT this week! On rank 1,672 now, I am leading my mini league but the number 4 guy is just 16 points behind! 😯
