The Sun Dream Team is now open for registration and Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce an official league, with The Sun offering a huge £1,000 prize to our winner.

Having had a few weeks to tinker with your starting XI, the serious business starts here. You can register your saved team, put together further lineups and create and enter leagues for the new season.

Select a free team and you can compete for £80,000 in prize money, but if you back yourself by opting for a Premium Package (two teams for £10 or six teams for £25), you’ll have more chances to win and be in the mix to win the full £500,000, whilst also earning the right to compete for the monthly game prizes, which make up £80,000 of the overall prize pot.

Joining and Creating Leagues

You can join or create up to ten leagues with any of your teams and set up your own leagues as you wish. The Sun Dream Team game offers real incentive to get involved – there’s a new Chairman’s prize pool of £10,000 available for those who manage to recruit ten or more managers to their league.

If you’re looking to join an ready-made league, you can challenge the likes of Ian Wright and Terry Venables with Dream Team allowing you to take on an array of celebrity managers.

The Scout League

You should also enroll in the official Fantasy Football Scout League, with Dream Team very kindly offering a £1,000 prize pot to the winner.

Once you register and create your team or teams, simply use the following PIN and password to enter.

League Name: Fantasy Football Scout
Password: ReWOZhn1T1
PIN: 8061654

You’ll find these details on the middle column of the homepage from this point on.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    A) Soldado, Sessegnon

    OR

    B) Stick with Coutinho, Dzeko and keep 2.0m in the bank?

The big transfer issues in the EPL:

    Bale
    Rooney
    Suarez

The clubs are telling us, the fans that pay for the clubs to exist, that they are ll injured 🙄

    Obviously complete lies.

I feel the clubs have a duty not to disrespect us.

    So they do.

    Boruc/Mannone
    Toure Coleman Murner Brayford Chester

    RVP/Lukaku/Aspas

    Thoughts/opinions appreciated 🙂

Not sold on Mannone, still not clear he's first choice
      Chester not nailed on
I think there's better options than Silva for 9.0
same goes for Delph, Delph isn't even a guaranteed 2 points per game, he's a card magnet.

Thanks JK. Chester and Mannone are easy to put right. Your Delph point acknowledged... but its a massive season for him and he has impressed in pre-season, so he's a punt at 4.5m. Silva I will have to disagree with you on 🙂

the entire key to not having RVP is not caring if he scores a brace and backing the players you have. People who don't have him have to be prepared for him to score a lot of goals.

Benteke > Soldado GW2 is a terrible move, he ripped Liverpool apart last season and Soldado is completely unproven. I'd only do that if Soldado scored week one and Benteke got sent off. Basically I'd just avoid planning ahead altogether.

Also, don't bench Anelka. It's asking for trouble. I like it in general but I'd downgrade one of your front eight to bench fodder and upgrade O'Shea and Reither.

Not a good idea to have transfers planned, a lot of things can happen that'll need transfers to fix, what if O'shea won't play, he wasn't on the best terms with Di Canio last season if I remember correctly, what if Coleman won't be oop, what if Hazard really gets rotated much as Mourinho said, what's Anelka will play as he did in China last season etc etc...

I could be wrong, but hasn't O'Shea been given the captaincy? Surely the captain will start and Sunderland's fixtures look good to me. And Riether was Fulham's "Player of the Year" last season. Great attacking potential. Do you think Anelka will be a regular in West Brom's starting 11? Could be more of a super-sub. My main concern is Kagawa.

Posting a RMT and then instantly getting called away to a meeting is so frustrating.

Thanks to both Dogba and Baines on Toast for your replies.

Dogba - I will make the call on the city striker right after the first GW before any rises so I should be able to cope on that front.

On your slight difference to my team, I have also been toying with Sturridge/Silva but not quite convinced on Silva as yet.

Baines on Toast - Glad you like my slightly left wing captain choice of JT. I had Ivanovic captain for GW1 last season and that paid off handsomely 😉 so hopefully it will be more of the same.

    FFS UEFA IS BACK

I hope most of you have registered by now but for those who haven't, or for those who don't know what it is, registration for Season Three of the FFS UEFA leagues is now open. You can register at

    http://uefacouncil.wordpress.com/

Here you will find a link to the registration form, and, for those newbies who aren't familiar with us, you can find some info as to what we're all about.

I know that Doosrea and Gink have a league, as does ITWT, and Torres Magic has a few, but there's nothing like FFS UEFA. But be be quick, applications close this Friday 9 August.

Doesn't matter if you're never going to sell them though. As long as you're keeping Migs it doesn't matter how much your back-up costs... and if it lasts more than half the season then it won't matter then whether your back-up costs 4.0 or 3.9.

There are valid arguments against this strategy, but that ain't one.

No. Because your team value will drop right away and if migs is rested, injured, etc. You have no back up.
And when he is away to man city, man utd, etc. You have to accept 1 point ish

My reply was to Baines, but I also disagree with your assessment. It isn't a given that 4.0 GKs will drop in value. Plenty of 4.0 bench warmers last year ended the season at 4.0, but even if they do drop to 3.9, it's pretty irrelevant if you're using a 1GK strategy and never intend to sell your bench warmer anyway.

There's no chance of Migs being rested and I'm happy to risk the 2-6 points which stand to be lost from a surprise between-game injury. Personally I think it's a small enough risk not to waste 0.5m as a safety net, but YMMV.

Oh how I remember the discussions on this last year. I said all along that the DDG+4.0 keeper option would fail and was very happy with the Jaask+Bego (4.5+4.5) combo that I ended up going with. Unfortunately the 4.5 combo's aren't rotating so well this time round 🙁

Greetings again, good people of FFS.

First of all, big credit to the mods and general powers that be here. Some really nice, logical upgrades to the site since last year - only too happy to chuck you my £12 in return.

On to the business at hand - cheapish midfielders

    1) Can anyone give me a tip - or cry of howay the lads - in favour of Sissoko or Cabaye. I have a gut feeling for Cabaye, but that extra 0.5m freed up by Sissoko looks tempting.

    2) Is there anything I am missing for the Snodgrass love? Looking at stats for the 2nd half of last season, there seem to be better bets.

    3) Wanyama - the new budget Yaya Toure?

Sissoko could be playing further forward, is cheaper, more explosive - he's the one who could shoot up in price early on, Cabaye is more of a long term option, not too exciting, not the sort to be starting with.

With Newcastle investing heavily in forwards, with Remy already secured and them sniffing around Gomis and Bent, I think Sissoko has lost his attraction. I think he'll play wide, not in the hole as he prefers. Cabaye could be a good pick - but I would prefer Snoddy at the same price. What in particular puts you off Snoddy? I think Norwich, with their forward investment, will be more prolific this season which should yield more assists for him.

Wanyama - I'm a saints fan and I can see him staying fairly shackled to holding midfield. He was by no means a regular scorer for Celtic in a less challenging league. Can't see that changing.

Snoddy - Its really just a case of Nolan/Cabaye/Sissoko all had a better return in the 2nd half of last season, and Norwich have fairly poor fixtures.

As a number cruncher at heart I've started off my team from some terribly exciting spreadsheets of points per game per £m cost. Fun. But I am yet to crawl through all the team signings to see where there might be added (or lost) value.

well dzeko is 7.5 & arguably as talented as the other city strikers valued at 9-9.5 yet all are in a similar position in terms of rotation so yeah, they probably should be less... the only one i'd agree with is soldado as he'll likely play more

I would've hoped that their price tags were a tad more lenient as they haven't proved themselves in EPL yet. like a 8.0/8.5

I've already got him pencilled into my draft next to Fabregas.

But then Madrid will sign him back in January and reveal it was all a plan to make him the most expensive player ever again.

Ronaldo recently signed a new contract with Madrid, so you'll be waiting a few years for that deadline day move

Guys I been thinking of an alternative team what do you guys think?

    boruc (vorm)
vidic - Ivan - mert (Bradford - Parr)
ramires - Carrick - mirallas - snod (Kim)
    benteke - RVP - lukaku

Was thinking benteke > Soldado after the dgw and I have 2m left to maybe change ramires at some point as well

    What do you think? Risky?

One of the better RVP teams I've seen, but yea, I'd change Ramires at some point

Midfield is to light which means you have too much invested in defence for an RVP team. It is just too risky going without all of Walcott, Hazard, Coutinho and Silva. Downgrade Vidic and upgrade Ramires or Carrick to one of those. You can then transfer Ivan to Vidic after the DGW. I would even downgrade Benteke as well (maybe to Dzeko) and upgrade another mid.

Thanks it's been noted by someone else to downgrade vidic and then I changed ram to hazard

I'm slowly going off the Dzeko bandwagon if I'm honest, I thought benteke purely for the DGW and then with a view to trans in gw2 and that way I get to see how some of the city strikers or even soldado has done so far

Would you keep carrick? What do you think about what I said?

Remember this was originally intended as an "alternative" team though 🙂
