Seriously though, Soldado is a much, much better player than Defoe. Once he gels with the team, you'll see what he can do.

I'm not saying Sol is a bad player, far from it! I'm not judging him on 5 games I've seen him many a time for Valencia. You're obviously a big fan. The Premiership is a much tougher league than La Liga and Soldado is finding that out.

Defoe 418 games 152 goals = 2.75 games per goal
Soldado 334 games 167 goals = 2 games per goal
with Defoe on the decline and Soldado heading into his peak, i'd say Soldado is a significantly better goal getter, but when you factor in that for Soldado its a new league, a new team and a new culture to adapt to, there wont be much in it in the short term.

might be worth looking at the average number of goals per game for La Liga and the EPL but i'd imagine them to be fairly close.
Thing is, if you think La Liga is inferior to the EPL (which i'd say ther aint much in it) then you could argue that Soldado got his goals in a weaker side than Defoe so it swings both ways.
If La Liga turns out to be a goal fest, then yes, he's more likely to have his figures skewed by league conditions.Open Controls

That stat about Noble - He did something similar last season, racking up plenty of chances created with no end result. It took him 21 gameweeks and 29 chances created to register his first assist.
