In the first instalment of a new, weekly article for members, we conduct some in-depth statistical analysis into one of the most crucial aspects in any given Gameweek – just who we entrust with the Fantasy armband. This week the options are plentiful – Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham all feature at home, City travel to basement-dwellers Sunderland, while a couple of Belgians are also in the running as clear captain contenders. With an array of talent on show, just who is “Captain Sensible”?

In Tommy We Trust Let's talk AllThingsFPL.com or let's talk about the weather. Your choice - Is it sunny where you are? Follow them on Twitter

    Vomr (Inj) - Boruc
    Coleman (cry) - Ward (EVE) - Toure (FUL) - Riether (Sus) - Collins (Inj)
    Morrison (nor) - Oscar (WBA) - Ramsey (mun) - Barkley (cry) - Michu (Inj)
    Aguero (sun) - Suarez (FUL) - Sturridge (FUL)

    Bank = 1,8M
    1FT

    Problem : I got 4 players out this round, and need to make either 1 or 2 transfers to sort it out. Also, i really dont want to play Ward, -cause Palace is shit.

    Possible fixes :
    A: Riether --> Terry
    B: Riether --> Terry and Michu --> Nasri (-4p)
    C: Riether --> Nastasic and Michu --> Hazard (-4p)
    D: Any other suggestions?

    The only midfielder i really want is Silva, but i am not sure if he is fit for the weekend.

    Any suggestions or advice would be very much appriciated! =)

        I am leaning towards that myself as well. As i dont mind playing the other 4 midfielders, and i can take a small moneydrop on Michu.

        If Silva is fit for the weekend, would it be worth a hit to bring him in?

        Mourinho was asked to confirm if Eden Hazard was left out of the game due to missing a training session…
        'I don't want to lie, he is not injured,' said the manager. 'He is a kid and kids make mistakes and fathers, they have to be clever in the way they educate their sons. Mignolet (Boruc)
    Ivanovic, Walker, Fonte, Rat (Jones)
    Ozil, Ramsey, Silva (Januzaj, Parker)
    Lukaku, Suarez, Sturridge

    Boruc (Migs)
    Walker, Shaw, Nastacic, Coleman
    Barkley, Ramsey, Townsend, Oscar (Michu)
    Suarez, Aguero (Lukaku)

    Do you think it's safe for me to get into the game week with the above team or I need to make a transfer? Michu to....??? Yaya maybe??

      Team looks fine so save the FT.

      It's possible that Michu won't drop again before the GW and then you can pick up the next bandwagon and ride it out for the Int. break.

      Of course, people will start to sort their teams out in the next two days and Michu could drop again.

      I would bench Barkley and bring Lukaku in. Even though he is still at "75%", he is a beast and he will play and he will tear them apart.

    I can see the benefit of bringing in Snod or Sess or Cab and the likes.

    But I think I'll still do Michu -> Wally with my FT this week.

    I can bench him and play Oscar, Ramsey, Morrison, Brady then at least I'll have Wally in my back pocket and ready to use when he fully returns after the break.

    Or can anyone else suggest a red hot one week punt?

          A or E for me.

          I don't like losing Baines and I don't trust Coutinho after a long injury lay off and only 45min.

      I'd wait on Walcott - Coutinho and Silva are by far the best premium replacements imo, with the 3 cheaper options also a good idea to raise funds for upgrades next week.

      Have a similar dilemma myself above - your thoughts?

      There's a huge clamour to get Wally in, which I find quite hard to understand. He was underwhelming before he got injured and has been out for quite a while, no guarantee that he's going to hit the ground running.

      No idea who the better replacement is though... I might finally swallow my pride and get Ramsey, but I'm not happy about it!

          One thing to bear in mind though is that France are one of the few teams to have two competitive matches during the international break playing the Ukraine in the WC play-off's with the second game the away one.

          The long distance travel plus the energy used up means there's a greater chance he gets rested on his return than most players returning from two friendlies.

    This article makes Hazard even more tempting to me. Flat-track bully with flat-track fixtures to come. A little "rest" midweek, probably some rest over the break... CL qualification is all but done. Captaincy contender this week... I was thinking maybe Ramsey but, I don't want to 🙁

    Team Below:

          regardless of team, I'd say Liverpool. My reasoning is that with Coutinho back, Rodgers should revert to a 442 or risk spreading his team too wide. I can't see Cissokho, GJ, Coutinho, Suarez and Sturridge all playing high up the pitch. Different case with Hendo as he is more disciplined defensively.

          Probably be a back 4, with Lucas Hendo Moses Coutinho and SAS up top. Pure hypothetical though, but it's no secret Pool defend better with a back 4.

    Mourinho quote on Hazard from official Chelsea website:

    Mourinho was asked to confirm if Eden Hazard was left out of the game due to missing a training session…
    'I don't want to lie, he is not injured,' said the manager. 'He is a kid and kids make mistakes and fathers, they have to be clever in the way they educate their sons. He didn't play, he wanted to play, he is sad because he didn't play, we won without him and Saturday he is back, end of story.'

            Oscar wasn't too involved in the goals, but he put in an amazing shift closing down, chasing balls and tackling like he was de Jong all of a sudden. He had one exquisite chipped goal but was offside. I reckon he'll start, subbed off at 80 to rest a little.

    Looks like I'll be benching Brady at my peril.

    Barkley v Brady

    Its been a tough one but finally cracked it:

    Barkley was in good form start of season but has drifted off, hes played more minutes recently.
    Brady was also in good form start of season but then with the injury? has been out and perhaps isnt fully match fit.

    If equal fixtures it would be Brady to play however just realised Barkley played bottom of the league CPL whereas Brady plays best defence in the league Southampton....

    Go on Barkley give 'em 'ell...
