In the first instalment of a new, weekly article for members, we conduct some in-depth statistical analysis into one of the most crucial aspects in any given Gameweek – just who we entrust with the Fantasy armband. This week the options are plentiful – Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham all feature at home, City travel to basement-dwellers Sunderland, while a couple of Belgians are also in the running as clear captain contenders. With an array of talent on show, just who is “Captain Sensible”?

In Tommy We Trust Let's talk AllThingsFPL.com or let's talk about the weather. Your choice - Is it sunny where you are? Follow them on Twitter

Ramsey is obviously here to stay...so here's my dilema...My brother was one of the very few owners who had him from the beginning (with Yaya)....Should I be sporting and allow him his pick...or nab Ramsey...What would you do?...bear in mind I'm not too bothered about overall rank.

Aye..I think a wide berth to be sporting...Maybe take my chances with Rooney/Aguero/Suarez up front...He's had some great picks but not watched his budget so I can maybe outdo him on that front.

That has nothing to do with being sporting. It's like saying, hey my opponent scored a nice goal, should I be sporting and let him win?

If you think Ramsey will keep scoring, get him in. It's a game, there's no fun if you don't try to do well in it.

Oscar is only nailed on attacking player in Che. He was on bench twice in the league and both times it was the match after int. break. 1st time he was dropped, Che lost to Eve. He is playing no. 10. Hazard may be more xplosive but Oscar will be more consistent. It will be like, Hazard 5 3 14 3 2, Oscar 7 6 3 2 10 8.

35+ is a little too much. But i don't understand why people think he wont keep this up. Cant he be a better player and improved. He always had potential. When Wenger signed him Utd and Eve were also interested. Its been only 2 years when he came back from that serious injury. His game time in league is still a concern but with his price, his potential and the club he plays for, he is a season-keeper for me.

Mourinho also publicly said that luiz lampard cole amd hazard will be dropped from the team to get a reaction out of them. The commentators at the start of the game said even if hazard did train that"he needed a kick up the backside for losing the ball too much and not tracking back defensively like mourinho likes"

He's done well this season but in the FPL with the likes of Suarez, Aguero, Sturridge, Rooney, RvP, Lukaku, Benteke...I find it hard justifying a place for him in the front 3, especially since the Arsenal midfielders are actually producing.

    Tempted by Michu > Schurrle

    - Hazard not certain to be recalled
    - Oscar subbed off and according to WhoScored Chelsea's lowest rated player tonight
    - Schurrle 3 shots, 2 on target tonight
    - Schurrle only 7.3 compared with Hazard's 9.1 and Oscar's 9.0, so good value here
    - So not the end of the world if he get's rotated 1 game in ~5 or so
    - An obvious differential
    - Probably as much if not more goal threat than both of them

    Thoughts?

I agree that Schurrle is tempting. (He has been on my own radar for a couple of weeks, too.) But the Chelsea midfield is so unpredictable, with SO many good players fighting for the places... It's still too much of a gamble for me.

But I'd applaud your guts if you went for it. Great player, great value, great differential, great potential... but no guarantee he'll get games, and not just the odd 1 point cameo. High risk, high reward...

I think A. He scored 2 in their last 'straightforward' home game against Cardiff - he's perfect for a match like this. Don't want him angry when he's off for an international break - want him leaving in good spirits, and what better than WBA at home. I am bringing him in.

During the int. breaks he missed a lot of trainings with the Belgian squad because his achilles heel was overburdened. I am actually more surprised he played this often.

So does this bolster Sunderland prior to the expected Man City points haul, as they won 2 from 2 at home under big Gus??
