With Wayne Rooney suspended and Robin Van Persie still a doubt for United’s home game with Newcastle, Paddy Power have delivered yet another tempting offer for new customers. Our bookmaker friends are offering improved odds of 6/1 on Javier Hernandez to score anytime against the Magpies in tomorrow lunchtime’s Old Trafford encounter:

When you consider that the regular odds of the Mexican netting over the 90 minutes are a mere 11/10, it’s pretty obvious this is great deal for those yet to sign up with Paddy. If you don’t have an account and fancy a piece of the action, click here to join up and take advantage of the offer.

To clarify, the Hernandez enhanced odds specials are limited to a £10 stake, open to new Paddy Power customers only and subject to the terms and conditions specified.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    Thoughts on Amalfitano??
    About to do-.

    Townsend- Shelvey
    Barkley (or Morrison)- Amalfitano-

    Good moves?
Is it right to keep Morrison over Barkley??

the WBA midfield is a potential minefield - can't predict where the points will come from Amalfitano, Sess, Brunt and Morrison will all score points but its hard to know which one (Sinclair too if he plays)

I have 10 players currently playing and 2FTs. I am very aware that this is the 3rd game of the week and as such we should be prepared for more players to be rotated. Which of the following do you see at risk of rotation?

    Migs
    Moxey Burner Coleman
    Hazard Coutinho Ramsey Amalfitano
    Suarez (C) Aguero

    Camp*, Ravel* Rooney* Clyne* Murner*

    * = won't play

Of the starters, don't see any at risk of rotation. Ramsey might have the rest issue but not the right game to do it.

What are your plans with the 2 FTs?

I'm concerned about Ramsey and Aguero. Not saying they will be rested, just both have important UCL games next week and both started the last two.

Put it this way, I wouldn't be surprised to see either getting a bench role this weekend.

It's add Ozil to that list but you don't have him.

The only one I can see getting rested is Hazard and even then I think there is a very small chance.

All your defenders are nailed on, and defenders are rarely rested at smaller clubs anyway.

Rodgers has already said Liverpool can't cope without Coutinho and Sturridge so Coutinho will play provided he's fit. Ramsey won't be rested against Everton, he's a machine and Wenger will need our best side vs Everton. Amalfitano I'm not sure on really? They have a few options but I've no reason to believe he won't play given he's played every game.

Suarez obviously won't be rested, and Aguero get's his rest from 70 minutes onwards once City are ahead.

just spent half an hour doing analysis in gk combos as i have myhill and borauc who will both become reduntant in two gw's when foster returns....basically have two options:

A: upgrade one of myhill and boruc to a big hitter i.e. howard and start him till jan WC in gw24...
B: change both keepers to a rotating combo and just play the gk with the home game

    Conclusion:
A will 10.3m on my keepers, will take 1FT and i will field howard for 4 away games
B will cost 9.1m using speroni/marshall, will involve a hit though as i need 2 transfers

Decided to go for B as having 1.2m to spend on rest of the team is worth more then the 4 point hit i will have to take plus in terms of cs wise, i think they will get the same clean sheets 🙂

Tough call. I say upgrade Boruc (cos he's more expensive) to Howard.

Keep Myhill til WC as Foster seems to be taking longer than usual, and fix him at WC. Would be more than comfortable playing Howard for every game til WC, don't see the benefit of rotating keepers.

Could rotate CAR/CRY defence with 2 4.0 defenders, of which i'm sure you have 1 already

well my current selling value for boruc 4.7 and myhill value is 4.5 so not much diff..clarke said that foster will be ready in a fortnight so max another two gw's from myhill till he becomes deadwood.

i agree everton's fixtures are good but i always prefer to start gk/def that have home games. the cost is biggest factor for me...1.2m diff between howard/myhill vs. marshall/speroni. the fix from gw 17 will be:

howard/myhill: swa SUN SOT sto NOR wba liv
marshall/speroni: NEW SOT SUN NOR WHM STO HULL

          Looks like you've already decided

But fact is you can get that same rotation for 8.0. Not sure which defenders you have but by downgrading one to a 4.0, you already save that 1.2m probably.

Howard has a good chance of clean sheets as well so the question is whether you'd rather rotate your keeper or rotate your defenders. If you have a CRY/CAR defender already and get Marshall/Speroni, you'll be looking at doubling up on CAR or CRY most weeks. I wouldn't be comfortable with that.

What's the rest of your defence?

totally agree that i can get the same combo in def for 8m, but there is a bigger pool of cheap def then cheap goalies. playing howard for 4 away games out of 7 isnt sitting too well with me though

current def is: vidic mert dawson burner olson. your argument would be to downgrade one these big hitters to ward which will give me 3 cheapies...

tough decisions, you def make valid points

Yea not ideal having 4 away games for EVE but I would only get him in GW16, so that's FUL swa SUN SOT sto NOR wba liv in the next 8.

Last 2 away games are in January and I might already have used my WC by then. Before that, it's only swansea and stoke away. Fancy everton getting a clean sheet in one of those games. Plus the likelihood of an Everton cleansheet is way better than CAR/CRY...their cleansheet potential is massively massively overrated on here. Good fixtures on paper doesn't mean jack when it comes to teams of their quality.

I'm comfortable having Howard as keeper and rotating 3 4.0s alongside 2 5.0s. Vidic hasn't done you any favours has he?

I see what you're saying and there's an argument to be made for both sides.

that being said, just giving you an insight to my plans. From GW16 i'm happy to have this defence

              Howard 4.0
Coleman Kosc Chester BTurner Ward, and rotate the 4.0s for now. Not ideal but it allows quite a killer mid and attack.

well if you are going to change both your keepers, i would def prefer a rotating combo for the home games.

howard will get cleansheets but i will rather have coleman at the same price as howard with much more point upside for attacking potential.

Lalla is 7M now. I think 2 out of those 3 (Roo/Kun/Suarez) is good enough. Ideally, you could switch them from time to time, but that's pretty hard to manage.

Michu -> Hazard was turning point of my season. And it was quite exciting. Him missing a practise, not making a team for UCL match. Then starting vs Baggies and getting that radiculous panalty in injury time. . .
