The Gameweek continues with a quartet of three o’clock kick-offs, culminating in a relegation scrap in South Wales as Cardiff host basement dwellers Sunderland.

All eyes will be on the Manchester clubs, however, as City and United face fixtures that, on paper, look profitable for Fantasy mangers. Wayne Rooney’s relentless form has another opportunity to come to the fore at Carrow Road, while City’s Etihad juggernaut has its engines running and is aimed squarely at the bus likely to be parked by Tony Pulis’ Palace.

We’re expecting big points all round and a potential rollercoaster of an afternoon before the evening clash brings us back down to a simmer.

As always, look to our Twitter feed for the latest teamsheet news while our Dugout Discussion chatroom remains open to cater for your real-time chatter needs.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Frankly FPL should have an entry for the top 1.1 million rank teams on the basis of overall score for the Cup. Fighting against dead teams is a nuisance.

Would also stop random people making teams for the cup in GW17.

I don't mind minnows. I'd like actually managed minnows.

Not a minnow with players who were injured for long and just returned who score.

Disagree, everyone should be in it - and that's from someone who virtually always gets knocked out by a dead team.

Bar one great journey to the final 32 many years ago.

there are lots of live teams below he 1.1m mark - and a lot of dead teams below it

The only possibility would be to exclude teams that hadn't shown signs of activity for, say, 4 weeks.

Nah.. got knocked out by a live team.. was pretty good one actually..

Just don't think 2.1 million players make sense when not even 1.5 are actively managing teams at GW18.. also a lot of people faced teams made in GW17 for the sole purpose of the cup..

        That's something I don't agree with.

How many other Yaya owners just knew that Man City was going to score as soon as they said he was ready to come on? I know I did. I sat there dreading the advancing push, just knowing in my heart that they would score and Yaya would go back to the bench. What else should I expect in this most frustrating of Fantasy seasons?

Of course it isn't. It gives the differential. Many had captained Rooney, Negredo or Touré. The brave had, for example, Dzeko. Okay, not amazing points, but 16 to 18 points difference is a difference. Also, some had Hull players on field. Some didn't. Again: difference. Just because the majority of people here didn't have anybody getting points today doesn't mean nobody had. Tomorrow may even be less important, as the teams are more identical on players playing tomorrow than those playing today, so today likely even made the bigger difference.

Wow down from 100/1! Nothing would be a surprise with him really.

I wouldn't be surprised if he registered as a player in January and played a Cup match or something.
