We delve into the data once again ahead of tomorrow’s fast-approaching Gameweek 26 deadline. Hull’s new Croatian frontman and Palace’s debutant are amongst the assessed, whilst we also examine City’s recent goal drought, Tottenham’s Togolese talisman and a couple of in-form wide men who racked up the weekend returns:
How many games did Brown get banned for?
Open Controls2 I think, not sure though.
Open ControlsIt is 2.
Open ControlsJackie Brown. Great film.
Open Controls🙂 Hi there.
Open Controls
Thanks guys, third red of the season, I was expecting it to be more.
Open Controls
Can West Ham potentially miss gw 29?
Open ControlsI'm gonna say yes.
Open Controls
Love the amount of glamour transfers being considered this week to tidy up benches . Personally its Gabbidon > Ward if the Liverpool game is postponed.
Open ControlsPretty sure I'm doing Chester-> Demel tonight.
Open ControlsI warned someone earlier on Demel, he struggles with 2 games in a week. He'll probably will start at least due to no other RB being fit, but hes not nailed on for tomorrow.
Open ControlsReally man? The reason I'm going for him because I don't know who's nailed-on in the centre.
Open ControlsYou got any Hammers fans forum links for me?
Open ControlsKUMB.com is the one I use.
No one is nailed unfortunately until Reid returns to the starting line up.Open Controls
Chester > West Ham defender is where it's at.
Open ControlsYou're the only person I've seen on here apart from me with Jedinak as their 5th mid.
Open Controls
Mannone Adrian
Bruce Vlaar Kosc Azpi Ward
Lallana Yaya Hazard Puncheon Noone
Suarez Sturridge Bony
1FT 2.4 in the bank
A) Bruce to Yoshida?
B) Noone to ?
C) another move
D) Save transferOpen Controlsand can I get a quick RMT (particularly as to subs and captain, and generally)...
Boruc
Coleman, Collins, Ivanovic
Hazard (vc), Mata, Lallana, Sterling
Sturridge, Dzeko, Suarez (c)
subs: K. Davis; Eriksen, Bertrand, WardOpen ControlsStill very confused whether to get Silva or Yaya for Johnson or get Miralles or Nolan?
Open ControlsLost on last page
With Terry out my current defense is mertesacker, shaw, bruce and Gabbidon. As bruce and gabbidon are unlikely to play should I take -4 hit to replace Bruce with Somebody else. And if so who? Can go up to 6.1! Possible options:
A. Bruce > McShane
B. Bruce > Cahill/Ivanovic
C. Bruce > West Ham defender (maybe collins)Open ControlsAs if I wasn't stressed enough, I start an new job tomorrow. The game better be on 😆
Open ControlsWouldn't be starting tomorrow if it was
Open Controls
If pool is cancelled, I have Noone, Ward and Chester currently on bench, hence I'll need to take a hit to field 11. Aaargh.
Chester > SomeoneOpen ControlsMy early acquisition of Sterling for Ki to go alongside SAS is looking pants... Early transfers never amount to anything positive 🙁
Open ControlsI am guessing an imminent price rise motivated your Sterling transfer.
Same here.Open Controls
Anyone else think Azpi could be benched versus WBA?
Open ControlsProbably some saudi arabian newspaper
Open Controls
Anybody think Thievy will get a start for WBrom this week ? Anelka still listed as injured and Anichebe's..well..Anichebe..
Open ControlsLooked good but so has Berahino and Vydra has started over him. Impossible to say
Open Controls
We wonder why casuals, as they are called, are doing so well this season. Classic example right here. People on here being whipped up into a frenzy, not bringing in players they had planned on, looking even to sell their Pool players/captain someone else. Meanwhile Bob in accounting will log in, buy Sterling, Captain Suarez, Vice Captain Sturridge and log out. The game will go ahead, Bob will log in again in a few days after seeing highlights to find his Pool players earned him 50 points. He'll be happy and log off again. All the while absolute Armageddon will be occurring on here as swathes of FPL "Pros" cry and tear their hair out over what they've done.
The casuals' time has come, we're finished 😯Open ControlsOr.. they all have Suarez(c) Yaya(vc), The game is called off and Yaya gets a hat-trick of penalties vs Sunderland 😉
Open ControlsI'm thinking of adopting a new approach next season.
Casual GW1-28
Seasoned FPL spreadsheet making maestro GW29-38Open ControlsI prefer to call them the unintentionally patient. Casualist 😉
Open ControlsIt was like the time everyone on here was convinced by some rumour that RVP was out. Then he played and scored a hat trick. Or something.
Open Controls
Ohhhhh mannnn.
Tube strike would be purrrrfectttttttt.
ML opponent has 3 LIV attackers.Open ControlsI really hope Arsenal aren't so demoralised from their Anfield humbling, that Utd could actually beat them. If that happens, we'll be hearing things like.. "massive confidence boost for Utd" and "maybe this could be the game to turn things around".
I hope Arsenal kick them (HARD) while they're down. Imagine they missed out on Europa Cup... 🙂Open ControlsI really hope Utd don't get Europa League and I'm a United fan. It's be a disaster.
Open Controls
I have held off on loading up on pool assets, whilst many of my fellow mini leaguers are up to their nuts in suarez, sturridge, sterling etc. I could really enjoy that game being cancelled.
Anyone with me?Open ControlsIf the Fulham v Liverpool game is called off how many people will struggle to field 11 players this week??
Open ControlsMost have Suarez,I doubt a lot have three Pool players like myself. I had three players dropped last gameweek who were all predicted by the majority of papers to start. I will be seriously f**king hacked off beyond belief.
Open Controls
I have three Pool players, why are the games at West Ham and Arsenal safe but not Fulham, is Fulham really that imcompetent or are they looking more time to prepare for the match? I'll be seriously hacked off if it is called off.
Open Controlsall depends if fulham can get the staff to the ground in time. If the strike goes ahead then the game is off in my opinion
Open ControlsCan they not bring the staff in early and pay them overtime???
Or is that too simple???Open ControlsI don't think so, they will have to make alternative arrangements or they should get docked points.Do you think the other relegation threatened teams or Liverpool are going to allow this to go ahead unchallenged when it put them at a disadvantage?
Open Controls
So what to do about this bunch of players:
Dzeko - Is he injured or not, 3rd after Negredo/Jovetic?
Bony - Took him for his good run of fixtures... got me 1, 2 and 8
Terry - Currently injured, should be back soon right?
Januzaj - In my book one of Man u best players this season, but not enough game time.
Kolarov - Would be great if he could play every game, but that's not the case.
Yes I got all 5 of them, don't really need to switch someone out, but it feels like I have been loosing my momentum the last 2 game weeks.
Already used my free transfer this week on Eriksen to Mirallas
Other players I have are Coleman, Merts, Shaw, Hazard, Lallana, Yaya, SuarezOpen ControlsKeep - Terry & Januzaj
Ditch - Bony & Dzeko
Hmmmm - KolarovOpen Controls
Team for the GW
Marshall (Mannone)
Cahill, Kos, Kolarov
Lallana, Erikson, Yaya, Mata
Suarez, Bony, Ade
Subs - Ki,Ward, Bruce
Keep the FT or do
A - Nolan in for Ki
B - Sterling in for Ki (subject to tomorrow)
C - Coleman for Bruce
D - Collins for BruceOpen ControlsIn Australia so don't know the situation with the tube strike....but every season I here about it, surely something should have been done by now.....
Open ControlsYou would think unions wouldn't exist by now, but shockingly, they do, and every year they have demands and as unions do, they tell their members to go on strike. Fascinating.
Open Controls'Shockingly'. 😕
Open ControlsDon't know if you've dabbled in labor economics much, but in a nutshell, unions are the most inefficient labor concept you can imagine.
Open ControlsThey seem to manage fairly well with them in Germany.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trade_unions_in_GermanyOpen ControlsThe problem is that trade unions are the ones who never stick to the agreements made.
If a different sector gets a better set of working conditions, the unions change the goalposts and create an unstable situation via blackmail.Open ControlsI am guessing from the way that you have changed the subject from how trade unions work very efficiently in Germany and are simply making statements of unsubstantiated anti-union opinion dressed up as fact, that you have no interest in actually discussing how unions can be effective, or what their role is.
Getting better working conditions would seem to me to be a worthy goal, for both workers and business owners.Open ControlsSo, your average working man can't stand up for himself?
He lets the unions fight for more money AFTER he agrees to do the work?
The unions use bullying tactics and, for example, the average man in the street can't get to work of a simple football match because the unions force strike action.
Very productive.Open ControlsThat is exactly it - the average working person can very rarely stand up for themselves.
Organised, they can.
What you say is wrong-headed. Without unions the employers are often the bullies. Strike action is not taken lightly.
I met a US HR person in the UK once who bewailed our labour laws because it meant she could not just sack whomever she pleased without a serious reason. She didn't get it.
In this case it is about manned ticket offices in tube stations, In Johnson's 2010 election manifesto he promised to ensure that "there is always a manned ticket office in every station".Today the closure of ticket offices is being billed as something which tube workers should have been expecting all along – despite the fact that the mayor had been saying the opposite for a number of years.
So the tube workers are taking a stand.
Fair play to them.
Workers rights are a serious issue that shouldn't just be disregarded because a strike may cause an inconvenience to you. If there is a strike it is generally the employer who is at fault. The unions are not so stupid to take a stand on something that is unwinnable.
But back to Germany - at BMW etc etc they have uion reps on the board. And they seem to manage fairly well.
Problem here is that opinion is controlled too much by the business interests so many people believe the lie that it is the unions that are the problem.Open Controls
Lol, politics and economics that simple in Aussieland?
Open ControlsThat would be great.
That way the people who own stuff could make more profits and exploit the people who work for them with impunity.
Its just what we need in this country - less power for the working people.
Three cheers for Boris for standing up for what is best for all of us!Open ControlsExactly.
Get out there and work for your money. Accept that companies are out to make a profit and not there for your social needs.Open ControlsNope.
Some of my friends parents went through the miners strike. They were worse off afterwards because of the irrational actions of the unions.Open ControlsA british prime minister elected with a 30% share of a 60% turn out...so with a 20% vote for him off the electorate..telling unions they need a 51 % vote..Anybody else see the slight flaw to his argument ?
Open ControlsYes.
People who don't vote shouldn't complain about the results.Open Controls
N. Jelavic on the radar, then.
Open ControlsYep, fortunately still very far off and not thought to be an immediate threat to my team sheet.
Open Controls
@Bubz... here it is. The legendary comeback 😎
http://puu.sh/6RoyQ.jpgOpen ControlsI was in London today and on trains for about 5 hours in total - today was the least busy I've ever seen London. I have a feeling the game will be on.
Open ControlsBut there was no strike today?
Open Controls
If West Ham and Arsenal can go ahead Fulham should be told that the match will go ahead. Why didn't we hear anything about this possibility earlier?
Open Controls- Open Controls
Who is the best West Ham defender to own at the moment?
