Our third Members article of the week takes a look at the main Captaincy contenders on option. With Liverpool welcoming Swansea to Anfield, Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge are big armband favourites for Sunday’s showdown, whilst City’s home clash with Stoke has Edin Dzeko on Fantasy radars. Robin van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor are also in contention for the captaincy ahead of trips to Palace and Norwich, whilst we also offer up our weekly alternative “Captain Unsensible” option for those on the lookout for a punt:

Who has greater chance of playing LB for L'Pool with GJ back now
Flanagan or Cissokho?Open Controls -
If you could...
A: Use 2 FT and bring in Puncheon (or possibly Ince) and Ward for Amalfitano and Kolorov (has to be both) and bench them both.
or
B: Use 1 FT and bring in Jedinak as a straight swap for Amalfitano, give Kolorov one more week, bring in Ward next GW and have enough for Johnson and Aguero by GW 30.
Which would you do?
Has to be B, right?Open Controls-
B, but not Jedinak
Open Controls-
Appreciate that Jedinak is not a major FPL force but, given I'll be benching him for most of the rest of the season, I can't see the sense in paying more for a CRY MID. I'm short of a straight swap for Puncheon or better unfortunately.

Can anyone who's a member confirm if the Captain sensible analysis is often right on who to choose?

Open Controls

Article favoured Hazard last GW - that paid off massively 🙂

It doesn't tell you who to choose, but gives information which helps with the choice!

Really torn between Suarez & Sturridge for captaincy this week..
Since Sturridge's return he's put in 9 9 11 9 6 15 in his last six. Hard to ignore.
Suarez has fired 3 blanks in a row but hasn't been far away by any means, he's still playing brilliantly and rattling the woodwork in these matches.
GrrrrrOpen Controls -
Suarez is due. And when Suarez is due, Suarez is due.

Suarez or Sturridge C and why
Open Controls-
Read the article and you'll find out, Rambo.

Alternately, check out the comparison tool for the last few weeks - interesting stuff.

Or you'll just find someone else's opinion on the Suarez/Sturridge captaincy question who doesn't know the answer because no one knows what's gonna happen and essentially it's pot luck.
Open Controls-
Lol, yeah it's tight but I wouldn't say it's 'pot luck'. I still think the last few weeks stats say Suarez should edge it. Then again, Sturridge has outscored him...

Repost as it got lost on the end of the previous article
Would you consider the following transfers good, especially with GW 29 looming?
Benteke -> Adebayor
Barkley -> Puncheon
brings me up to 6 in GW 29, with 2, max.3 more to come in in GW 29.Open Controls-
I'd hold off as long as possible on gw 29 transfers. Everton could easily get a midweek PL match that game week
Open Controls-
Thanks a lot!
The only direct GW 29 would be the Puncheon one, Adebayor for Beneteke is one I planned for weeks and I'm tired of giving Benteke chances, although the Newcastle and Norwich matches still bother me.Open Controls

In case Flanagan doesn't start, who should be my first defensive sub, Ward or Chambers?
Leaning towards Ward. 😯Open Controls -
-
-
Play 2 out of Cahill, Coleman, Chambers and Ward
Open Controls -
In most cases a trivial question but play:
A) Mirallas away at a solid Chelsea side, or
B) Bacuna away against a vulnerable Newcastle side?Open Controls-
Nobody is vulnerable at home against Villa..

Any reason to think Adebayor won't play on Sunday. These reports of him playing with an injury are putting me off buying him. But given I've already got RvP, he's the best striker out there with a GW29
Open Controls-
I have him ... 🙂
Open Controls -
*Cough* Rickie...
Open Controls-
I prefer Adebayor over Lambert
Ricke has his advantages (pens etc) but Saints goals are spread amongst him, JRod and Lallana. Ade is the main man at Spurs.Open Controls-
True, but Lambert is cheaper, better fixtures, set pieces (as you say), and doesn't have a yellow flag 🙂

Fancy a non-suarez captaincy this week. Who from:
Adebayor
Van Persie
Hazard
Gerrard
Chamberlain
?Open Controls-
-
Definitely captain Suarez, but out of them, RVP.
Open Controls
-
The question is, who is the most in form striker?
The answer: Sturridge.
The only two people that you should consider except for Sturridge are Suarez (as the best striker in the league) or Dzeko (with arguably the best fixture of the weekend.)
Anyone other than these three and you're probably gonna have a bad time.Open Controls-
Blinkered. 🙂
Open Controls -
Open Controls
-
Adebayor might have something to say about that
Open Controls-
He's just saying who he's got, in a very biased manner.
Open Controls-
I don't have Dzeko, I'm not being biased at all, I genuinely think that Sturridge, Suarez, and Dzeko are the three best options for captaincy this week.
Who's better? Adebayor up against a side that have conceded 1 in 4 home games (including both Manchester sides?) or RVP playing for a United side that look like they might struggle to beat Palace?Open Controls

Could really do with a Sturridge blank this weekend. Come on you Swans!
