How does lukaku > pod and puncheon > nasri look for -4?

    Leaving me with

    Mannone (cech)
    Azpil - baines - zab
    Nasri - Ramsay - mata - sterling
    Suarez - aguero - pod

Gives plenty of time to find replacement. The replacement needa to b in by end of season to get fair chance in transfer market to make his own team. The last few games should be used as his trial for a number of players, or even a shopping window to help get rid of the deadwood

    Moyes gone.

So much for all that talk about not being the kind of club that sacks managers and that 6 year contract bravado.

Right decision, but the way the club has conducted itself of the last 10 months has been a shambles.

It was the wrong choice of course.

But why dish out a 6 year contract to a new manager when he is unproven at the top level and they haven't had a change in manager in 25 years.

There were sly digs at other clubs by continually stating they aren't the kind of club to sack their manager. Turns out they are no better than anyone else, just more arrogant.

But that is my point. It was a show of bravado. Trying to give the impression they are somehow more honourable than say Chelsea, when in reality there probably are clauses and United have to sack a manager when it isn't working, just like Hodgson, AVB etc.

      Mm you again 😉
They had no choice but to sack DM - it was a huge mistake and had to be rectified before the summer .
The club (over the last 10 months) has done nothing wrong IMO , the club gave Moyes ample opportunity to come good , but unfortunately it hasn't worked out and that needs to be rectified.
David Moyes is a decent man and a good manager but this wasn't the right job for him , I wish it was as he's a genuine person and deserves respect , I'm still not fully sure if he ever got that from the board / players etc tho I do believe the genuine fan did.

Don't get me wrong, they are finally making the right decision!

It's the six year contract and the bravado at the beginning of Moyes tenure that United (or maybe just Fergie) got very wrong IMO

Completely backwards move, then they'd have to get ANOTHER Fergie replacement if he did well for the last few games. It would remind the players of the shortcomings of other managers and make it harder for the dressing room to conform to a new manager's ideals.

They don't need to win the rest of their games, may as well look for a proper replacement and just let the team have freedom for one or two games.

I don't think Giggs has the same effect as Fergie..

Fergie coming back in would remind the old United boys of the "old regime" and would delay the rebuilding process. They need to move on from Fergie.

The Silva injury did not look good, be surprised if he's back this season. This, plus the YYT news meant I had to go early in the transfer market to fund Lallana to YYT.

Team set up (-4), captain undecided:

    Speroni
    Ivanovic Baines Coleman
    Gerrard Eriksen Ramsey Lallana
    Rooney Suarez Aguero
    Subs: Boruc Mutch Chester Mariappa

If YYT declared fit for weekend, do I bring him in for Lallana for -4. Rival has YYT and Lallana & I have a 55+ lead at the top of the ML.
