We delve into the Gameweek 36 data this evening after Arsenal’s clash with Newcastle drew the line under another round of matches. With the double Gameweek fast approaching, we cast any eye over some standout performers from City, United, Sunderland and West Brom, whilst we also analyse a couple of popular Fantasy protagonists whose recent droughts are persuading many owners to part company:

I'm going with both but Demi if you have to choose one

Worth upgrading Chester with my FT?
Chester ------> 5.4 ???
I'm thinking Sunderland/Alonso........Open Controls -

JT Kos Demel
Gerrard Mata Nasri Rambo

She looks good. Gerrard > Yaya worth another -4 I reckon

A quick look guys...Is this ok ok or good enough to go?
Mannone (Boruc)
Jones, Iva, Flanagan (Ward, Coleman)
Ramsey, Mata, Yaya, Nasri (Punch)
Rooney, Aguero, Wickham

Real vs Chelsea would be epic.
Need an early goal then parked that busOpen Controls-
don't know how that would be epic
Open Controls-
after watching Madrid (CR, Bale, Modric, Di Maria & co) thrash BM.. do you think AM or Chelsea would attack them in the finals?
Attacking team vs Defensive team .. would be a tactical game for sure!Open Controls -
Let me explain
Once upon a time Carlo manage Chelsea
Ironacly, again once upon a time Jose managed Real
Now this may not be classified as epic for you.
It's probably because you may think arsenal winning fa cup after an Almost decade and grabbing 4th spot is more epic.
Rant over.Open Controls-
😆
Nah it would be epic indeed. I think Chelsea will actually beat emOpen Controls -
lol calm down...just saying the game itself may be a bit attritional cos of the way chelski way...the spectacle on the other hand is crazy

What would you do with this lot?
Mannone / Boruc
Coleman / Chambers / Ward / Olsson / Ivanovic
Mata / Ramsey / Noone / Eriksen / Yaya Touré
Suárez / Agüero / Rooney
1 FT, £0.7m in the bank.
Willing to make 3 transfers if needed.

Seems pointless. May as well sell Coleman for Alonso and get Nasri that way.

I cant wait for the Chelsea match tonight.
Perfect chance to get a wee nap.
Jose is a tactical genius. I mean telling his players to keep a backline of 10 & catch a team on the break when they make a mistake, or use a set piece to bore out a 1-0 win...
How genius!!
Plus fall over a lot, roll around the ground & taking 10 mins to take a kick out.Open Controls-
Mastermind.
Open Controls -
its not pretty, but it works
Open Controls -
Will you be strapped to your comfy chair eyes pried open like Alex deLarge?
Open Controls -
He's a brilliant manager and people who argue against that make themselves look foolish!
Open Controls-
Brilliant manager, yes.
Tactical mastermind, no.
He can set up a team better than nearly anyone and he can get all of his players to die for him on the pitch, but he's not coming up with anything new, and he's not a genius, he just knows how to win and grind out results.Open Controls-
Frustrating Liverpool early in the game by wasting time was a tactical stroke as they always score early and take out the opposition by storm. Give him the credit for thinking this strategy apart from bus parking
Open Controls-
He deserves credit and it was exactly what Chelsea needed to do but it wasn't a tactical masterclass, a masterclass is something very impressive that showed him to be a master at it, but Palace and West Ham and lots of others employ that tactic, I don't think Mourinho can say that was a masterclass when they just time wasted and booted the ball away at every opportunity, it would be different if they parked the bus and then also did something with the ball, but they barely even tried to play.
Open Controls-
Liverpool could have reacted better as they needed just a point but it is in the past and by 5th may we will know who claims the title & despite Mou's tactics/antics ,it isn't going to be Chelsea for sure

Haters gonna hate 😎
Open Controls -
in fairness, the playacting is tedious.
but lining up teams to defend properly against high class opposition is simply not that easy.
if teams had any sense, they wouldn't press too hard but would let chelsea come on to them and then open up the game.
the tactis are walys fascinating for me.
plus im off to the bridge tonight
CCCCAARRREEEFFFFRRRRREEEEEEEEEOpen Controls-
Enjoy it tonight! 😀
Because if you get through, we'll probably kick Mourinho in the face.
Twice.

I think the final is going to be close no matter what, but I don't think you's would be able to park the bus against us in the final, we wouldn't fall for it and Ronaldo/Bale/Benzema are too good to be kept out for 90 minutes.. We're not Liverpool and we're not Atleti 😉
Open Controls-
to be honest, you parked the bus in both legs against bayern, you just happen to be lightning on the counter. whereas we have demba 😉
Open Controls-
We didn't park the bus last night? 😛 we won 0-4??
We parked the bus in the first leg but in fairness everyone expected Bayern to be more dangerous.. We don't normally park the bus 😉Open Controls
-
-
You're not going to be able to park the bus against Atletico or Chelsea either.
Open Controls
-
-
-
This might come back to haunt you, like whatever's haunting Mourinho's once rather handsome mug.
Open Controls-
I'm not saying we'll win, just that I can see Casillas or Ramos or a host of other players potentially kicking the ball very hard at the Chelsea dugout for a throw in..
Open Controls-
That bad?
It's a shame, really. I recall Mourinho's 11/12 Real being a genuinely very exciting team to watch (admittedly as someone who only saw a handful of games). He now looks as if he's aged 20 years since then.Open Controls-
He scape-goated Casillas for no reason whatsoever, called the entire team traitors and "sons of bitches", and nearly ruined the reputation of Real Madrid and its players.
We hated him at Madrid.Open Controls

Morning lads. You reckon there is much in it between A and B??
A) Kolarov Azpi Alonso Mata Sterling
B) Evra Jones Chester Zaba/Demi EriksenOpen Controls -
Hi, which of these moves would you do?
A. Eriksen > Yaya (-4)
B. Coleman > Any defender except United / City (-4)...please specify!
C. Both of above for -8
D. Neither
ThanksOpen Controls -
Hi guys what would you do with this team?
Adrian - Price
Demichellis - Cahill - Baines - Bardsley - Chambers
Mata - Nasri - AJ - Delph - Mutch
Rooney - Aguero - Suarez
Bank £0.6m
Thoughts..
GW37 - Adrian & Baines -> Mannone & Evra (-4)
GW38 - Mutch -> Sterling

Mutch > Yaya and Baines > Alonso
Can you afford that?Open Controls

maybe...I think ramsey will get rested gw 38 and city play west ham at home so could be worth it
-8 for aj with great fixtures is a bit much I thinkOpen Controls-
Whats the reason behind Ramsey rested on GW 38?
Hull is a week away right?Open Controls-
top 4 wrapped up...you never know...it may be worth it as at this point in the season most want to take risks...but I guess the perentages say no
Open Controls -
4th should be secured already. I think he'd still start though. Needs to build fitness
Open Controls -
I think he will be rested/ protected. No point on risking our most important player.

Is being in the top 100 good for this point in the game?
Open Controls -
Don't you hate it when bad transfer decisions previous GW sets you £0.1 back for doing smart moves this week 🙁
Open Controls-
I lost 0.9m by waiting to do my transfers last week which I knew at the start of the week. So fay I've lost 0.3m this week so theoretically I could have had a $5.8m defender like Kos instead of Alonso this week. Not sure that that is an improvement so actualy I am ok 🙂 Sorry about your situation though
Open Controls

Every single team looks the same.
🙄Open Controls-
Yep. Terrible conditions for making up ground.
Open Controls -

im already looking at GW 38 to try and sniff out a differential in my ML....

It's the last 2 games of the season and there's a DGW, inevitable really..
Considering Giaccherini myself 😉Open Controls-
Tired of seeing RMT's. Pointless.

Depressing isn't it? I don't remember it being much different this time last year.
FPL towers need to change the scoring to reward a wider pool of players - points for recovered balls etc Otherwise you end up where we are - only about 10 attacking players score well enough at any point in time to be worth owning.Open Controls -
Luckily FFS league in total represents only about 10% of the top 10k players and these forums no doubt even less so although you may not climb up or drop down the members or scout league we may still be pleasantly surprised how many non FFS players and dare I say it casual players can still be overtaken
Open Controls-
with a rank of 43k I'm afraid it's only important if I can retain my ML title. But even in ML everyone owns Mata/Erik/Suarez/Rooney/Manonne/City def/Ramsey...
Open Controls-
Yep and they all trading in Yaya this week for a hit 🙂
Im always surprised how my consistently template team still makes up and loses ground with OR. I've been stuck between 100-150 in the members league which shows my consistency with the members though.
Teams are particularly similar this week so perhaps it will be less OR difference.Open Controls-
Im not sure if I should go all out this week with the risk of losing ML and making it impossible to have a chance in GW 38 or play it safe"[eg Rooney(c)]

This might not be the case for long though with the rapid growth of this site..

Can't wait for that Danny Ings brace on opening day 😉

If a person finishes with an OR of 100k starting at gw 3 then what would be his approx. OR rank considering he started in gw 1 ??
Addition of 80-100 points minimum.Open Controls-
At least 100 points. The thing is you get a better team starting late outside the team value angle. It's still a good rank for missing 2 GWs.
Open Controls-
I'm 14,445 in the GW1 league, but 28 places behind in the overall league at 14,483.
Open Controls-
38?
I got pass all those from GW2 etc finally.Open Controls
-
-
The guy could have finished inside 10k if he had started in gw 1. Still it is an added advantage because you know who are the form players.
Open Controls-
Better to just start in GW1 and take -44 in GW2.
Open Controls

Would you prefer Wickham/Toure or Dzeko/Mata?
This is going to be part of Suarez, Eriksen & Shaw -> XXX, XXX & EvraOpen Controls -
-8 taken. Now who to captain(c)
Yaya
Mata
Rooney
AgueroOpen Controls-
Rooney.
If chasing, Yaya or Aguero.Open Controls-
Is 23pt behind chasing? When leader doesn't have Yaya or Kun(I do)
Open Controls-
Imo, yes. I am 25 behind, and leader has already taken an 8 pt hit. (Which I'm probably doing myself)
If I get in Dzeko, I'm captaining him. If not, Yaya.Open Controls-
It also depends on how many differentials you have. Surely he has to bring in at least one of Yaya/Kun?
Open Controls-
I dunno. So far my guess is he did Luk->Rooney for free. He has 3.8m ITB(!) and my guess is he will bring one of Kun(for Sturr) or Yaya/Silva for a Midf for -4.
That will bring lead down to 19 again.
So basically my main differentials are one of Yaya or Kun and Ramsey.
😕Open Controls-
I have Demi, he has Zaba. Not much in that one. What worries me is my defence. I had to sell JT, while he hung onto Azpil.
He also has AJ.
I'm worried.Open Controls-
I wouldn't be worried about AJ. He is also one of my own differentials, and I'm not very confident he will contribute with anything to reduce the gap.
Dzeko is probably the most tempting option for me, just not sure if I'll have the cojones to captain him as well.Open Controls
-
-
That's pretty much where I'm at myself.
Rival has probably brought in Rooney, Mata and another doubler. Already has Yaya and Kun. Can't see myself catching him unless he fails miserably with the captaincyOpen Controls
-
-
-
-
-
-
I can narrow it down to Rooney or Aguero for you.
I've not decised between the 2, Rooney form at home pretty good. Aguero will probably get taken off second half if City build a lead, taking the edge off any explosion risk. So I'm leaning towards Rooney but could easily flip backOpen Controls
-
-
Are Koscielny or Sagna considered sure starters also for GW38?
Open Controls -
Morning folks!
Should i do this....?
1FT and 0.6 ITB.
Thinking a -8 for
Suarez > Sturridge
Eriksen/Ramsey > Yaya
Coleman > Evra.
Im chasing a 6 point lead and i currently have...
Boruc (Davis)
Flanagan Coleman Azpil (Ward Mariappa)
Eriksen Mata(vc) Ramsey Nasri (Noone)
Suarez Aguero Rooney(C)Open Controls -
michael owen @themichaelowen 12h
I know it was a daft tackle and Alonso has won the CL before but I can't have that a player should be deprived of playing in one of the biggest games in the world of football for picking up two yellows. The punishment is too harsh. Only red cards should constitute a ban.
Agree?Open Controls-
Agreed.
Open Controls -
I can see both sides.
I think bans should still be in place otherwise players would just do what they want.
Maybe even increase the ban to every 3 yellow cards after the group stages or something like that.
It would still employ a ban and aim at reducing silly fouling, and at the same time leave the responsibility on the player to make sure he doesn't miss the finalOpen Controls-
Fair point.
Open Controls

Disagree.
I wish Mark van Bommel was still around to drive the point home.Open Controls -
Yep agree yellow cards scrapped before final

Gtg for this dgw? Have taken 1 hit so far
Mannone*
zaba* evra* vlaar* (chester* kaboul)
mata* yaya* AJ* salah (barkley)
suarez aguero* rooney*
very templatey i know...15 points between four of us in my ML...gonna be tightOpen Controls -
My crazy -12 (Considering Silva isn't fit)
Suarez + Eriksen + Silva + Distin OUT >>> Wickham + Yaya + Mata + Evra IN
Would give me:
Mannone
Kosc Azpi Evra
Ramsey Yaya Mata Nasri
Rooney Wickham Kun
xx Sterling Dann Dummett
Have enough to bring in Suarez in gw 38Open Controls-
I thought Silva was back in training?
If not, I support the bonanza.Open Controls -
Who you bringing Suarez in for? Do you need to do the Wickham transfer?
Open Controls-
Yes to fund the other moves.
Rooney out Suarez in gw 38.Open Controls-
Go for it, My gut is telling me people have missed Wickham's points but he has the extra game with decent fixtures and the other 3 transfers all look good, only other option is Borini who despite having penalties and arguable being the better player of the 2 is not on the same run of form
Open Controls
-
-
-
-
Should I get a City or Utd defender for this DGW?
Open Controls -
-
I don't like the Suarez to Sturridge part
I saw above Coleman > Evra (-4) is your other move and I think that is about neutral.
How much would you have to spend on a replacement for Coleman to fund the Erik > Yaya transfer?Open Controls
