With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

Nothing in the bank.

He is aware that at the back he is relying heavily on clean sheets at Newcastle and West Brom. Any advice on improving his back-line would be appreciated. Also, is he right to opt for the expensive Daniel Sturridge? Will a lack of Arsenal cover come back to bite him?

  Definitely make some of those changes.
  
  A) Caulker nailed and decent goal threat.
  B) Clyne more attacking than Taylor although I think there's better options at 5, particularly given Southampton's opening fixtures.
  C) Evans I would keep, cheap way into United defence with good fixtures.
  D) Good move, strong pre-season and good fixtures. Now in favoured position.
  E) He's a good 5.0 mid but I'd downgrade to 4.5 and use the change on upgrading Nugent or Eriksen/Sterling.
  F) Yes, Austin? On pens and good opening fixtures.

    Caulker? There'll be no clean sheets at QPR!
    Downgrading your 5th mf to 4.5m gives little option rotation so you're stuck with say Austin who has no proven credibility in the premiership. I'd stick in Mutch for Davies & rotate with the 5.5m striker

    Ox is a bit of a punt tbh... He scored 2 passed palace last season and with walcott out and ozil still lacking match fitnesses, i think he's got a good chance starting. Might have to re-consider davies.. Any suggestions? Thanks

  You may need to play early wildcard if the defense doesn't hold up. Also some benching dilemma in that front 8.

  Why have you got a 6m defender sitting on the bench? Seems a waste as you can't play 5 midfielders and 3 forwards, so you're always going to have a fair bit of £££ sitting on the bench. Downgrade one of them and upgrade your defence.
  
  Also not keen on Barkley pick at his price.

  Wouldn't play 343 with that front line. Definitely downgrade one of your midfielders to upgrade one of your strikers. Dzeko the best vfm up front I think.
  
  Think there are better 5m options in defence as well. Ward? Caulker? Or find the extra .5m for Debuchy/Evans?

  I'm thinking Davies will but Rose has signed for 4 or 5 years so their intentions are shown for both as they paid 10mil or so for Davies.Maybe a wait and see ,Spurs have been pretty dodgy at the back of late and with Davies likely the only change in defense who knows if it will improve that much

  Steven Naismith might be your best bet, although he doesn't always start he gets enough game time to score a few points, might also be worth looking at Lucas Jutkiewicz - been on good form in pre-season.
